Liz 6 rounds to 4 UD10

Newcomer Leal (“Boston Public”) shows moxie, a little pop in taking Shue the route in an entertaining back and forth dime.

After swapping even leather through 2, veteran Shue settled into a digging, shoulder to shoulder punching rhythm which saw her back Leal up considerably, heads in close, tight touches on the body and chin to step Sharon into the ropes. Shue rolled up 3 consecutive shutouts through 6 and looked to be cruising--but somehow Leal didn’t get the script.

Sharon shook off Liz’s consistent work and started to back the curvy blonde down with the same short, punishing work in close Shue had been giving Leal all night. Punching with her chin up, Leal got mustard on swinging lefts and rights, pounding away on Liz’s chin, carrying into the blonde, bodying her disrespectfully into the ropes and putting punches together tits and tummy. Sharon showed fearless pursuit as a discouraged Shue disengaged, brunette chopping the right from the chest, hopping in a hook, putting another right hand on the blonde--Shue gave ground with a sullen, resentful look down the stretch. Leal would outwork Liz with b3 shutout rounds of her won and both girls carried shiny, puffy faces into the 10th, Shue’s experience and quality carried the day as she packed Leal into her home corner and crowded her for a sloppy, mugging shutout, sealing the deal. Liz getting older, never in a bad fight now--Leal feeling food about herself after this competitive test.
