BBU Boxing @ F1 Dutch Grand Prix
Yasmin Verheijen vs Robin Holzken
(Lioness Club vs BBU Independent)
(12-9, 12 KO vs 4-1, 4 KO)
Results: BBU; Story: Vassago

Venue: Circuit Zandvoort, North Holland, The Netherlands

BEFORE: It's race day at Zandvoort but before Formula 1 cars roll out onto the track the partisan crowd will be treated with a special BBU boxing event starrting two exciting Dutch models Yasmin Verheijen and Robin Holzken. Both women agreed to lock horns in the unofficial Dutch lightweight supremacy fight to boost their profiles and Yasmin in particular hopes to bounce back from a tough loss to Brooks Nader last month. Meanwhile Holzken feels like she's been overlooked this summer and vows to kickstart her campaign that stalled in the proverbial gravel trap despite her beating another Dutch model Marloes Horst several months ago.

Your special guest referee is Doutzen Kroes while Sylvie Meis performs the introductions so there's an overflow of the Oranje talent around the place while everyone awaits for the green flag to see whether Max Verstappen claims another Grand Prix victory later today. The boxing ring has been set up at Tarzanbocht run-off area in front of the biggest grandstand on the race track.

Yasmin Verheijen wears a black bikini set & orange gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a custom ponytail. Robin Holzken wears a Red Bull-themed navy blue & silver bikini set & red gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a sleek ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.

Round 1:
Orange flares are fired in the stands and both girls start to throw some punches but they lack precision at first before Yasmin cracks a left hook on the nose to shake Robin off her comfort zone. The older brunette follows through with more vicious head shots and splits the fellow model's high guard but Robin refuses to back off and tries to find a slugging response in the middle if the ring. She bounces off Yasmin's forearms and eats another dangerous hook on the temple but eventually finds her range and matches her rival's intensity come the two-minute mark. Meanwhile Verheijen maintains the head-hunting pounce yet she's unable to back Holzken onto the ropes and has to accept the evenly matched execution that sits very well with the Zandvoort fans. Nothing to choose between these two brunettes at the bell however Sylvie Meis claims Yasmin landed the better punches overall.

Round 2:
Robin tries to make a better start this time and she drops several promising harpoons into Yasmin's body but eats an uppercut stinger and slumps to the side when the Lioness brunette gashes her with some jug shots in the phone booth. Robin has to adjust her stance but soaks up more hits over the top and cuts a defensive figure thereafter while Verheijen begins to roll out from both flanks. She finally pounds the younger brunette onto the ropes and shakes off the clinching attempt to smack more leather to Holzken's body during the second minute. Ugh! Robin slumps into more spasms all of the sudden and it's one-way traffic in the final minute with Verheijen punishing her rack again. Robin survives the attack and gives the older woman a lenghty stare that even makes referee Kroes giggle for a moment.

Round 3:
Yasmin thinks she can break the rusty-looking opponent but Robin moves much faster across the canvas early in the third and leaves the former Miss Netherlands slicing thin air before looping a proper power shot on the ear. Yasmin squeals in pain but tries to stay in the slugging lane which triggers a hectic leather exchange in the center of the ring. Yasmin lands one square on the younger brunette's jaw but pauses for the reaction that never comes... and Holzken smokes her with a wild hook on the ear that almost rolls down the curtains... Robin jumps into a high-octane blast on the spot and pounds the briefly stunned foe onto the ropes where she splits her mitts and rocks the head back & forth before an uppercut double sinks Verheijen on soft knees right at the bell.

Round 4:
More slugging action in the fourth as Yasmin tries to knock Robin's head off but only lands single punches on target while the younger model keeps working from the inside and she tags the chin often enough to force the Lioness fighter back come the one-minute mark. Some verbal insults follow which prompts referee Kroes to react and tell both fellow models to get on with it... and they do... Robin cracks a left hook on the brow ridge that gives Yasmin a nasty shiner in short order but also gets belted on the rack with more slugs in the phone booth. A quick clash of heads does no good to Yasmin's swelling and she gets outboxed in the flat come the final minute as Holzken traps her on the ropes and bangs away to bend her into noticeable spasms at the bell.

Round 5:
Robin starts to dominate the action as she's much faster to the punch and outworks the former lightweight title challenger to the point Yasmin gets verbally upset again. But this time Holzken lets the gloves do all the talking and she tears another small gash under the left eye before a looping overhand tags the ear and wobbles Verheijen forward to meet a vicious uppercut square on the jaw... DOWN SHE GOES!!!! More flares go off in the stands as the older brunette hits the deck flat on her back and she also banged her head off the boards in the process. Doutzen Kroes issues a quick count without even telling Robin to head into her corner but Yasmin is too proud to simply go away like that. She gets up at seven and shoves the blonde referee off which even gets Sylvie Meis excited over in the starter's box. However any late Lioness comeback stalls upon another overhand double that Holzken drops on the money and she moves in to pound the otherwise vulnerable foe onto the ropes. She cripples Yasmin in half but runs out of time to finish her off and has to be pulled back by Doutzen at the bell with the older brunette staring down at her feet for lack of better ideas.

Round 6:
Yasmin is slow to get up for the sixth and breaths very heavily while Robin fakes a low approach... and catches most fans off guard by actually going through on the breadbasket to duck underneath a wide heave from the desperate Lioness. Yasmin gets that one all wrong and half-spins to the side upon impact while Robin smacks a piledriver on the nose to LAY HER OUT for the second time moments later. Uh-oh!!! That's one for the highlight reel as Yasmin ends up spread eagle with her eyes closed and Doutzen Kroes waves off the count at five. Cue in more loud noise from the Tarzanbocht stands! KO6 Robin Holzken!!!

AFTER: Sylvie Meis enters the ring to hand a special trophy to the winner while the track marshals take care of Yasmin's damaged pride. She makes it back onto her feet after a good minute or so and waves back to the fans but avoids making eye contact with the woman who just knocked her out. Robin takes over the mic and thanks Red Bull for sponsoring her today's bikini attire which will be available to buy online next week already. Some fans would probably like to know what are her imminient plans but it's time for the main event - the F1 Grand Prix - so let's head over to David & Jenson in the Sky Race Control.

Official Result: Robin Holzken def. Yasmin Verheijen KO6.
