BEFORE: German singer Mandy Capristo looks for a signature win that vaults her into the otherwise crowded flyweight title contention and she might have just found the perfect opponent in Jade Thirlwall who is widely viewed as a much better fighter than her record indicates. The South Shields pocket dynamo posted a respectable 3-4 record on the other side of the Atlantic while in the BBU almost all of her losses have come at the hands of former champions or title challengers outright. This is still the same Jade T. who blasted out Camila Cabello not once but twice and BBU TV's Denise van Outen claims she'd have been a BBU champion many moons ago if only stable manager Frankie Cocozza set his priorities straight. Flipping Myleene Klass and Ola Jordan through the sheets ain't the way to go, sir!

Round 1:
Mandy is ready to roll out with the slugging heat and she makes sure Jade spends the opening minute of the round in hectic retreat as the punches fly thick & fast alright. The early combo cashes in on target and drops the younger singer out of the zone with Mandy plugging away in high demand. Jade uses her quick footwork to spin out of more trouble but she doesn't quite tame the furious German attack with a mild-mannered counter-punching effort and yields additional real estate when Capristo whacks her up the chimney. Both women tangle along the ropes where Jade is seemingly able to limit the damage at first but Mandy then charges up her gut and pummels the exposed ribcage slumping the Geordie singer into loud shrieks come the bell. Huh! Some worried looks in the Foxes entourage already!

Round 2:
Jade realizes she has to recover her grounds quickly but Mandy's superior slugging delivery keeps her very much honest during the second round as well. Just no way through the German buzzsaw with Mandy working on head-hunting speed dial. The audience counts on a whirlwind punch to settle this one but Thirlwall maintains the lithe mobility to avoid a looming disaster even though she's not winning any bonus points by sheer defensive skills. She almost defaults the round on purpose while Capristo is happy to empty her pockets as she beats the English singer by the numbers. Jade tells Myleene Klass to zip it during the interval and Foxes owner Frankie C. remains more interested in Ola Jordan's cleavage over in the VIP lounge for the time being.

Rounds 3 & 4:
Finally a promising series from the Geordie singer who cracks leather into the German's midsection before working downstairs in the phone booth to neutralize Capristo's high-octane delivery. Jade settles down to beat the exposed ribcage like a drum but Mandy's desperate heave over the top allows her to avoid more punishment and she shakes off the fellow brunette down the stretch. However some air supply has been removed from Mandy's lungs and she struggles to connect with more slugging hits while Thirlwall pancakes the midriff to get on the board. More of the same in the fourth as Jade is able to dominate the phone booth exchange; she digs deep to pound the German's ribcage and the Lioness singer has to salvage a clinching stalemate down the stretch. Both women also clash heads amid a mad scramble for physical supremacy but Denise van Outen calls the fight even on points after four.

Round 5:
Jade begins to outwork the older singer upstairs as well and shows superior command thumping hard leather into Mandy's face. The Lioness fighter refuses to blink at first but then realizes she's getting pounded outright and tries to stall the action with a blatant clinching attempt. Jade bumps her off and drives a left hook on the jaw before another looping shot finds the eye. Mandy stumbles to her heels and has no room to escape a gut-checking series that reels her onto the ropes where Thirlwall continues to hammer extra pressure. As stubborn as the German girl is, she folds into loud spasms come the final minute and leaves the Foxes corner celebrating at the bell over the overall momentum change.

Round 6:
Mandy tries to regain her superior slugging stance but she's too slow for the Geordie opponent who ducks underneath the initial attempt and lays it into the toned abs instead. Ugh! Jade cranks up the body assault volume and rips more leather down in the hole before Capristo simply checks out of the haze... she stumbles back onto the ropes and freezes for a precious moment as Jade NAILS her with a right hook on the ear. Oi, Mandy! DOWN GOES THE LIONESS BRUNETTE onto her back amid another loud cheer from the Cardiff audience. Mel B. tries to urge her fighter to get back onto her feet however Mandy only sits up at seven and appears to have completely lost her awareness. Oh, wait... she gets up at nine after all... she doesn't respond to the ref though and slumps into his embrace with another quiet whimper so the fight is stopped!!! TKO6 Jade Thirlwall!!!

AFTER: Jade performs a backflip in the center of the ring and begins to dance inside the ropes as the dazed German opponent is escorted back to the Lioness corner. Meanwhile Foxes PR director Myleene Klass enters the ring and promises to answer the demand for more Jade T. action in the foreseeable future: "I realize Holly Hagan is enjoying her spotlight in the sun right now and there's always tension among those North East girls. But we've got the one-two punch covered so it's only a matter of time before Jade earns herself another chance. She might be the best flyweight never to hold a lineal title out there. She truly deserves more credit than washed-up old hacks like Cheryl Cole and others!"
