Pre-match:

Hayley stands in her corner wearing a gray sports bra and lime-green tights complete with white gloves. Across the ring, Kerstin shows up tonight with all-black sports bra and shorts, complete with black gloves.

Round 1:

Aware of Kerstin’s dirty techniques previously, Hayley stays cautious as she approaches Kerstin. The pair test their respective reaches and swat gloves. Hayley lunges in and surprises Kerstin with a couple of jabs and hooks but Kerstin manages to raise her guard just in time to avoid further damage. The bell calls for the end of the round and Hayley leads by a narrow margin.

Round 2:

Hayley keeps her guard tight as she approaches Kerstin, attacking only when there’s an opening. With no path to her target, Kerstin attempts to misdirect Hayley’s guard with a feint left jab aiming high - it works! Kerstin hits an uppercut to the belly, making Hayley feel as if she is going to spill out her lunch and dominates Hayley for the rest of the round! Hayley survives the round albeit barely, avoiding an embarrassing early KO.

Round 3:

Kerstin puts on the gas and tries to take Hayley out this round, but Hayley’s guard remains impeccable. Knowing Kerstin would try a feint jab again, Hayley strikes at the window of opportunity before going back to a guard. While Kerstin takes more attempts at striking, she is not able to make her hits count. In contrast, Hayley is calculative and precise. The round ends in Hayley’s advantage.

Round 4:

Hayley and Kerstin move to the center and begin exchanging punches. Having taken some clean hits in the previous round, Kerstin tries to contain her brashness and conserve her stamina. While it looks like the round would end with a draw, Kerstin manages to slip a nasty right cross beyond Hayley’s guard and puts her down for the count! Hayley gets up by 7 and the bell clangs, avoiding a certain TKO if the round were to run longer!

Round 5:

Getting knocked down late in the previous round means the effects will most likely spill into this round. Indeed, Hayley’s movement appears sloppier and Kerstin is ready to capitalize on it. Kerstin consistently traps Hayley in the ropes and corners, pummeling away. There is no attack plan from Hayley. Her only goal is to survive. Hayley bites through the pain, trying her best to reduce the damages by keeping her head tucked behind her gloves, her belly crunched up. Survive she did! Kerstin returns to her corner in frustration after failing to defeat Hayley this round.

Round 6:

The revitalized Hayley steps back into the battleground ready to engage her fierce opponent. Kerstin keeps the pressure on with a flurry of punches but Hayley keeps herself level-headed. And when Kerstin slips, Hayley lands a stiff uppercut that sends Kerstin to the canvas with a THUD! The ref counts as Kerstin tries to sit up, looking like she has just woken up from deep slumber. She gets up by the count of 8 but is still woozy from the blow. Face wide-open, Hayley lunges in and connects with a jab-jab-hook! Putting Kerstin back onto the canvas! The ref waves the match off! It’s over!
