Intro:
We kick off tonights action in the world famous Kooyong Stadium with two beautiful singers battling it out, English fighter Jessie J is looking to get her first win in over five years, she takes on the FCBA's Iggy Azalea, the Aussie battler hoping to win on home soil to start a run of wins for the first time in a while after her victory a few months ago against Jessica Ashley.

Heading into the bout Green & Gold magazines Sarah Cummings got a chance to have a quick word with both fighters, Jessie J spoke to her after she had been on a morning run, Jessie joking "sure you didn't want to come? I am sure I have spare trainers" with Sarah playfully waving her hands that she wouldn't like to, with both laughing as they shake hands.

Jessie is asked how she is feeling about this fight, the English lass replying "I can't pretend I am coming in with momentum, I know that I've probably been asked to fight Iggy so she can score a win in Oz, use me as a punch bag and look good for the local media, thing is the people who have been beating me are either title contenders or people who have won titles, that gives me some confidence I can out box someone like Iggy, who let's be honest isn't going to be winning titles anytime soon" Sarah nodding as Jessie takes a drink out of her body of energy drink.

After wiping her brow with the back of her right hand, Jessie adds "look at me also, I have always been physically fit, I am not the only one who wonders how dedicated Iggy really is to fighting, maybe she won a few fights at school and assumed she naturally is a bad arse, she had Charlize Theron as a mentor at one time and I see no improvement from watching her on FCBA pay per views" Jessie certainly cutting with her statement, not holding back on her opponent verbally, she tells Sarah she better get going for a quick shower and then to training, jogging off as Sarah waves her off with a smile.

Sarah then gets to talk to Iggy, whose part of an open workout day for the media with the other Aussie fighters on the bill, Iggy walking into the backstage area in a white sports bra, yoga pants, white sandals and holding her white 12oz sparring gloves in her left hand, Iggy smiles as she gives Sarah a sweaty hug, probably not so welcome considering Sarah is wearing a green dress and isn't as tall as Iggy.

After that Iggy is asked what made her want to be part of the Crossover preview with the BBU, Iggy answers "I was told this was going to be in Australia with a mix of some of our best and brightest here, I had to come showcase my talents, hell I might look at the ACB soon, the welterweight division in our country needs a spark because Jestina (Campbell) ain't a champion to be proud of' broadside attack aimed at the ACB welterweight champion, Sarah grins hearing that knowing the media in Australia will eat that one up, especially if Azalea wins this bout.

The subject turns to her opponent, Iggy scoffs as she tells Sarah "Jessie ain't shit, she is a wannabe fighter, three f**king wins in her career, she should be embarrassed but she probably will claim that she has had this issue or that one, book full of excuses why she isn't tough enough or strong enough to survive in this sport, as I proved against Jessica several months ago, I am ready to go on a tear if given the chance to prove it" she looks fired up, right fist clenched looking ready to hit something, so maybe thinking better of this interview, Iggy excuses herself to go get a shower, nodding to Sarah, who looks happy Iggy didn't get too fired up.

Fighting time, first through the doors heading towards the ring is Jessie with her coach, mostly boos aimed at the visiting fighter, who doesn't look too bothered by them as she marches down the aisle wearing a black sarong, black sandals and black gloves, as you can guess when the sarong and sandals come off, Jessie enters the ring wearing a black one piece swimsuit, bare foot, while her hair is in a braid as she bounces on her toes, staring straight ahead as the opposite corners as she ignores the taunts that she is getting knocked out.

Here come the cheers as Iggy heads onto the aisle now, throwing a few punches to show the crowd she is ready, Iggy leads her coach to the ring wearing a white one piece with gold stripes down the sides, white gloves with gold thumbs as her hair is also in a braid, stepping into the ring, Iggy stares across the ring at Jessie, neither looking away as both clearly want this fight.

Walking to the center of the ring at the order of the referee, both women keep their intense stares locked as fans chant "Iggy's gonna K.O you!" At Jessie, they forcefully fist bump as Jessie sneers at Iggy, jogging back to their corners this time, last second advice is dealt out before the bell rings to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
At the bell Iggy is looking to force the issue right out the gate, missing with a few cross punches as Jessie moves up on her toes, Iggy more flat footed as she stalks after the raven haired fighter, who is stabbing jabs back into her face, trying to stay away from the ropes, doing a good job over the opening minute as the crowd is roaring Iggy to get her.

They get their wish when Iggy finally reads Jessie's movement, landing a right cross to her cheek, then giving her a shove with both hands to her chest, referee letting it go without a warning, instead watching Azalea follow up by bashing away at the body of Jessie, short digging punches as Jessie tries to land punches into the side of the blondes head to make her back off, instead having to hold onto her to force the referee to break them up.

Resuming with just over a minute to go, Iggy is starting to catch Jessie more with her own jab in their exchanges, landing one into the chest of the English fighter to push her to her heels, a straight into the face is followed by a left cross that fires up the crowd more. Jessie boxing around near the ropes, trying to hold off the power hitter with straight shots, Iggy having to settle for trading with her till the bell rings, great start for the crowd favourite as they stand and cheer, Iggy jogging back to her corner nodding her head, looking excited to show them what she can do.

Round 2:
Coming back out their corners trading more punches as Jessie doubles up her jab, Iggy trying to catch her with cross punches behind her own jab, maybe buoyed too much by the last round success, Iggy starts stepping in with hooks that Jessie easily reads, banging in counter one-two combos to the face of Azalea in reply, keeping the blonde on her toes as she moves around her.

Again Iggy tries to rough up her opponent with shoves, Jessie plays spoiler with clinches as things slow down a little, crowd not happy as they wanna see Iggy destroy Jessie, instead as they resume it's Jessie smartly using the space to stab in scoring punches, keeping Iggy at range where she wants the action through the opening two minutes.

But Azalea isn't going to be kept back all round, landing a stiff jab to the chin of Jessie, she lands an overhand right to the cheek of her opponent, then drives Jessie back into a neutral corner, where the brunette covers up tight as Iggy looks to break her, as many punches land on the arms or gloves of Jessie as they do clean, the round comes to an end showing that for her record, Jessie can box smartly, Iggy doesn't look too bothered by that fact, confident in her own ability to smash down the visitor to her country.

Round 3:
Similar pattern to the opening two rounds, Iggy giving chase of Jessie, this time though she is closing the gap more with little head movements throwing off Jessie's aim, allowing her to whack in more stiff punches through to the face of Jess, holding the center of the ring firmly by the end of the first minute, herding her opponent around near the ropes.

Jessie is stopping her closing the gap with some crisp punches around the torso of Iggy, even landing some into her breasts to rile up the blonde, who times her attack to land a left cross to her cheek, a straight follows to snap back the head of Jessie, who has to cover up again as Iggy closes in, several thuds can be heard as Iggy is landing more flush this time, especially around the sides of Jessie's body to make her groan out as her body curls up around the punches.

After clinching up with Iggy, they are broken up with Jessie moving into space, Iggy looking to keep on her as they fight around the ring, Jessie boxing off the back foot till Iggy can press her against the ropes again, getting in a few more body shots just before the round ends, Iggy jogging back to her corner all smiles as Jessie scowls at her, Jessie takes a deep breath before she sits down, maybe showing she is hurting or to keep herself calm as she sits on her stool.

Round 4:
Iggy looks to have the confidence behind her as she comes a little quicker after Jessie, stabbing in straight punches as Jessie keeps on the move, heading more to the left of Iggy, who tries to land a left hook that finds air, instead a straight right lands around her left eye, making Iggy pause as she blinks hard with her left eye, Jessie steps in with a hard left into the liver area, making Iggy cry out as she backs off.

Members of the crowd look worried as Iggy is forced to retreat, Jessie smartly using feints as she doesn't want to be caught by any counter shots herself, Iggy takes the bait and swings in with a right hook that finds air, JESSIE INSTEAD RAMS HOME ANOTHER RIGHT INTO THAT LIVER AREA! IGGY CRIES OUT AS SHE STARTS FALLING TO HER KNEES, A LEFT HOOK LANDS ON HER EAR TO SEND HER TO ALL FOURS INSTEAD!

The crowd are stunned! Some boos ringing out as Jessie marches to the neutral corner, 1...2....3....4.. Iggy spits out her gumshield, eyes shut as tears look to fill them while she sucks in air, 5...6...7... Iggy punches the canvas with her right glove in anger, 8... Groaning as she pushes slowly to her haunches, 9...10 it's all over!

Winner Jessie J KO Round 4

After:
Minor upset here as Jessie heads to Iggy's back yard and beats her to score her first win in five years! She doesn't care about the boos as she jogs around the ring, doing a lap of honour for herself with her right ear cupped, clearly enjoying giving some back to the crowd, with some probably regretting telling her she'd be the one knocked out.

The winner finally settling into her corner, sitting on her stool taking a breath as she nods with a smile to her coach, who tells her "that certainly fired you up" both laughing at that, gloves being taken off as they discuss how good Jessie was tonight, the coach more then happy with how she fought.

Iggy on the other hand is helped to her stool, all the confidence she had stepping into the ring looks drained away, she is staring at the canvas as she catches her breath, an ice pack placed onto her stomach by the cut man, her coach removing her gloves as not much is being said, if Iggy thought she was back on the journey to the top, this has put a hell of a road block in the way of that.

All Iggy can do is catch her breath as Jessie walks to the middle of the ring, getting her left hand raised in victory as some respectfully applaud her, others won't stop booing, Jessie just grins as she shrugs her shoulders at them, throwing a few punches towards the camera while bouncing on her toes, trying to show she could have kept on fighting or even have another bout now, rubbing it into an upset Iggy, who leaves the ring with help from her crew.

No word from Iggy as she heads to the changing rooms, there is word of banging going on in her room, looks like the folding chairs in there are taking the brunt of her wrath, this wasn't at all how the script was supposed to go for her or her fans tonight, maybe Jessie's words before the bout have hit home a little hard now.

The winner leaves the ring with her crew, telling Sarah as she heads towards her locker room "I told you she wasn't anything special, people better respect how good I actually am" Sarah nodding as she looks stunned that Iggy lost, not exactly the headlines she would want for her magazine, instead it's an English fighter winning on Aussie soil.
