KO5 Lawless

Daisy’s spent years slimming down, getting herself together at welter, now she’s bulked back up., campaigning at middle and the results are evident in this fight. Looking beefy and sluggish--Daisy still had the cute moves--little4 shoulder rolls behind a closed stance, the step to he right to set up screened right hands--but it was a stronger, more energetic lawless who dominated this fight.

With Daisy slipping punches, easing to her right and looking for choosy counters--Lucy came forward in a slugging stance, clubbing all things Fuentes with raucous lefts and rights, and even sporting an awkwardly effective jab to keep Daisy under wraps. Fuentes would go down in the second under a barrage of cavewoman haymakers from Lucy, and Lawless would even be brazen enough to trample her downed opponent with so-called “forward momentum”. Despite a nice recovery in the third, Fuentes was getting outworked and mauled at every turn and in the fifth, it all caught up with her at once. Making subtle moves at the ropes, Daisy ate a clanging hook inside her raised right mitt and went out on her feet, lolling sleepy with her right shoulder against the strands. Lawless partook of daisy with free shots--glorious swinging right crosses and raking double hooks on the slumbering face as the ref barked verbal separation orders from well behind the fighters, only making this move after the screams from ringside got his attention. Lawless showed her lack of fine-art skills in the ring can be compensated for when she hustles, comes forward and moves her hands.
