Round 1:

Aware of Georgina’s reputation as a hard hitter, Germaine approaches with her guard up. Even with her guard up, Georgina’s blows rattles Germaine. Germaine sees small windows of opportunity but isn’t comfortable taking the shot, given a single blow to the head by Georgina may spell trouble. The round ends up with Georgina leading wide.

Round 2:

With some coaching from her corner, Germaine enters the second round with more confidence. Germaine baits Georgina and she bites. Germaine side steps and nails a body hook into Georgina’s obliques. Georgina shrugs off the blow and continues her attack. This time, Germaine manages to land a few punches right on the face. The hardbody remains unfazed, continuing on her war path. For what Germaine lacks in terms of strength, she makes up for it with agility. The round ends with Germaine scoring more punches than Georgina and the former takes the lead.

Round 3:

Germaine goes in hot with the confidence from last round but ends up taking two clean shots to the head! Germaine quickly recovers and retreat while Georgina chases her down. Germaine puts up a strong defense and avoids getting trapped in the ropes or corners. Despite a bad start, Germaine manages edges out slightly, taking the round by a narrow margin!

Round 4:

Georgina comes out swinging and lands a strong right cross into Germaine’s cheeks early in the round. Germaine stumbles past her opponent straight into the ropes but quickly spins around and raises her guard! Georgina mercilessly pounds away as Germaine tries her best to survive the onslaught! Germaine slips away and pulls back, making Georgina chase her. The round ends and Georgina appears gassed after dishing it all out on Germaine. Germaine’s tenacity is not what she expected!

Round 5:

Germaine approaches slowly as she analyzes Georgina’s conditions. Georgina fires a sluggish jab and a cross but Germaine ducks it with ease. It appears her strategy to tire Georgina out with cat-and-mouse games has worked! Germaine strikes back but refrains from overcommitting on her offense, fearing a strong counterpunch by Georgina would spell the end for her. Germaine moves in-and-out, laying the groundwork for the knockout blow. The bell rings and Georgina returns to her corner frustrated.

Round 6:

Germaine goes in hot, laying Georgina with all she has left, hoping to knock her out. However, Georgina manages to slip in a strong counter punch that sends her spinning! The tide has turned! Georgina manages to follow up with a few clean shots but Germaine quickly recovers and fights back! The two trade punches evenly through the rest of the round but Georgina takes the round by a narrow margin!

Round 7:

Both ladies glow with sweat after their last round, but still determined to win. Gloves immediately fly as they meet in the center of the ring. Germaine winces and tilts as Georgina strikes her belly. Germaine pulls back into the rope and Georgina closes in for the finisher but NO! Germaine performs a rope-a-dope, letting Georgina strike air as she regains her composure! Germaine slips off the rope and catches Georgina with a swipe to the cheek! Georgina chases the retreating Germaine but exposes herself to three more quick jabs that puts her on the canvas! DOWN! The ref counts to 10! It’s over!

Official Decision: Germaine Tan defeats Georgina Poh by KO7!

Post-match: Germaine is spent but still manages to let out a faint smile. Beating Georgina is no simple task and the fans are excited about what she has to offer next!
