Lili Reinhart vs. Daisy Ridley (Results: Lookout. Words: Wiz)

BEFORE:

Blonde brunette tilt features two talented bantams, both of whom have claimed some impressive scalps. And, both are confident another name is about to be added to her list. "Lili's good," Daisy admits with a smile. "But, she's not as good as other girls I've beaten...and nowhere NEAR as good as I am."

"Daisy is dangerous," says Lili. "She's long and has good power. But, it's going to come down to this. I'm better and I hit harder. And, that's a combination Daisy won't be able to overcome."

ROUND ONE:

British beauty has a little reach and she immediately begins to make use of it. She's working the jab, following with right hands, keeping Lili at bay. Blonde wants to get physical, because, you know, she's a PHYSICAL blonde, but Ridley controlling things very nicely with that long left poke. About half way through the round, the blonde backs off the throttle and begins boxing with. No surprise, she does so VERY very well. Because, Lili's proven she can play THIS little game, too, and, for the remainder of the stanza, she proves she can play it every bit as well as the British brunette can, giving as good as she gets in the frequent slick exchanges of punches. But, when the bell rings ending the stanza, Daisy's early work plays. She takes the round and the early 10-9 lead.

ROUND TWO:

Reinhart and Ridley boxing, until Lili begins dipping forward, slipping inside, and going body. All of a sudden, Ridley is on the defensive as Lili gets physical inside. The blonde is working over ribs and tummy, then going upstairs for hard shot to the head. Daisy out of her comfort zone and being backed up by short hooks and a few uppies from the blonde. Brunette ALL out of sorts before long, and she's spending way too much time covering up and trying to tie up as the blonde shoulders her back, goes right back to work. Late in the round Reinhart rings Ridley's bell with a short right hook, backs her into the ropes, and lands some solid combination. Daisy not really in trouble, but the British beauty's taking a thumping right to the bell. When it rings, it's Reinhart wide and we're even at 19.

ROUND THREE:

Reinhart pressuring and EATS A RIGHT HOOK FROM RIDLEY! Daisy a NASTY hook that WOBBLES the American and Ridley is ALL IN. British beauty driving Reinhart backward, pinning her to the cables, and making with the heavy leather. Lili in DEEP trouble, taking fire from everywhere as she works out of a tight earmuff, rolling with, blocking, jabbing here and there to make sure the referee doesn't take matters into his own hands. Daisy determined to finish this thing, firing away with everything she's got, but she can't seem to get Lili out of there. Instead, Reinhart rides the thing out, looking a little stronger in her counters late in the round. When the bell rings, there's no doubt about the cards. The brunette has won it and plenty wide, too, but Lili survives, even as she falls behind 29-28.

ROUND FOUR:

Ridley in control early. Brunette has the blonde in reverse from the opening bell, working the jab, dropping hard right hands in behind it. Lili either forced or content to give ground and play defense. Blonde countering here and there, not exactly getting run out of there, but she's definitely taking the worst of it as the brunette's got things working on all cylinders. Daisy just smooth as silk, jab, right hand. Jab, right hand. Jab, jab, right hand. Quick flurry. Then back to the jab. It's excellent stuff from the British fighter, and it keeps her in control of things right to the end of the stanza. Reinhart gets a little more done in the final minute, but it's still Daisy who's dominating the proceedings, and, once again, when the bell rings, there's no doubt about the cards. It's Ridley wide and up 39-37.

ROUND FIVE:

Reinhart's looking like having shake the damage now, and Ridley responds by backing the aggression down a couple of notches and getting back to boxing. American boxes with in the early portion of the round, again holding her own very well. Then, she begins slipping and dipping inside to work body. Daisy quickly ties up, getting a break, but Lili's right back at her and LOOSENS HER KNEES WITH A RIGHT HOOK! Ridley rumblin', stumblin', fumblin'...and DROPPED BY A STRAIGHT RIGHT HAND FROM THE BLONDE! Daisy flat on her back as Lili bounces to a neutral corner to watch the count. Ridley, eyes wide, can only stare up at the referee as the numbers get larger. A late attempt to sit up results only in the Brit collapsing back to the canvas. It's OVER! And your winner by KO5 is Lili Reinhart!

AFTER:

Lili plenty scuffed in the post-fight, but she's plenty happy as well. "Like I said," the blonde repeats with a smile, "Daisy is dangerous. But, I'm better and I hit harder. And, that was the difference. And, it was also just the beginning. Because, apparently some folks are forgetting all about Lili Reinhart around here. I mean, I know I'm in the same stable with Chloe Bennet, and she's maybe the best bantam on the planet. But, let me tell you, I'm a top shelf fighter, too. I've proven it over and over again. And, it's time for people to pay some attention."
