PPV Review

The PPV continued with ten additional fights. It was a great night for Front Street as the Wiz once again impressed with his match making capabilities

MICHALKA/ FONSECA We have no idea who these two are. Apparently they are both on that CW network, that about seven people watch. Of course we have no idea, if this was at bantam or at light. It was an OK fight. Michalka dominated the first half of the fight as Fonseca didn’t get on the scorecards until the sixth. She also took the seventh but in the eighth Michalka decked Fonseca. In the end Michalka got a wide decision taking seven out of ten rounds

GLAU/ CAMPBELL Front Streets first fight of the night. We have to admit we are not fans of Glau but we are of Campbell. The first half of this fight had us worried. After Campbell won the first round, Glau reeled off four straight and had a big lead going into the sixth. In that round, Campbell started to get her act together. She floored Glau and then took three of the remaining four to get the decision. The fight was very close, but the knockdown got Campbell the win. The Wiz is popping a PBR

ARTERTON/ PREJEAN This the second of the Front Street fights on the night. You really couldn’t call this a fight. It only lasted about 41/2 minutes. Arterton simple devastated Prejean with an attack to her rack and body and Prejean went down for the count, Quite frankly, it looks to us like Prejean has no business in the ring. We suspect the Wiz was popping another PBR after this fight

TORV/ KLUM The third Front Street fight. Klum seems to have an exaggerated sense of mediocrity when she compared herself to Theron. It actuality, she hasn’t won a fight since 2001 and is a cream puff while Torv has won four out of five this year. We expected Klum would be counted out before the end of two. She lasted until the middle of the fourth. Torv’s body attack crippled Klum in the third and then put her down in the fourth. The Wiz is opening another PBR and calling for his butler to remove the accumulated cans from the floor

CHAUBERT/ SIMPSON This fight went about as expected. Simpson did take the first round. In the second, Chaubert started her rack attack, and continued it into the third, however, it was right, deep into Simpson’ stomach that did her in. Chaubert was able to muscle over to the ropes where she worked the challenger over and then went back to the rack until the referee stepped in and stopped the fight We will not comment on the post fight since we do not approve of post fight humiliations

SCHERZINGER/ ELECTRA The fourth Front Street fight of the night. Scherzinger who has had her problems took on Electra who is way over the hill. Electra decked Scherzinger in the first but didn’t hurt her much. Both fouled at the end of the second and Scherzinger fouled again in the third. The rest of the fight was pretty much all Scherzinger, who managed to foul again in the sixth. Electra hurt Scherzinger in the beginning of the seventh but Scherzinger came back and a right cross put Electra down for the count. The Wiz is probably calling for a bottle of Scotch and pondering how much trouble Scherzinger is going to be now that she has beat someone. We agree with Park. A win over Electra is no longer impressive

FISHEL/ MACK Two Hall of Famers have retired and are trying to comeback. Neither have been impressive so far but Fishel less so than Theron. Fishel really needed this fight She didn’t get it. It was a good fight The two swapped the first two rounds. Mack then took the third and fourth. Fishel came on in the fifth to floor Mack and then followed up taking the sixth. The sixth was Fishel last gasp. Mack dominated the fight in the late rounds and pounded Fishel into oblivion in the tenth to get a KO win

WAGNER/ BREWSTER Does Wagner really believe that Cucuo wouldn’t be favored over Brewster? What is that poor girl smoking? Probably trying to build up her coming victory or at least look better if she lost. At it turned out it wasn’t much of a fight. Brewster did manage to put Wagner down in the seventh but Wagner took nine of the ten rounds and the decision

BJORLIN/ REGAN For the second time in this long PPV a multi-time champion is punched out by a fighter that had only won two bouts. This was a fairly one sided bout. Bjorlin did have her moments in the fourth and ninth rounds but the fight really belonged to Regan who dropped Bjorlin in the third, had a 10-8 round in the fourth and finished Bjorlin with a short right uppercut at the beginning of the tenth. We had Regan winning six rounds going into the tenth

MacADAMS/ PRESSLY We have an unusual situation here with a best of three for a title. We cannot recall such a series before. It was a good fight marred by controversy over the referee who seemed to be anti-Foxfire. Pressly took the first round but MacAdams took the second and third in which she was either interfered with or scolded. Pressly got a little illegal in the fourth when she floored MacAdams but Beckinsale had nothing to say about that. It happened again in the fifth when Beckinsale again ignored a swipe to the back. At the end of the fifth, MacAdams’ corner told her the only way she was going to win the fight was to KO Pressly and that is just what Mac did. Beckinsale should have stopped the fight but made MacAdams heap on the punishment until Pressly went out. MacAdams is one fight away from the title. She will have to do it with Beckinsale as the ref. That will not be easy
