DOVE CAMERON VS LUCY HALE

Results: Lookout Writing: Archer

Dove: 26 YO. 5’2 (1.57 m), 14-14-0, 14 KO since 2015, Hawkeye International Sports Consortium
Lucy: 32 YO, 5’2 (1.57 m), 36-37-0, 35 KO since 2010, Pretty Little Punchers

Before: Dove Cameron has blossomed under HISC management. After struggling for years, once she signed with veteran stable she has won 10 of 11 fights.

“My only loss was to Brec Bassinger, I plan on rectifying eventually,” says Dove before the fight, “but right now I want to take out one of the PLP’s prize flyweights: Lucy Hale. I am ready to do that now so the Punchers are on notice—I will mow down all of your flyweights.”

“Right,” says Lucy Hale with a dismissive scoff, “and don’t forget Dani Campbell kicked your butt back in 2015.”

“Oh, I haven’t forgotten,” Dove said, “she’s on my list too.”

“Make all the lists you want,” said Lucy in the same scoffing tone, “but you aren’t that good. I admit you had a good 2021, but the win streak stops with me.”

“You know, it’s going to be a pleasure to knock the stuffing out of the big ego of yours, Dove retorted.

“I’m the one with the big ego? You better look in the mirror, Dove, because you have an even bigger one,” sniped back Lucy.

“Ha!” fires back Dove. “You won’t have an ego left when I get done with you.”

“You smart mouth punk—you are going to finish this fight sucking canvas with my foot on your butt!” Lucy snarled her face flushing red.

“We’ll just see about that one,” smirked Dove. “See you in the ring.”

“You definitely will!” Lucy said ominously glaring at the blonde, who gave her an air kiss before strutting off the stage.

When they met again in the ring Lucy was wearing a black bikini across the seat of which was a yellow v-shaped lightening design that flanked HALESTORM also in gold. Lucy was wearing black boots and gloves with yellow laces. Her bobbed hair was loose, but wetted down. Dove was in a dark blue bikini with pink straps. Her boots and gloves were pink with dark blue laces. Her blode hair was pulled back in a battle braid.

The two fighters faced off with the referee trying to keep order. It was not easy as Dove kept crowding up to Lucy until the referee gave her a stern lecture. Dove gave a twisted smirk, but quieted down and the ring instructions were finally covered. The glove “tap” became a loud SMACK as Dove and Lucy rammed their mitts together before going to their corners. All of this had the crowd excited and it burst in loud cheers as the bell finally rang DING! DING!

R1: Lucy and Dove moved out at a good speed to reach the center of the ring. Lucy immediately drove a right jab into Dove’s lips and then swiped her chin with a clipping left. Dove was sent back on her heels, but then tried to come back at Lucy only get Hale hooks slammed into her belly. Dove doubled up forward with a gurgle and Lucy bounced some brain rattling shots off Dove’s head. Dove fell back rapidly and through up a defensive barrage of jabs when Lucy sought to pursue. Lucy circling, stabbing out quick blows from odd angles to keep Dove off balance, though Dove was peppering Lucy with jabs. Lucy slowly backing Dove towards the ropes, but couldn’t quite get her there before the bell ring. First round ended in a wide in for Lucy Hale.

R2: Dove and Lucy again out at a good speed, but this time it is Dove getting in the first punches as she smacks Lucy hard with the ol’ one-two to the chin. Lucy swings back hard with big right, but Dove turns and blocks it with her shoulder. Then Dove goes deep to Lucy’s belly with a big right hook followed by an equally big left hook. Lucy stutter-stepping backwards tilted forward and trying to suck in air. Dove adds more hooks to Lucy’s midsection, but then Lucy cracks a right to Dove’s jaw. Dove lurches to one side, but quickly turns back to clash with Lucy. Intense exchange of rights and lefts to the heads sends both fighters stumbling back groggy. However Dove seems to shake it off first and goes at Lucy with shots to the breasts and rib cage. Lucy takes several of these before answering back to Dove’s body. Two are whacking away at each other’s body to the bell. Round is close, but it ends up going to Dove Cameron.

R3: Out they come again and Dove at first goes to Lucy’s midsection with hooks. Lucy replying in kind, but then Dove strikes at Lucy’s jaw. Big, crashing right and follow up left send Lucy reeling on trembling legs. Dove closes in as Lucy struggles to push the blonde back with the jab. Dove fights her way through and clouts Lucy again with a right to the jaw. Lucy sent sprawling into the ropes. Dove pins Lucy to the ropes as Lucy can only protect her head while Dove works her body. Dove lashing away to Lucy’s shuddering body until the bell sounds. Lucy looks shell shocked as she peels herself off the ropes. Big smirk on Dove Cameron’s face as she wins this one wide.

R4: Dove must have liked all that body punching she did to Lucy in the last round, because she gets in close in this this new round. Lucy getting hit hard to abs, ribs and breasts, but now Lucy is fighting back hard. Lucy smiting gets a little something extra into her body blows. Dove starts to feel the impacts as the blows hit her in the belly, ribs and breasts. Dove’s attack falters and she finally pulls back to regroup. Lucy seeking to maintain the pressure moves after the blonde., Dove rallies with fresh body hooks, but then Lucy stuns her with a solid right to the chin, Dove again in retreat as the round ends. Still, judges thought it was close, but this time it is Lucy Hale who is awarded the round.

R5: Lucy on the attack as the round begins. She is going after Dove to the head, with steady blows off Dove’s chin, jaw and the sides of her head. Dove wilting under this bar falls back with her gloves up around her head. Lucy wastes no time in pounding away at Dove’ belly, slamming in hooks right above the waistband of her bikini bottoms. Dove doubling up as she gasps for air and her high guard loosens. Lucy smashes home right/left uppercuts to the chin AND DOVE CAMERON TOPPLES ONTO HER BACKSIDE! Lucy heads for the neutral corner as Dove lies sprawled on her back, arms out flung and knees bent upward. Referee moves in and starts counting, Dove rolls to one side, slowly pushes herself up and then rises to just beat the count at “NINE!” Fight resumes, but Dove just covering up and trying to make it to the bell. Lucy dancing around the battered Dove, firing away steadily, but none of these punches able to fiish the job. Bell sounds and now it is a shell shocked Dove Cameron walking unsteadilyto her corner as Lucy books a knockdown and wins round wide.

R6: Lucy resumes attack by going for Dove’s head early, but Dove is proving more elusive this round. Good upper body movement making her head a more difficult target for Lucy. Lucy keeps trying, but then Dove strikes back to Lucy’s chin with banging uppercuts. Lucy suddenly stumbling back, as Dove surges forward landing more head shots. Lucy’s head getting banged from side to side until she is able to get her mitts up to block Dove;s incoming. Dove shifts to a body attack, but so does Lucy. Two are pounding each other hard to the midsection with ringsiders hearing the sounds of leather connecting with sweat covered flesh. Hard punching to the bell leaves both fighters panting hard after the bell. It is close one more, but Lucy’s earlier head work seems to have won her a narrow victory this round.

R7: Out they come again with another exchange of punches to chin, jaw and cheekbones. Lucy and Dove swinging freely, taking plenty of hits, but dishing out more in return. Crowd on its feet in excitement as they sense this can’t last for long, but it rages for the first half of the round. Then it happens: Dove Cameron hits Lucy Hale with FOUR successive right/left uppercuts to the chin as Lucy’s head bobs helpless up and down. Then Dove brings her right HARD into Lucy’s jaw, Lucy’s head swivels in a spray of sweat AND LUCY CRASHES ONTO HER SIDE! Dove makes her way to the neutral corner. Referee standing over the fallen Lucy who rolls onto her stomach and tries to push herself up, but as she tries to rise, her arms give out and she falls back face-down onto the canvas. Lucy fans groan I dismay, but wild cheers from Dove supports.

“EIGHT!...NINE!...TEN!...YOU’RE OUT!”

THE WINNER: DOVE CAMERON DEFEATS LUCY HALE KO7!

After: Dove had been leaning wearily against the ropes of the neutral corner, but as she hears the magic words: “YOU’RE OUT!” She leaps in a adrenal surge of victory! Lucy races to the the fallen Lucy, rudely pushes the referee aside and plants her foot on Lucy’s bottom, then raises her arms in a victory pose.

“I TOLD YOU SHE’D END UP SUCKING CANVAS WITH MY FOOT ON HER BUTT!” Dove heard to shout over the bedlam of the crowd.

Referee ,not amused by the stunting, drags Dove off Lucy and orders her to her corner. Dove goes but she’s back as soon as Lucy can be revived in the Puncher corner. Dove takes the groggy Lucy on a triumphant Walk of Shame as her HISC stablemates celebrate (and the Punchers look daggers at them).

“Great night for myself and the HISC. We have erased the memory of Mish’s loss to that punk Bassinger. I plan on dealing with her in a good time, but tonight we celebrate! The ‘Halestorm’ has fizzled out!”

Lucy Hale seething in the aftermath of the fight: “It’s bad enough to lose a fight to that insufferable twerp—but to have her rub it in like that! Typical of HISC! I cant stand those people and payback is coming!”

Nothing like post fight grudges to excite the fans, but who knows what will happen next between the PLP an HISC. As for this fight, one has to call it another great win for the suddenly dangerous Dove Cameron. HISC plainly agrees with the young blonde. She’s working her way steadily into contention and the coming year promises more good things to come. For Lucy Hale, this was a disappointing setback and outs her two fights under .500, but Lucy has come back from adversity before and her fans are hopeful this will happen as the year unfolds.
