BOXING AFTER DARK

Posted by Simguy on 7/27/2005, 7:09 am.

Before: Both girls turned back by Cat Bell, both eager as a result to separate from each other with a rebound win--BLONDE! Magazine ecstatic about the match up. “it’s an exquisite pairing,” gushes one contributing editor. “both girls have worked so hard, both are so tall and striking--it’s all-blonde boxing at it’s very best. We’re hard pressed to pick a favourite. Molly reminds us of a young Cindy Crawford--has that conventional look, maybe has a harder right hand than Trish, might have the more educated jab, but Tricia’s unorthodox and hard to gauge in those departments, Helfer’s like an offensive-minded Liz Hurley--very sleek and supple--makes you feel like you need a cigarette after watching her fight. She might have better upper body defence than Molly and she tightens up stroke inside very well for a tall girl. We think this fight goes to the harder competitor, because physically--it’s a wash!” Tricia in metallic in metallic baby blye bikini, Molly in silver-gray bikini. Jittery ring instructions: neither girl looking directly at the other, bit fighting down big-fight nerves.

During R1: Loping hops to midring, girls set up lanky, slow clockwise rotation, molly right at her cheek, looking to step her jab in, then pivot off it. Helfer with the low-slung left, lifting it to paw and swipe, leaning away to her right, bending at the waist--she’s more flat footed, supple. Molly shooting one-twos, largely missing oir glancing off Helfer’s left shoulder--Tricia kissing her jab off breast and golden ribcage, brushing cheek, leaning in with slinging rights and stroking hooks as she leans back out. Trish also adept at tapping little flurries of throw-away punches to set up one thick amidships or clout up top, Sinuous, strapping punching getting t done for Tricia--Sims unhurt, but catching the cleaner, more effective leather.

R2: Molly busier, doubling up her jab, jitterbugging footwork--Tricia’s feet comparatively quiet, emphasizing liquid torso movement over her legs as she slides and undulates around Sims. Molly brushing a lot of shots--having a hard time really nailing Tricia down. Helfer twisting, turning--showing face-in-gloves as she slips punches, bending forward at the waist, leaning backward, sliding back while dragging her front foot--very sensuous, graceful stuff. Midway through, Tricia eases back from a Molly right, ducks beneath Molly’s hook, bobs again to get under Molly’s jab, then come sup and over an oily hook clean on Sims’ chin: Molly frazzled, stepping in fence post holes, but recovering quickly. Probably the decisive moment of the round--girls go right back to fencing each other--Helfer deciding against strong follow up as Molly sticks some defensive jabs good to gut to show resolve.

R3: Molly’s jab starting to be a weapon--she’s forcing Tricia to make one too many cue moves on defensive--Sims able to dictate pace. Molly still landing flush, but she’s clearly the busier gal, spritzing stick, leaning into firm right hands, starting to stroke her mop-up hook downstairs to Tricia’s ribs. Sims devoting more time to the body--knows she’s got to stiffen Helfer, cramp up that movement, Tricia slipping shots, feinting, pivoting while dragging that front foot--she’s mostly looking to swat Molly lanky counter-hooks as Sims presses forward.

R4: Helfer with a long, winding hook claps Sims’ mouth, then drives in a slinging right on the button--Simsy startled, takes it well, staggers back to set her feet and punch. Molly answers a sharp one-two--Helfer swaying low underneath it, then scuttling forward quick, screening Mol with a fluttering up-jab to the eyes and leaning into a glorious, sweeping right to the left side of Simsy’s jaw! Molly pulling back from the punch as I lands and SIMS GOES DOWN! Tricia grinning happily as she jogs to neutral corner--Molly sprawling in tatters n her back, trying to shake off shock but she can’t get off her back! One punch KO4 in SPECTACULAR fashion--Tricia Helfer!

After: THUNDERCLAP separation  achieved--Helfer patiently dueling Molly, hurting her in the second, then revisiting the chin on the fourth--she ends Molly’s night with he hardest punch Tricia’s ever thrown in competition. “I wish I could’ve tagged Cat bell with that shot,” jokes a beaming Helfer in post fight, “It was a little bit lucky, I have to admit, but I was slipping a lot of shots and I feel Molly was getting frustrated, leaving herself open--that punch was there for me and I’m just glad I was able to capitalize.” Will Charlize Theron finally acknowledge the small screen blonde? What about a Liz Hurley showcase? Is a Cat Bell rematch in the works? what’s next for boxing’s newest fair-haired girl? “You know, I’d love  title shot, but I’ll just have to sit down with my team and see what’s best for me. Getting work won’t be a problem at least, and that’s a great feeling!” Sims devastated--she knows Tricia just took a lot from her tonight an there’ sonly one way to get it back. “I definitely want a rematch,” a curt Molly tells BLONDE! Magazine. “Good shot--she really tagged me and I didn’t see it coming, but she couldn’t do that again in a hundred fights.”
