BEFORE: "I just don't take any of Lilly's crap," Elisha explains in prefight, answering a question about her success against the division-intimidator. "I stand up to her, I punch hard with her, and she doesn't like it. Evangeline's a bully - and that's why I'm not sidestepping her to get right at Minka - because I don't want Lilly to get any false confidence. She needs to know that anytime she moves, Elisha Cuthbert's going to be right in her face, shutting her down!" Lilly all business at the dais: KO loss to Cuthbert a real sore-spot for proud former champ. "Is she poison for me?" Lilly says at podium. "Look - she's a compact power-puncher who commits everything she's got on her shots - that kind of girl is poison for anybody. But I know I'm better, and I can't let her boast that she tamed me. I'll do what I do: outwork her, grind her, beat her up round after round until she quits or runs out of time. During R1: Lilly exploring Lishy via stiff-jabs to chest - stepping right - ducking Cuthbert's winging rights - exchanging with Elisha in spots - then walking around her. Lilly beats the count woozy - scoots to her right along ropes as rampaging Cuthbert smokes her a wide right hand in the body...Evangeline legging for time, eventually luring Cuthbert into clinch. Lilly crafty - threading left arm in under 'Lishy's right and holding her close: Lilly able to tuck right hands into blonde abs, crowding and stuffing away as Cuthbert squirms, can't disengage to wing away free by the bell.

R3: Lilly jabbing, but coming in off the jab - she's looking to slide left arm in under 'Lishy's right, get left shoulder in Lishy's chest and fight out of the clinch. Cuthbert grimacing, pushing and bumping with Lilly - fight drifts to ropes as girls muscle-up inside. Cheek to cheek, Lilly relatively safe from Cuthbert's unpredictable haymakers - girls just stuffing away righty to firm guts-and-flanks. Lilly's legs working hard to keep Lishy's back to ropes - blonde girl trying without success to spin-reverse as Evangeline secures prime position at ropes.

R4: Punching, punching, punching - both girls letting hands go, getting busy in the fourth. Lilly lowering her head, rolling her shoulders, working 'Lishy's taut blonde gut hup-hup-hup. Cuthbert snarling, slamming back - no telling where her punches might go as mitts bounce off Lilly's torso, scalp at random. Crowd oohing and ahhing at the crisp, sharp spank - both girls scoring thick about one another's ribs and waist in near-constant exchanges. Down the stretch, Lilly accepts a blunt right hand on her chin as she's digging a right in under Cuthbert's left breast: brunette legs give a shimmy as Lilly's momentarily buzzed. Elisha connects on a quick-swinging left/right to chin...Evangeline's back (right) foot slides forward as she stumbles backward and LILLY SITS DOWN! Evangeline blinking, astonished as Cuthbert parades past, bellowing. Cuthbert back in the lead through 4, excited and upbeat on her stool during break.

R5: Lilly cold-blooded - jabbing her way in, reaching left arm in under Cuthbert's right, grinding left shoulder in Lishy-tits and walking blonde girl to ropes. Cuthbert grimacing with effort, trying to turn Lilly into ropes, but Evangeline too strong: brunette bodying up as necessary - stocky legs stamping for position, then right hand begins pumping into firm blonde midsection. Elisha slugging back in kind, but butt-on-ropes, she's not generating the same kind of thrust: Lilly in charge bell to bell, setting a murderous pace tummy to tummy through 5.

R6: Same again for Lilly - closing distance as quickly and safely as she can - wrapping Lishy with the left arm and walking her to ropes. Thick, thumping work - Lilly pushing on Cuthbert, then digging up body via right hands: blonde girl grimacing, straining for better position, but basically pinned to ropes. Cuthbert not shut out, but she's fighting a very muscular, energy-expensive fight inside as Lilly grinds away, stays in charge through 6. Fighters cheek to cheek - faces intense, chins on one another's left shoulders, staring into the distance as bodies sponge up punches. Bell: Lilly pushing up off Elisha all big-girl; Cuthbert's cheeks blush hot at the perceived attitude from her rival.

R7: Same again - Lilly jabbing her way in, establishing left arm-and-shoulder position, muscling Lishy to ropes, then working her over in the clinch. Cuthbert resigned to her fate - pushing against brawny brunette, slugging Evangeline's body and left flank - occasionally trying for awkward right hands to Lilly's left ear. No ref's breaks as girls are working hard and getting off: fighting takes place at ropes just a few feet away from Cuthbert's corner. Lilly controlling the pace - bodying up and pressing Cuthbert into ropes as needed, keeping blonde girl close. Constant dig-and-pump has Elisha mouthbreathing - she whines in protest when Lilly pushes up off her again at the bell.

R8: Elisha unable to keep Lilly outside: Evangeline scooting in close, wrapping Lishy up, bossing her ropeside. Blonde girl competitive - look at her plowing furious right hands at Lilly's hip or tummy - working around Evangeline's left arm...but Lilly happy to give up these shots if it means maintaining position. Lilly methodical atop her blonde - shouldering Elisha into ropes, pounding her righty in the gut - getting into her tits a bit with little right hand chops out of the clinch. More points for Lilly; more frustration for Cuthbert as blonde just can't renegotiate terms through 8.

R9: Elisha swinging for the fences early, FINALLY repulsing Evangeline's attempted lock-up: Lilly forced to circle outside, eyes narrow/cautious. Cuthbert lunging, getting her body forward: she starts to land wide, swinging right hands in Lilly's left flank; looping rights behind the left ear; scouring hooks across the jugs. Lilly jabbing to regroup, trying to sort 'Lishy out, but blonde girl's finding the range, slugging Lilly out of her stance and forcing her to retreat. Bell: Cuthbert breathing hard, chest heaving, hands on her hips: lot of work for little reward as Lilly stalks to corner still relatively fresh.

R10: Lilly quickly in on Elisha, bodying her to ropes: instead of working out of the wrap, Lilly's shoving off, staying low to deploy both hands to Elisha's midsection. Blonde girl groaning as digging work pounds her abdominals: Cuthbert's butt-in-ropes, slumping forward, crossing arms against her body. Lilly humming, in rhythm: steady work downstairs punctuated in tuff palm-shoves in Cuthbert's shoulders to brace her ropeside, then short, pulverizing lefts and rights pound at Lishy's face/chest until she's willing to give up her body again. Up and down, up and down - Lilly shoving and slugging, really breaking Cuthbert's will here as Elisha can't answer back. By the midway point, Lilly's ragdoll-heaving Cuthbert into ropes, slopping her upright, then processing her - brunette stamping straight right/lefts into blonde torso, crippling Elisha. Cuthbert bleating in pain, turning her right shoulder into ropes: she's doubling forward, presenting her left flank to Lilly. Evangeline heartless - face stoney as she sets to deliver hateful, chopping right hands down onto back/leftside ribs of her foe...thudding punches thumping thick off 'Lishy's shuddering torso as blonde legs fail. Elisha bludgeoned to her knees - she hugs her battered ribcage, crouching down on her haunches, putting forehead-on-canvas. It's over - Lishy weeping from the beating, can't fight the count: KO10 in brutal fashion, Evangeline Lilly.

After: Lilly down twice, but relentless in solving the puzzle of Elisha: Evangeline making her fitness a weapon in simply using up dynamic blonde slugger tummy to tummy. "For whatever reason, I wasn't reading her well outside," Lilly admits of her trips to the canvas. "I knew I had to shorten the distance and set a high work rate - just get inside her swimsuit and make her sweat. It worked: Elisha Cuthbert's built for 3 round, last-woman-standing type firefights, but you drag her into deep water and she doesn't like it. She's tuff - a lot of girls wouldn't have gone ten with the punishment she was taking - but sometimes tuff's not enough!"
