VIX/LIONESS STABLE WAR 2022

2. Eden Cohen vs Joy Corrigan

Eden:

BEFORE:
Bad start to this stable war for the VIX corner, who surely thought the first fight would have gone their way. Instead, (spoilers) Bantamweight title challenger got KO’ed in under five rounds by the debuting Lottie Moss. Whether that says more about Alyssa’s shortcomings or Lottie’s potential as a challenger to the title one day is still debatable.

One thing’s for sure, however: Eden Cohen ain’t planning on making that same mistake. The newest member to the VIX stable is proud to call this her very first stable war as well, as she sets her sights on evening the score against the Lioness’ Joy Corrigan.

“I’m not going to underestimate her. Not like how Alyssa did with Lottie,” Eden says with a nod during the earlier press conference. “Joy’s had some wins recently, but mostly losses. One of those in particular caught my eye: I refuse to lose to anyone who’s lost to Alexis in the past.”

Joy is not too happy to have her boxing record under scrutiny, rolling her eyes and pursing her lips as Eden speaks. When it’s her turn, the American blonde isn’t mincing her words:

“Eden’s in for a world of hurt if she thinks I’m a pushover. I may have lost to Alexis, but I’m sure she punches harder than Eden thinks she can. I’m looking forward to schooling her in the ring,” Corrigan says with a smug smile of her own.

Ladies meet in the center of the stage and bang gloves roughly into each other, as though testing the other girl’s strength early. Their mutual scowls never leave their faces, however, as they refuse to take their eyes off each other until they’ve safely backed away.

Hours later, Eden enters the arena first, smiling and waving at the welcoming cheers. She’s wearing a simple black leather bikini and red gloves, a long white shawl draped over her shoulders before being removed once in the ring. Joy comes into the auditorium in a red bikini of her own, her blonde hair bundled into a neat ponytail out back. She raises white gloves to the crowd before strutting down the aisle.

Referee calls this second match in this stable war to order and there’s more than pride on the line as both ladies get into their fighting stances across the ring. HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Lightweight action!

ROUND 1:
First minute and already we have a wild CLASH on our hands: tall models just stride in and let their fists FLY at each other’s heads! Eden and Joy throw hooks and combos straight in to kick things off, with Eden first landing a crunching hook to the chin before Joy returns with one of her own to shock her head to the side. Corrigan’s slightly bulkier frame means she’s putting more power behind each attack, and Eden’s more lean and toned and taller figure is reminiscent of a stick figure getting tossed about in the wind. Joy scores another big hook across the arms to throw Eden wide off. The Vixen goes stumbling to the side with her mouth open in shock before COLLAPSING down to her knees, having lost her balance! An embarrassing showing for the Israeli girl indeed as she finds herself sputtering on all fours, wondering what the hell just happened as the stadium erupts in cheers for Corrigan! This might be an early showing for the Lioness corner if the VIX girls are going down this quickly! Joy flashes a smirk of contempt before circling back to the neutral corner with one hand raised high. The Massachusetts native is looking hella good right now and looking to not just surge ahead in this stable war, but also extend her winning streak after back-to-back victories over Rachel Barnes and Kim Cloutier. For now, Eden pushes herself back up and steadies those long legs of hers by the count of 7. There’s renewed fire in her eyes as she shakes off that stunned expression and barks at the referee to get the f*ck outta her way. Let’s see where the rest of this fight takes us, no?

ROUND 2:
Eden looks more focused now with her attacks and movements, dodging some early jabs from Corrigan before responding with one-two combos straight to the blonde’s face. Joy wincing early, getting her nose and lips stung with leathered shots to face, a couple more straight numbers drilled into her body to hold her back. Eden’s reach advantage is coming into play here as she stays at a comfortable distance and fires away, and all Joy manages to squeeze in in return are a couple of hooks pounded off the arms and tummy before the round ends in Cohen’s favour. It’s not much, especially when compared to the first round, but at least Cohen shows she can hold her ground.

ROUND 3:
Joy going for broke early, perhaps eager to make a statement to end this fight in record time. She surprises Eden with an early overhand right to the middle of her arms, burying more punches into her taut stomach to drive the Israeli model back to her corner. Eden gets caught by the surprise blitz attack, protecting her head from abuse but leaving the rest of her body hella exposed. Joy catches her with a hard thump to the belly button before rocking an uppercut into her chest to make her squeal and shriek. Eden has no choice but to try and clinch up, but even then, she’s on the receiving end of the pin with her back against the ropes and Corrigan breathing hard on her neck, using the rest of her hands to batter down Eden’s abdomen. Cohen almost bent over at the end of this round, with a lasting uppercut drilled deep into her stomach to drive the air from her body, and Corrigan giving the Vixen a little smooch on the forehead before strutting back to her corner.

ROUND 4:
And Eden’s seeing red! Or specifically, some of that pinkish glitter on Corrigan’s lips when she stuns the blonde with an early hook across the mouth and chin! Corrigan was coming forward as confident as ever only to miss Cohen’s head by a longshot and then EAT then counter-hook to her face! AND HERE COMES COHEN with fire in her eyes, battering down the hatches as hook after hook sails in to bash Joy Corrigan backwards and silly! The Lioness is desperately covering up but with little runway to escape, her back hits the ropes and she’s subsequently BENT OVER from a vengeful uppercut drilled to the body, Eden snarling as she takes her frustrations out on this blonde opponent of hers! Cohen traps her foe on the ropes, resisting efforts by Corrigan to clinch up with an elbow shoved into her chest and neck, free hand batting and pounding away on her chest and tummy. Joy finally manages to force the embrace after a third such swipe of leather across her abs, and both women finally take a breather in each other’s arms, breathing heavily on the shoulder and still trying to score points off the sides and flanks. Bell rings to end the fourth and Corrigan is the one who takes a parting shot off Eden’s chest, which draws a squealing from the Vixen, who lunges back at her but is quickly stopped by the fast-moving referee. Bad blood is certainly growing between these two, and not just because of this stable war!

ROUND 5:
Joy’s drawing cheers from the Lioness corner as she scores off Eden’s face over and over again, with Cohen losing her cool and trying to rush her down to finish this fight. Not happening, at least for now, as Joy picks Eden off from a distance and sinks those jabs into her cheek and lips, drawing grunts as Eden gets stopped in her tracks after every couple of paces forward. Eden finally resets in the second minute, equally pawing at Joy’s guard from afar, but it’s a little too late. Corrigan shows off her willingness to adapt here as the two women trade leather to the face for the remainder of the round. Cohen’s temper gets the better of her even here as she almost exclusively tries to pay Corrigan back with shots towards her chest, but this leaves her open to counterattack, as the American blonde crunches another stiff straight hand to the chin to close this round.

ROUND 6:
It looks like we’re heading into the second half of this fight, and that’s ONE more round that Cohen has survived thus far compared to her unfortunate compatriot! Alyssa Lynch still sore and shaking her head backstage as she watches the 2nd fight unfold on the television screens: Eden and Joy circling with their hands up, chins partially down. No-one wants to make the next unforced error here and Eden’s doing a particularly better job at keeping her head down behind cover, absorbing most of Joy’s early attack combos with her arms, and even protecting that toned tummy of hers with a fluid guard. Joy’s the aggressor in the first minute but quickly finds the tables being turned when Eden lands the first countershock to her nose, another and another stiff right hand driven straight in and over her guard. Corrigan, shocked by her foe’s superior speed and power, gets her head knocked back by yet another overhand swing to the forehead, which staggers her slightly. Cohen being methodical for once, slowly stalking in and bashing her gloves in where they really count: a left hand to the side tummy, another right hook across the chest, before an uppercut CUTS through the noise and STUNS the blonde clean on her chin!! AND THERE SHE GOES!! Corrigan’s reeling backwards with her eyes squeezed shut! Cohen MARCHES in and takes her head off with one hell of a right hook, which sends the sultry blonde DOWN to the canvas with a loud THUD!! Could this be it?!?

Corrigan left groaning on her back, head tilted sideways as she wonders what hit her. Meanwhile, Cohen’s still spitting insults down into her face, giving her a sly kick to the ribs on her way back to the neutral corner to celebrate. Cohen’s not in any much better shape of course, if Corrigan decides to get back up and finish her off - the girls are both at a knockdown apiece, and with four more rounds on the clock, there’s no telling how this fight might go. But Corrigan looks spent on her knees, slowly having turned over and trying her best to get back up. She’s breathing hard as she hangs onto the middle rope to aid her recovery, but the referee’s count is rising too damn fast for her liking! That’s it!! He hits the count of 10 and waves his arms overhead! It’s OVER!

Official Decision: Eden Cohen defeats Joy Corrigan via KO6!

AFTER:
Commotion in the immediate aftermath as Cohen decides to drive home the point she’s superior, immediately striding over to Corrigan still kneeling by the ropes and attempting to pull her up to her feet by her long, luscious hair.

Perhaps it’s the sudden pain shooting through her scalp or the sunken feeling of defeat, but Corrigan immediately fights back, ploughing punches into Cohen’s body in turn and sending the two women tumbling down to the canvas.

Immediately, both the VIX and Lioness corners erupt from their seats, intending to assist their comrades, but each side is quickly stopped by an army of ring officials blocking the way.

Meanwhile, back in the ring, Cohen has gained the upper hand, using Corrigan’s disorientation and recent knockdown to straddle the blonde and plant a stiff right hand into her nostrils to stun her further. Cohen immobilises her foe with a hand firmly gripped in the top of her hair, right hand delivering more slaps across the mouth before snarling down into her reddened face.

“Who punches harder now, b*tch? HUH?!” Eden shouts down into the blonde’s face, before plunging her bare fist down into her chest for payback.

Joy on the receiving end of all this abuse, groans and shakes her head but is effectively immobilised as her breasts get hammered from above, each of Eden’s fists leaving a crater in both the fabric and flesh.

Finally, the ring officials have enough manpower to spare, following the directions of Claudia Schiffer to “get their arses in there” and save her girl from more abuse. They do as instructed, pulling an enraged Cohen off her blonde foe and herding her back to her corner to cool off, while the medical team descends upon Corrigan to check whether anything other than her pride has been damaged.

For now, Eden Cohen evens the scoreboards for this stable war, taking home the Vixen’s first victory of the evening!
