BEFORE:

"It's about TIME someone gives me a shot up here," says Kylie with a shake of the head. "I'm better than half these girls RIGHT NOW and I haven't even had an FCBA fight yet."

"She's undeniably talented," says Kara with a nod. "And, she can win FCBA fights if she gets opportunities. But, she's not winning TONIGHT."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Good As Hell' by Lizzo, a song you might remember from the first episode of 'Big Sky', and here comes one of the stars of that series, the lovely Kylie Bunbury!"

Cassie: "And, lots of girls express surprise about never having gotten a shot in the FCBA, but this one actually IS surprising. This girl is athletic and has plenty of tools..."

McCarthy: "Typical Dancing Hooker Opponent. NO FCBA wins!"

O'Dell: "Kylie wasting no time getting into the ring. She's helped off with the robe to reveal a white number and a body that's clearly trained hard for this one. And, that's 'Flawless' by The Ones you hear hammering through the arena, and here comes Kara 'The Body' Del Toro!"

Tess: "Kara has had a pair of very good years at Front Street, but, this is the year she's expected to take a step forward, so she doesn't want to stumble tonight..."

O'Dell: "Kara into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve. Crowd popping for 'The Body' in that neon green number we've seen before..."

McCarthy: "This place my EXPLODE when I get up there..."

O'Dell (sighing): "Aaaannndddd, the ladies are about ready. Time for some picks. Tess likes Kara. Mac?"

McCarthy: "NO FCBA wins! Del Toro!"

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "Third straight unanimous panel and Bunbury out to make all the ladies look bad early. Kylie very athletic, and she's movin' and groovin' right now, snapping that jab in Kara's face, following on with hard right hands, then moving, resetting, and doing it all over again."

Cassie: "This is great stuff from Kylie. No feeling out. She's clearly ready for this one."

O'Dell: "No doubt about it. Bunbury with a good combination there. Forces Kara to cover up. Del Toro takes another nice flurry, lands a right hand in response, but, no question Kylie got the better of things. Just watching this girl move, Mac, and watching the hands, you wonder why she's never had a shot up here before..."

McCarthy: "LOTS of talented fighters in the world and only so many opportunities in the FCBA, that's why..."

Tess: "OR, it could be the fact that women pushing FIFTY are still taking up some of those valuable opportunities."

McCarthy: "SHUT. UP. WALMART!"

O'Dell: "Drink up, boys, as we head down the stretch in the first. Another nice combination by Bunbury there. She's the one fighting lead here, moving laterally, forward and back, showing a ton of quickness with both feet and hands and there's the bell. Not close in the first. Kylie takes the 10-9 lead."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second begins with a little more aggression from Kara. She's stepping to now, not simply allowing Bunbury to fight at range. Kylie giving some ground, trying to get the distance she wants. Kara coming forward behind that left jab, trying to bring her power to bear..."

Tess: "All going to come down to who gets more of what she wants."

O'Dell: "Sure is, and right now, both girls having SOME success getting their terms, but not a lot of it. Result is a good, two-way round, with both fighters getting some work done and nobody able to take control of this thing. SHARP exchange right there and both brunettes landed a hard right hand..."

Cassie: "Kara finding the range with that right hand now."

O'Dell: "Definitely is. She's landed a couple of good ones. Meanwhile, Bunbury still moving well, getting punches put together, giving as good as she's getting despite the fact that Del Toro's getting rolling. And, there's the bell. Very, very close in the second, but the points go to Kara."

McCarthy: "And, we're even at 19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Third begins with Kara working forward again. Bunbury using lateral motion, quick hands to slow that down, keep her distance. Kylie scoring well on the outside, using that length and quickness. Kara moving the head, working that jab, locating with the left then firing off the right."

McCarthy: "Bunbury really moving well."

O'Dell: "No doubt about it. She's definitely got a skill set, one we may well see in the FCBA again. Good quick flurry from Kylie there. Kara fires back, lands a nice right hand. Del Toro forward behind that jab and SHE DROPS BUNBURY WITH A BOOMING STRAIGHT RIGHT HAND!"

Cassie (singing): "Turn out the liiiiggghhhhttsss. The party's ohhhhverrrrrr...."

O'Dell: "Del Toro bouncing to a neutral corner. Bunbury down on her right side parallel to the ropes. Count at three. Four. Five. This is going to be a formality. Six. Seven. Eight. No movement from Bunbury. Nine. TEN! It's OVER! And your winner by KO3 in thunderclap fashion is Kara 'The Body' Del Toro!"

Tess: "And, there was nothing lucky about THAT."

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Kara Del Toro, and, Kara, that was SOME right hand..."

Kara (smiling): "Well, I've got as much power as anyone in the stable. If I catch you clean with one like I caught her, well. Cassie's going to be singing."

Tess: "Management's been talking about the fact that it's a big year for third-year fighters like you. This was a pretty good start..."

Kara (nodding): "But, it's JUST a start. I'm going to be plenty busy this year and I'm hunting some big game in 2022."
