Intro:
We kick off tonights action here in Arizona's Gila River Arena with one of the newest nasty rivalries, Katherine McNamara and Camila have seen quite a bit of each other over the past six months, last year in October Katherine would defeat Camila in a JMD bout by knocking her out in five rounds, Camila evened the score under traditional rules by knockout in six, who will take the lead in a rivalry that feels like it could go on a long while yet?

Before the contest both women were interviewed backstage by the FCBA Network interviewer Layla Anna-Lee, first up was Katherine wearing a white vest, blue denim jeans and black boots, the normally chipper redhead looking serious as she shakes the hand of Layla.

"It feels like I can't really get away from Camila, I guess she couldn't accept I beat her ass under JMD rules that she is trying to ruin my chances at getting a title shot around here, we all can't be handed title shots because our stablemates are better then us you know, fact she beat me the last time has me even more annoyed" Katherine says, at the last part she shuts her eyes and tilts her head back annoyed.

"But it's a new year and I am ready to cut Camila out my life forcefully, she can stay laying down on the canvas while I go get my title shot and my title, I've had enough of looking at the elite from the outside, now it's time I take my chances" adds McNamara, nodding to Layla that she is done, then heading off to her locker room.

Camila meanwhile is wearing a black tank top with blue denim jeans and black heels, hands on her hips as she stares at the camera, barely acknowledging Layla is even with her, telling the camera "I am sick of the lack of respect I get, I earned my title and yet I hear whiny little bytches complaining, none of you stepped up to fight Olivia, I f**king did and I f**king beat her" taking a breath to cool off a little, eyes full of fire as she certainly has a few people in her sights it seems with that speech.

Then she changes the subject to her opponent, pointing at the camera with her right index finger, she says "and to you Katherine, this rivalry goes on till you understand I am better then you, a fluke JMD win doesn't make you better then me, tonight I remind you why I was a champion and you choke every time you see the finish line bytch" storming off past Layla, who looks stunned as she turns to watch Camila march off to her locker room.

Fighting time, out first comes Katherine with her coach Ana Beatriz Barros following, Katherine acknowledges the crowd support for her by raising her arms in the air at the top of the aisle, on the walk down though she looks deep in thought, Ana rubbing her shoulders as they go, she steps through the ropes into the ring wearing a glittery red sports bra, matching trunks, red shoes and gloves, hair tied into a braid as she bounces on her toes in her corner.

Here comes Kelly Carlson leading her protégé Camila out onto the stage, Camila taps her cheeks with her gloves as she walks down the aisle, wearing a black sports bra with white trim, black trunks with a rose motif on the left leg, black boots, red gloves, her hair is also braid, she steps into the ring giving Katherine a quick scowl before preying in her corner, then turning back to her rival looking ready to take her head off.

The referee brings them together at the center of the ring, insults being traded as they go nose to nose, the tension between them clear as day to see, referee gets between them before it boils over, no touch of gloves as they turn back to their corners, once everything is set the bell rings to start 10 rounds of flyweight action.

Round 1:
Out come the fighters, knowing each other well there isn't much of a feeling out process, with Katherine early on drilling in double jabs and one-two combos, looking to keep the fight at range, Camila finding openings to duck under a punch then swarm Katherine on the inside with body shots, making the fight a brawl till she can be pushed back to range.

After a hard fought opening minute, things settle down a little when Katherine sidesteps Camila to her left side, smacking her with a counter right across her face, she knocks back the smaller fighter with straight shots into her face, Mendes needing to tighten her guard up as she is being forced to box off her back foot, something she doesn't enjoy.

A few punches start to catch Katherine across her breasts as Camila is trying to knock her out her stride, Katherine though pushing that mentally aside to whack in a left hook across Camila's face, a straight from the redhead knocks back Camila's head back as the crowd roars.

Late in the round Mendes ducks under a left cross, banging in two short right hooks to the body, followed by an overhand left that doesn't land flush, it does allow her to get away from the ropes, it gets sloppy in the final moments as both come in trying to land a big hook, instead locking up trying to drive their opponent back, at the bell the referee struggles to break the warring pain apart, once they are there's a little shoving before they cool off enough to return to their corners, fans yelling their support for their fighters after an energetic opener.

Round 2:
It becomes clear early on that Katherine is going to try to keep this fight on the outside, starting strong as she peppers the cheeks of Camila, moving more to the left side of the Latin fighter to keep her on guard, Camila hissing when she is getting hit, slamming in her own punches where she sees openings to strike.

An opening soon comes as Mendes feints with a jab, ducking under the straight coming her way to use her shoulder to ram Katherine to the ropes, where she bangs in several short rights into the abs of the redhead, making her hiss now as she is being roughed up by the smaller fighter.

Who gives Camila a shove, moving away from the ropes, Katherine is still landing some beautiful shots but is starting to get caught more by the hassling Camila, with a straight landing under the chin of McNamara as she misses with a right cross, she finds herself pushed back onto her heels again.

Final thirty seconds of the round sees Katherine driven into a neutral corner, where her body and this time breasts become the target of Camila, again they end up clinched up in the dying moments of the round, shoving apart at the bell with a few choice words for their opponent.

Round 3:
The tempo of the fight doesn't seem to be going down anytime soon, Katherine still working on landing the crisper shots at range, Camila proving a headache for her by slipping inside to work away, bashing at Katherine's body to take the spring out of her legs.

Pushing back Mendes, McNamara soon sidesteps her to the left again as the brunette swings in a right hook to the body that just misses, instead a left hook catches Camila square into her face, a right cross then turns her head as Katherine starts to lay in more leather.

Back around the outside part of the ring goes Camila, she is having to cover up as Katherine is walking down her, slinging in more hooks now as she looks to hurt her bitter enemy, sneaking in a few punches to the chest of Camila to make her bark out in pain.

But Katherine let's her right dip a little too much, a left hook catches her later on in the round, with a straight following onto her lips, Camila roars back as they fight to the ring center, going toe to toe as the crowd is on its feet, at the bell they just about hold back, turning on their heels to their corners with intense looks on their marked up faces.

Round 4:
Again same rhythm of McNamara using her sniper like jab to knock back her rivals head, it isn't long though before Camila slips around it to land an overhand right to the ear of Katherine, followed by a crisp left hook right on the chin of the redhead to make her stumble two steps to the side.

Here comes Camila as she drives back Katherine to the ropes, mixing up her punches as Katherine looks buzzed, holding onto Mendes to slow her down, insults go flying from both women as they wrestle along the ropes, referee getting in between them as they slip between the top and middle ropes with their upper bodies.

Resuming with Katherine boxing more defensively, it isn't long till an overhand left catches her again on the chin, Katherine being driven back into the Odds & Ends corner, where Kelly is yelling for her fighter to break McNamara in half, again Katherine needing to hold on as she is looking in trouble.

Fighting off the back foot, Katherine is trying to keep Camila off her, when the bell rings there's a strong case this was a 10-8 round for Mendes, who storms back to her corner to get a drink, Katherine shaking her head as she returns to her own corner, trying to clear the cobwebs.

Round 5:
Confidence is definitely on Camila's side as she is moving her upper body more, slamming in some cruel hooks to the ribs and across the face of her foe, who can't seem to shake off the brunette, Katherine mostly landing single punches now as she can't really open up.

Another overhand left catches Katherine flush, opening her up to an uppercut that wobbles her onto the ropes, arguably the ropes just held her up as her guard goes down, RIGHT HOOK ON THE MONEY SENDS MCNAMARA DOWN TO HER RIGHT SIDE WITH SWEAT FLYING OFF HER!

Camila heads to the neutral corner thumping her chest with her right glove yelling "she is done!" To get her fans jumping for joy, 1...2...3....4... Katherine rolls to her front groaning out in pain, 5...6...7.. Not much else coming from Katherine as Ana bangs the ring apron to get her to stand, 8...9...10 but McNamara is out!

Winner Camila Mendes KO Round 5

After:
Camila taking the lead in this feud marches over to Katherine, placing her right foot on the back of the beaten fighter as she flexes her arms, yelling "don't ever disrespect me! You will suffer the same fate!" Directed clearly at her rivals, she heads back to her corner once she feels her point has been made.

Ana isn't happy as she glares at her before kneeling to check on her fighter, slowly turning her to her back and removing her gumshield, Ana sees Katherine groan as the youngster holds her jaw with her right glove, Ana helping take the gloves off her fighter.

The winner meanwhile high fives Kelly when she returns to her stool, enjoying getting a cool drink after another hard fought win over Katherine, Camila telling Kelly "I've got her now, she knows she can't touch me in this ring" making Kelly smile seeing the confidence Mendes has.

Once Katherine can stand she is helped out of the ring, her head down as again she can't seem to buy a win against one of the top contenders under traditional rules, though as she lifts her head back up to say "I'll f**k her up next time" it's clear she isn't done with Camila yet, the hatred between them growing fight after fight.

In the ring the winner gets her right hand raised, staring hard into the camera as she does, she then grabs her gloves and steps out the ring with Kelly, tonight was clearly about making a point to Katherine and the other title contenders that they can't look down their noses at her, she is made for the elite.
