BEFORE: The big shock news in the lead-up to the LCA anniversary card was Tess Valmore putting Sandra Kubicka on her Top 10 watch list the other day. It's one thing to be aiming for Boxing World Online Top 30 but when the Nashville outlet singles you out like that then it's truly go time for the otherwise unheralded Miami-based model. Sandra has booked an extra fight for the FCBA PPV later this month already and finds herself in the spotlight over fellow Lioness model Joy Corrigan with both of them set to elbow their way past JMDD-bound Kelly Rohrbach or the slumping Odette Yustman in the foreseeable future.

All that Tractorpull Magazine noise actually makes Sandra's opponent Dua Lipa extremely angry: "There ya frickin' go! All it takes is some DUMB blonde model putting on a skimpy bikini and the journalists lose their fookin' mind! Guess I'll have to derail that hype once and for all and Sandra's elite career will have to be postponed if not erased from the system!" (giggles).

Sandra Kubicka wears a black bikini set & red gloves. Long dyed blonde hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Dua Lipa wears a purple crop top, matching hip-huggers & black gloves. Long dark brown hair loose & straight. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.

Round 1:
Sandra carries a great deal of energy into the opening round and outworks the singer plain & simple. She delivers a strong jabbing assault and knocks the brunette's back while Dua tries to match the tactics but struggles with execution. She bounces off the model's forearms too often and gets picked off with heavy single slaps up the middle. Sandra keeps working the head-hunting route and glues Lipa to the spot before blasting her on the exposed midsection for a good measure. Dua abandons any comeback plans during the last minute and dances around in shear avoidance while Kubicka tries to add bonus value but misses with most of the punches.

Round 2:
Dua finds a quick response over the top and holds her own during another close range tangle. Both women give each other no quarter before the brunette bursts through with a vicious double on each temple and drives the model onto the ropes with some erratic but otherwise successful head shots. Sandra almost loses her footing and has to embrace several nasty strikes into her chest as Dua rips a one-dimensional rally that catches the blonde where it leaves her exposed. Kubicka struggles to escape the jam and has to clinch the younger woman but only eats more leather as Dua still nicks in a few body shots on target.

Round 3:
Sandra gets back to her jabbing rhythm and manages to keep Dua in mid-range discomfort where she scores methodical shots during the opening minute. Dua prefers to weather the storm before showing more guile but she's unable to throw the model off her stride and reverts back to some quick footwork to maybe lure Kubicka into a genuine trap. The Polish model doesn't fall for that and keeps landing those single punches from afar as she controls the action in the center of the ring and makes Dua bark in anger at the bell.

Rounds 4 & 5:
Hectic slugging rush from Dua who catches the blonde off guard and rips into her mouth with a booming double before drilling the exposed midsection as well. Sandra wobbles to her heels and has to embrace another body assault as Dua has truly flipped a switch here and works the high-octane blast to punish the blonde's midriff. Those models are supposed to be vulnerable down there, right? Lipa makes sure that unofficial rule is in effect as she hammers more shots to leave visible marks on the Pole's abs. Sandra remains subdued during the ordeal and relies on some blatant clinching to limit the damage however Dua picks up where she left off in the fourth and carries more drilling menace in the fifth. She also catches the model with a stray shoulder in the face and almost shoves her through the ropes down the stretch. Sandra complains to the referee about some low blows once Dua locks her in the corner but to no avail and the singer continues to clean out the abs until she's finally stopped by the bell.

Round 6:
Dua gets a little careless as Sandra isn't quite spend physically and matches the singer's slugging approach before blasting her on the nose with the biggest punch of the exchange. Lipa wobbles to her heels and cannot swing back at the model which allows Kubicka to crash some easy shots straight into her face instead. One of those hooks tears a small gash under the left eye and sends the British woman into a speedy retreat which makes the Girls Friday entourage very vocal in their corner. Meanwhile Sandra continues to hassle the younger foe and nails her with more quick shots up the middle which drops Lipa butt-in-ropes again. She tries to add more juice thumping the desperate high-guard but the singer hangs on to limit the damage.

Round 7:
Sandra hope top break the brunette's resilience in the seventh and powers ahead to cut Dua up below the left eye early in the going, she carries more head shots on target and forces the Brit back however only when Lipa actually trips over her feet the Polish model can fly in with the nasty stuff. She smacks Dua from each side and bulldozes her onto the ropes where she overwhelms her with an uppercut series that catches plenty of the singer's cleavage. Dua slumps into loud spasms and just cannot clinch herself into safety as Kubicka SMOKES her with a right hook on the jaw to DROP THE SINGER FOR THE COUNT!!! Uh-oh!! The Lioness camp explodes with but alas it's too early to celebrate since Dua rises from the dead and beats the count at eight! She barks in anger and gives the blonde a lenghty stare before the action resumes in back & forth fashion. Sandra tries to finish this off but somehow gets pounded on her boobs and wobbles forward into Dua's desired clinch that runs out the clock.

Round 8:
Dua shocks the hosts when she smashes a vicious double into the blonde's face and drops a hard right into the navel that leaves Sandra bumping off the singer's shoulder in the process. Sandra refuses to back off and pushes off her heels only for Dua to swing a left hook on the nose and batter with an uppercut rally on the chest. Ugh! The Polish model stumbles onto the ropes and yells in anger since Dua shows no signs of knockdown side-effects as she slams a left/right combo on each temple before a massive left hook nails Kubicka on the ear and DROPS HER DOWN ON HER BACK in almost slo-motion fashion!!! Disaster for the Lionesses as Sandra gets dragged by gravity and rolls to her side staring down at the canvas with a hollow look in her eyes. No way! No how! She cannot beat the count and falls on her back with Dua giving Claudia Schiffer a bytch stare of the week! KO8 Dua Lipa in come-from-behind fashion!!!

AFTER: This loss might sting the Lionesses the most! The Tractorpull Magazine Top 10 watch list could well be altered based on this result and one might wonder if Sandra ever comes this close again! She had Dua down on the floor and somehow couldn't close the deal! Always Be Closing and all that jazz. Claudia Schiffer tries to console the sobbing model who can't quite believe how she lost this fight while Dua enjoys a warm hug with coach Taryn Terrell. There wasn't much success for the guest fighters during this PPV so far - none to be exact - but Dua Lipa makes sure the Lioness Club will not complete an anniversary whitewash after all.
