Before: Pressly the current star of the future, taking on one of the former as Wuhrer categorically refuses to accept Pressly's status. High risk fight for Jaime as Kari a well-traveled brunette with plenty of hard-earned credentials. Fought at the Hollywood Hard Rock, underwritten by Maxim Magazine, who devotes 10 pages to coverage of the bout between two of its mainstays. Pressly in black sportsbra, silver bikini bottoms, Wuhrer in black sportsbra, red high cut aerobics bottoms. Ponytails for both.

During R1: Pressly with that loose, stalking style, hands held at her stomach, steps into one of those snapping, whip action right hands to open the round by hurting Kari. Wuhrer staggered by the temple shot, leans in and tastes Pressly's power as Jaime works supple punches up and down her opponent's body. Jaime keeping her hands in tight to her body after punching, recocks and snaps at Kari's sides or head with short, sniping lefts and rights.

R2: Wuhrer came to fight, and she shows it by once again getting close to Pressly, bending at the waist and concentrating on banging the midsection of the slender blonde. By the final minute, Kari's work has Jaime covering up, leaning in, and Wuhrer has carte blanche to pound away with lefts and rights to the waistline at the bell.

R3: Vicious back and forth exchanges as the girls take turns lavishing punishment on one another. First Pressly works over the huddled up brunette with sweeping wide lefts and rights, then Wuhrer goes to town, fighting inside Pressly's arms to pound away at the chest and tummy. Down the stretch, Pressly fighting well going backwards, clips Wuhrer with open-palm left uppercuts, and walks her into that stinging, slinging right hand on the jaw. Both girls punching after the bell as the action gets personal.

R4: Kari fully committed to fighting inside, gets the early advantage, but Pressly able to step out, drop that right foot back and SMASH that right hand home as Kari comes forward. Wuhrer ROCKED, is open mouthed and glassy eyed as Pressly turns, lashing right hands across the offered jaw to drive Kari to the ropes. Just as it looks as though Wuhrer must be beaten, Kari begins to counter inside the wide right with clipping left hooks AND JAIME IS HURT! Pressly goes limp, leaning against Wuhrer, and Kari cinches up underneath the arm, bodies Pressly into the ropes, and smashes away at the blonde's ribs and stomach with wide lefts and rights to the bell. Jaime is dreamy eyed and hurting at the break as Kari, cut over the left eye raises her mitts in triumph.

R5: Jaime Pressly's legs are shot, and she stands flat footed, lifting the jab off her hip as Wuhrer bobs and weaves inside, fighting off Jaime's chest, the brunette smiles as she pounds away, feeling Pressly's weakness, and Kari pours it on, plunging her fists into the taut belly beneath until a gurgling Jaime P. takes a knee. Pressly looking groggy, beats the count, sags to the ropes, and takes a beating as Kari bodies up, uses her head and shoulder to push and prop, while snapping off short strokes to the body at the bell.

R6: Punch rate takes its toll as Wuhrer visibly slows this round. Still shaky Pressly able to step around her opponent, lifting a tired looking left jab off the hip, but still able to twist her lithe body into right hands with some zip. By the final minute, Jaime has reestablished that wide right hand, whipping the punch onto Kari's jaw and ear with punishing regularity. Both girls slack jawed and rubbery legged at the bell.

R7: Pressly able to keep Wuhrer off with just a range-finder left, and midway through the round, the wide right hands are smashing through. Jaime simply measuring Kari, stepping into those snapping rights, and bending forward on follow through as Wuhrer soaks it up. By the final minute, Jaime has Kari up against the ropes, folded at the waist, and the blonde opens up. Gouging lefts to the liver, sweeping rights across the lower back put Kari on her hands and knees with seconds left in the round as Jaime blows an errant strand of hair out of her face with an exhausted expression.

R8: Jaime getting her legs back as Kari hasn't been able to sustain her body attack. Pressly walking Kari down, stepping to either side, and bending into those whip action right hands. Wuhrer takes, then steps back, eating jabs as she goes. Pressly with full court coverage beats Wuhrer from bell to bell, and pounds Kari's left eye shut this round.

R9: Another punishing shutout for Pressly as she stalks, steps into right hands and watches heartlessly as Kari crumbles. Wuhrer on her heels, reels around the ring, covering up and getting battered as Jaime lashes her body and head with lanky limbed power. Brutal action late in the round as Kari, seated on the ropes takes a vicious series of clubbing right hands to her stomach - Jaime just punching, reloading, and punching to the bell.

R10: Girl wade out flat footed to greet one another, and go shoulder to shoulder to open. Wuhrer winning the battle of left hooks early, beats Jaime into a defensive position, then takes the initiative. By the midway point, Kari's left hooks are beating in Pressly's right side, and Jaime is screaming behind her bit as Wuhrer has found a niche. Down the stretch it's all Kari as she POUNDS left hooks against Jaime's trembling body, and in the final seconds, the insistent punishment behind the elbow puts Jaime on all fours. Pressly beats the count and sits on the ropes as Wuhrer wades mindlessly in and beats her waistline with swinging lefts and rights to the bell and beyond. Decision comes back a narrow majority for Jaime P, who can't get off her stool to accept the victory.

After: Wuhrer shattered by the loss, but losing 4 of the last 5 rounds simply too much to overcome. Pressly beaten to within a heartbeat of a stoppage as her body finally gave way in the tenth - classic bitter ingénue battle shows Jaime's got some grit.
