Pre-match:

Aurelia stands ready in her corner with an orange sports bra, black high cut trunks completed with red gloves while XinLin stands opposite her with white sports bra and blue trunks, completed with yellow gloves.

Round 1:

XinLin plays it safe and keeps her distance away from Aurelia who mounts on the offensive early. Managing her range, XinLin jabs Aurelia whenever she gets too close, frustrating Aurelia. Aurelia keeps inching forward but XinLin avoids getting trapped in the ropes and corner, thwarting Aurelia’s offense. The round ends with both girls remaining relatively unharmed but XinLin takes the round with her precise jabbing.

Round 2:

Aurelia leads with her chin and ramps up her offensive pressure, slowly chipping away XinLin’s guard. Aurelia manages to land a few swipes across XinLin’s cheeks, forcing her hand as XinLin makes use of her reach advantage to attack while maintaining a distance. Aurelia’s offense seems to have worked at shaking XinLin’s confidence as her defenses become sloppy. Still XinLin manages to take this round with a narrow lead in score.

Round 3:

After advice from her corner, XinLin forsakes her defense strategy and goes toe-to-toe with Aurelia. XinLin successfully corners Aurelia initially but could not keep her there. Aurelia slips out of the corner and collects herself before dazing XinLin with a jab and uppercut! The round turns into a high octane scrap as both refuse to go down before the other. Leather smacks echoes through the arena until the round ends with a draw.

Round 4:

Aurelia pounds her gloves as she meets XinLin in the center of the ring. Aurelia tries to take XinLin’s head off early but XinLin thwarts her attempts and counters her with a body hook to the liver and straight to the sternum, pushing the air out of her. Aurelia retreats but XinLin could not follow up with much meaningful offense, giving Aurelia the time to recover. Aurelia comes back and rocks XinLin with two swipes and pressures her into the corner. XinLin crunches up as she tries to block bodyblows from Aurelia before the bell calls for the end of the round.

Round 5:

Aurelia tries to keep XinLin at bay by moving out of her reach, occasionally eating some jabs given that defense isn’t her strongest play style. Aurelia lures XinLin into fully extending her arm before lunging in with a jab to the nose, body shot to the obliques and uppercut to the chin, sending XinLin into the ropes. Aurelia pins her to the ropes and repeatedly swipes left and right. After seven clean punches, XinLin collapses to the ground. She’s down! The ref counts to 10! It’s over!
