BEFORE: "I thought Jennifer outworked Grace," Strahovski says of Park/Carpenter. "They both fought great, but Jen was more determined and fresher at the end. I saw her effort and knew I had to have her for stiff rounds going into Taylor Cole. She reminds me of a younger, more durable Angie Harmon, and that's good company." Carpenter acknowledging her role as tune-up, but determined to turn it into something more. "Yvonne's a top-of-the-foodchain blonde," Jen admits at podium. "You don't say no to that. As for my chances - Mary Winstead's done very well swarming Yvonne in the past, and I know I've got similar ability, so yeah: I've got a legit shot here. Yvonne is very, very good, but the question is: am I good ENOUGH? I think the answer is going to be 'HELL yes!'" Strahovski in metallic green bikini; yellow gloves; hair loose. Jen in midnight blue satin finish bikini; white gloves; hair loose.

During R1,2: Yvonne working behind the jab, exploring Jen's facial defences, legging around her classy. Carpenter chugging away in pursuit - rigid, ratchetting punches - both hands busy - trying to get-to and scour her blonde. Straho's legs clearly superior, giving her tactical advantage in every engagement: she controls scrappy early minutes for points.

R3: Similar work from Yvonne - coupled with crunching body shots: Jennifer's wincing. Vicious, whippy, snap-action lefts and rights deployed by Straho - mitts bouncing tasty off fat-free waist and ribs as Jenny's covering up.

R4: Straho back to chopping at Jen's slender waist: Carpenter stands her ground, issues rangy right/left uppercuts in chugging tandem: BLONDE GIRL DOWN! Straho chin-and-face checked multiple times in quick succession: she's on all fours before she even knows what's happened. Role-reversal: Yvonne's hurt coming off the 8 count, taking to her heels: Jenny scoot-stepping after - doubling up jabs, hounding Vonny to ropes. Strahovski digging in at apron, showing earmuff, defending pockets: she's braced about the head/shoulders/flanks as Jen issues slender-limbed lather. Yvonne pasted, but composed - picking Jenny up the odd tuff uppercut out of the earmuff - just enough to prevent brunette jailbreak. Bell: Jen C upbeat - she knows she can get to Yvonne now.

R5: Yvonne hard-eyed, stitching one-twos up the middle in forward aspect: Jenny accepts terms, answers back in kind. Straho really pounding-face, but Carpenter bravely facing in, takes what she must and scours back - rangy licks eventually cuffing and scuffing pretty blonde features in kind. Half way through, torrid exchange of heartfelt head punches sees Jen buckle Yvonne's knees: former champ falls in to clinch, hurt. Ropes: Yvonne forming sullen earmuff, legs braced in wide A frame...Jennifer lays siege with a lathering barrage of lefts and rights. Carpenter having her way, numbing Yvonne via whirling, palm-down lefts and rights to blonde arms, or in behind blonde elbows. Bell: Straho blinking, cranky, looking more than a little ass-kicked through 5.

R6: Jennifer and Yvonne square away, shoulder to shoulder, each girl pumping hup-hup in turns. No clinching - just a gentle clockwise rotation as the girls douse each other with sheeting-action body punching. Stalemate broken late as Yvonne FINALLY forces Carpenter back under a walking barrage of rights and lefts bounced tight to tummy. Jen's back hits ropes: she covers up earmuff - gritting her teeth as Straho pours it on thick to bell.

R7: Terms are different now: Yvonne's hardnosed sixth paves the way for a commanding 7th. Carpenter dukes at temples, wary, reluctant to be reckless: Yvonne able to circle clockwise outside, pop the jab head-and-body; look for shafting straight right hands down into Jen's lean midriff. Blonde girl leggy, extending on shots - really punishing Carpenter as Jen turns, soaks on the spot.

R8: Straho systematic, humming along like a sleek blonde machine: Jennifer huddled up in earmuff, encircled, punished. Yvonne stepping clockwise around the jab - pounding at Jen's defences - then leaning in to rip right/left to waist - checking the waist again if there's no reaction, then chopping a right to chin as soon as Jen shows signs of answering. Carpenter knocked about, busted up, but keeping herself together: it's a beating, but it's not a rout as blonde girl imposes will, but can't break Jennifer's in the bargain.

R9: GORGEOUS right uppercut parts Jen's mitts, knocks her head back so she's facing ceiling, buckles her legs...it's the punch of the fight. Strahovski loving the shot - rotating right while jabbing Jen to turn her: Yvonne clearly noting Carpenter's devastation. Jen brave - scraping together reserves to mount a whirling counterattack through second minute: Yvonne rides it out, eventually spinning off ropes to retake initiative with her legs. Down the stretch - tattooing combination punching up top has Jennifer rattled when Yvonne lashes a vicious sidearm buggywhip right to brunette ribs. Cry of agony Jen C - face pinching as her elbows drop to her cringing body. Bell prevents STraho from pouncing on crippled prey - but doesn't prevent Yvonne's searing eye contact on the strut-past. 10-8 Straho without the knockdown: Carpenter's corner tells her she needs a KO to win this thing.

R10: Jen hobbled, but gutty: she engages Yvonne toe-to-toe, clanging away all rigid left uppercuts/rangy right hands/whirling palm-down hooks. Strahovski lowering her head to chug away right/left to body, intent on chopping thin Jennifer in two, but Carpenter refusing to buckle: Straho's face paying a steep price as Jen's there with scraping uppercuts. Down the stretch, Straho legs out - giving away the last minute to take this thing to the cards. Comes back competitive UD10 Yvonne Strahovski.

After: "Exactly what I expected," scuffed up Yvonne gushes in postfight. "Very tough, resolute fighter - made me work for everything I took from her tonight. A little more work in her body and I might have stopped her, but there's no breaking her spirit. Hat's off to her: I feel primed and ready for Taylor, and Cole's going to pay the price!"
