"I'm definitely a fan of Kristen's work, she's a good actress, and she’s funny. I actually just watched her new Netflix show and it was pretty awesome. She's also a 3 time champion, so that’s pretty cool. Can she beat me? ehh...HIGHLY doubt it,” Maddie Ziegler chuckles from the press table. “She’s still very fit for her age, but…..I'm younger, bigger, faster and stronger than her. My goal is to finish her off in 4 rounds or less. I wish her good luck in there, though.”

Big words from a fighter with big potential, as Maddie Ziegler makes her debut performance in official pay-per-view action tonight. She’s going up against one hell of a legend, however, with Kristen Bell having been around long enough to know how these pre-fight conferences go.

“I’ve seen my fair share of cocky girls come and go,” Kristen says next with a smile. “These girls are all hot air and hot-tempers before one of them gets knocked the f*ck out. And then, we never hear from them ever again. Ziegler’s got some guts for challenging a three-time Flyweight champion. Let’s just say things don’t bode well for rookies who don’t know any better.”

Things that ARE going for Maddie’s odds in this fight tonight, however: her four-inch height advantage and significant muscle and bulk even as the two blondes face off at the podium later on. Maddie’s dancing background means her bigger frame is toned and packed with power, but to be honest, Kristen doesn’t look too intimidated, having kept herself fit and regularly visiting the gym in the lead up to this fight.

Hours later, it’s Maddie who makes her second ever appearance first, breaking through the curtains and striking a pose for the cheering fans with her hands on her hips. The blonde then begins bouncing up and down in place and doing some shadow boxing, smirking as she begins making her way to the ring . The 19 year old is wearing a light green sports bra for a top and pink short tights for bottoms, white gloves, hair in a tight ponytail.
Kristen Bell is next to enters later looking ready for a fight as well, wearing an amber-coloured sports bra and long black tights, her hair in a bun as she raises her black gloves to acknowledge the fans on her way to the ring.

Minutes later and both ladies are ready, bouncing up and then in their corners and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Flyweight action! The referee waves his hand for the opening bell!

ROUND 1:
Maddie wants to make an impression on her first PPV appearance, and beating a veteran, and doing it fast, will certainly cause the Dollhouse bosses to sit up and take notice. Early aggression from the newcomer as she wades into Kristen’s space, bringing out the big guns with left-and-right combos sent straight into the arms. Maddie also shows off her speed as she runs circles around Bell, alternating punches into every crevice she can spot. Bell ain’t doing too well, by contrast, hiding her face behind her arms and only peeking out once in a while to throw a big hook towards the youngster. But Maddie simply dances away with her excellent footwork, at one point even taunting the older veteran with both her arms swinging side-by-side and shaking her chin forward for Bell to have an easier target to hit, if she can. You know what they say: pride comes before the fall. But for now, Ziegler takes the first round wide in an excellent showcase of skill and potential.

ROUND 2:
Kristen is waking up a little here, trading practised jabs with the youngster each time Ziegler attempts to close distance. First minute and Maddie has a little more trouble getting in close and landing her punches, at least not without taking a right hand to the lips and another hook off her toned tummy. This is what Bell does best, ladies and gents: break down her opponent’s strategy and then pick her apart bit by bit. It’s a little harder to do with a complete blank slate like Ziegler, but also easier to predict a newbie’s patterns when they stick to them early. Ziegler takes another stiff punch to the face right before her overhand swing misses clean overhead, and Bell looks to capitalise with more counter-attacks right before the young dancer can build up her own momentum. But Maddie’s moving smart, hanging back in the second half after realising her strategy ain’t gonna work no longer. She instead relies on her huge reach advantage to plant leather all over Bell’s frame, going high to the head but really scoring off her tummy in turn. Bell rings and Bell’s done enough to edge out her young counterpart, but not by much, we think.

ROUND 3:
So far, this fight is shaping up to be an epic showdown between both fighters who represent both sides of the aisle. Maddie takes it slow and wise now, not intent on rushing in and in some weird way, respecting Kristen’s experience and what the older actress can do to her if she played it too foolhardy. Bell’s also at a significant disadvantage at this range, her jab combos barely hitting anything but air as Maddie easily side-swerves or leaps back to defend her space, the dancer then circling back around to plant her own leather into the side or forehead. Another dazzling one-two combo to the body sees Bell grunting and slightly stunned in the middle of the ring. She’s then powerless to stop more punches from landing as Ziegler picks her head off from a safe distance, Maddie just side-stepping left and right, then pounding away on her nose and lips from multiple angles. Bell lets out another grunt as her head gets thrown back from a big right cross to the nose! AND HERE MADDIE COMES, throwing caution to the wind and going all-out on the veteran! Bell’s doing her best to survive but it’s an impossible task to get clear of Ziegler’s attacks, which are growing in both number and power! A low, double hook to the body folds Bell over with a grunt before a textbook swing to the chin SPINS the veteran blonde down to the canvas!!

It’s a KNOCKDOWN for Maddie Ziegler, who pumps her hands in the air and lets out a ROAR to meet the crowd’s! Bad news for Miss Bell, who’s left floundering on her knees and looking desperately for the ropes in the corner in order to save herself. An early third round knockdown is NOT what the former Flyweight champ was expecting, and Ziegler acknowledges her opponent’s drive to fight, the latest Dollhouse prospect watching intently as Bell pushes herself back up by the count of 8. Still, the American actress looks shaken with her back stretched out on the ropes, barely nodding to the referee that she intends to continue. Now that she’s experienced Ziegler’s power firsthand, who can really blame her?

Bell rings and it looks like there’s still two minutes left on the clock! Here comes Maddie yet again, her arms up and making a beeline for Miss Bell on the ropes! Kristen barely manages to brace for impact as Ziegler’s first right hook sails right in and BLASTS her across the arms with a loud Unghh!!, almost throwing the blonde’s head clear over the top ropes! Kristen’s melting away in the face of more and more power-punches landing all over her frame, with Maddie crowding close to pin her to the ropes with hook after hook after devastating hook, mixed in with large uppercuts drilled into her stomach and arms. Another ringin’ shot to the base of her chin sends Bell into LALA land - the older blonde simply SLUMPS into the ropes, both hands trying to hold on for dear life on instinct, but the referee has SEEN ENOUGH - LEAPS in to save the former champ from even more abuse! It’s OVER via flash TKO!!

Official Decision: Maddie Ziegler defeats Kristen Bell via TKO3!

After:
Oh my! Ziegler annihilates the former champion in 3 rounds! Maddie RUTHLESS in there as she delivers a pummeling to the overwhelmed older blonde that forces the referee to step in and the young blonde with a cocky smirk on her face when she’s pushed off her prey, strutting back to her corner with one arm casually raised, barely breaking a sweat here tonight and achieving her goal of ending the fight in 4 rounds or less!

Kristen a groggy mess as the referee helps her make it back to her corner before handing her over to her team for some much needed medical care. Maddie is then called to the center of the ring, where her hand is raised to officially declare her the winner tonight, the young star posing proudly with her chin held high, one hand on her hip and the other raised, her patented smirk on her face as she lets her cheering fans take a good look at that perfect body of hers for a long minute, basking in their adoration.

Another impressive showing and victory for the new Dollhouse star tonight - Maddie remains consistent through her 3 fights so far, with 3 more left on her developmental contract with the Dollhouse and the question on everybody’s mind is who’s next on her hit-list. Guess we’ll have to wait and see!
