BEFORE: Winter season is just around the corner and this is perfect timing for Jutta Leerdam to make her BBU boxing debut. The Dutch speed skater enjoys the support of millions of fans on social media and might be the most popular athlete domestically not named Max Verstappen. BBU travels to the Heerenveen ice rink which Leerdam calls home to battle against another powerful blonde in Ivona Dadic. The deal is set up for Leerdam to fight Katarina Johnson-Thompson later this year and most pundits are raving about her prospects despite her boxing skills clouded in mystery so far. She vows to make quick work of the Austrian heptathlon speciallist tonight but Ivona is ready to spoil the Oranje party and the betting odds are much closer than anticipated.

Round 1:
Ivona sets the early jabbing tone and lands several quick shots up the middle while the Dutch rookie is slow to make her move and relies on her footwork to avoid the fellow blonde's attacks. She does a good job with it until Dadic lands a crisp right hand on the nose which triggers a proper slugging exchange in the center of the ring. Ivona takes a couple of hits on the mouth but stays on course to slam more leather into the speed skater's face and Jutta blinks first deking out of the range shortly afterwards. Ivona pounces on her efforts and tries to clobber the younger blonde onto the ropes but struggles with her connection and only lands few single punches on target for remainder of the round.

Round 2:
Jutta finds the early success thumping Ivona to the body and this is one tactical move the Austrian didn't really expect. She gets stuffed in the center of the ring and has to clinch Leerdam once she soaks up too many of these quick shots. Jutta shoves her onto the ropes and prevents the referee from getting involved, she keeps working on the downstairs route thereafter and has Dadic gasping for air in the second minute. Woof. The stubborn body attack neutralizes the Austrian blonde wholesale and the local fans get even louder when Jutta bends her foe sideways with another piercing harpoon on the liver area. More clinching follows and Ivona barks in anger at the bell after a poor round overall.

Round 3:
Ivona tries to find the slugging groove again but Jutta's footwork remains supreme so the initial attack goes nowhere before a looping hook catches the Austrian on the nose as well. Jutta aims high at first but quickly reverts to the gut-checking success and slowly backs Dadic onto the ropes again. The older blonde is unable to stretch her elbows in the proverbial phone booth and leaks more punches with Jutta working the piston-like delivery to keep her wrapped in trouble for remainder of the round. The slow start is history by this stage and Leerdam flicks a couple of rare uppercuts on the chin to leave Ivona shaking her head at the bell again.

Round 4:
Jutta keeps blowing these body shots from close range and Ivona just can't stop them as she's boxed into another earmuff hole much to the crowd's delight. She tries to swing from behind the guard and catch the younger blonde with a classic one-timer but Leerdam escapes the danger each time and lands more shots in response instead. She backs Dadic onto the ropes and delivers more gut-checking menace to drop the Austrian woman into louder spasms and there isn't much coming from her whatsoever as all these Dutch punches drain a surplus of energy. Even pro athletes look worn out when they face such a relentless force and Jutta keeps dissecting Ivona's otherwise impressive abs to leave visible marks as we head into the final minute. More clinching on display and Dadic looks relieved more than anything else to hear the bell.

Round 5:
Finally a good series from Ivona who knocks Jutta's head back and prevents her from closing down the fighting stance. Both women exchange more head shots in the center of the ring and Dadic gets the better of the local favorite crashing into her lips in repeated fashion down the stretch. Jutta keeps her cool and lets Ivona spray more leather around but the precision isn't as good as before and leaves the Austrian woman slicing thin air in the second minute. Another mobility test from Leerdam who spins away from the action alas the crowd doesn't like it much as Dadic clearly enjoys a much-needed breather and even threatens a haymaker approach in the closing seconds even though she's won the round on points to stop the proverbial bleeding.

Round 6:
No such luck for Ivona early in the sixth as she eats a left hook over the top and fails to lock the high guard with Jutta lacing her from both flanks before a booming right hand catches her on the nose as well. Knees buckle and Ivona wobbles forward into a desperate clinching attempt only to find a vicious uppercut crashing into her jaw a split second later. DOWN GOES DADIC!!! Big money shot from the glamorous speed skater who sends the heptathlon woman down on her backside in the center of the ring! Ivona tries to shake off the daze amid a loud roar from the Heerenveen audience and she beats the count at seven but Jutta jumps into immediate clean-up mission and pounds the ailing foe back to the ropes again. She goes all-in and smacks the high guard aside to connect with several clean shot into the fellow blonde's face and Ivona simply can't take it anymore as she SLIDES DOWN ON HER BACKSIDE in the middle of a furious Oranje run! And this time she stays down for the count rolling to her left side with eyes closed!!! KO6 Jutta Leerdam!!!

AFTER: Impressive debut for the multiple world champion and Olympic silver medallist who wastes no time to shoot a live video for the social media. Those three million followers need to be taken care of after all! And there's immediate challenge issued as Jutta wants to double down on the heptathlon opposition and calls out Katarina Johnson-Thompson for her second boxing try. Even BBU TV's Kate Abdo hopes the British athlete isn't nursing another injury here because that fight could sell some tickets alright! Watch this space...
