BBU BANTAMWEIGHT TITLE

Back to Catherine, “Now, the BBU bantamweight championship, between our holder, formerly of Emmerdale, is Bolton’s own Amy Nuttall.” The redhead looks good, wearing pink, taking the audience’s applause, then Catherine, announces, “Her challenger, late of Hollyoaks, just 21 years old, is Merseysider Emma Rigby.” The gorgeous blonde removes her gown, to reveal her lovely body sexily clad in black.

Round 1

Amy has confidently predicted an early finish to this fight, and she is quickly into her stride, avoiding the younger girl’s long reach, battering her face with that hard right jab of hers, then catching her to the body with follow up lefts. And Emma is hurt already, hard left hook to the flank has her squealing, then a clubbing left to the ear floors the blonde, scrambling to her feet at 5, annoyed with herself. Cocky Amy comes back in, plundering that body, hooking her left and right to the ribs, the blonde just covering up until the final seconds of the round when she suddenly bats Amy with a nice left jab to the cheek, then another, and she’s smiling at the bell.

Round 2

Amy looks to get inside Emma’s long reach early again, but the blonde has learned from her first round misfortunes, and is boxing the redhead from arm’s length, her gloves regularly making contact with the champion’s face, reddening the skin around her eyes, and Nuttall just cannot find an answer, the lovely blonde just peppering her face, rocking her head back, only having to take punches late in the round as she slows down and the redhead belts her round the body, Rigby defending in the final seconds.

Emma’s round this time.

Round 3

Emma still on her toes, still landing her jabs to Amy’s face as the round starts, the champion becoming frustrated as the younger girl outboxes her, and she starts lunging with wild hooks, only to find herself taking good, straight punches to the face, a face which is beginning to bruise now, as Amy finds herself on the back foot, covering up as the tall blonde picks her off, every punch she throws being met with at least two in reply – she needs to rethink her tactics or lose her title, and she grabs onto Rigby when the blonde gets closer, roughing her up inside, smacking her body with short, sharp punches, rubbing her forehead into the girl’s face – the ref parts the girls, but Amy is soon there again, leaning on Emma, using her experience to tire her out, leaving the blonde confused at the bell.

Emma takes that round, too.

Round 4

Once again, a bouncing Emma Rigby is looking good, keeping Amy at arm’s length, but the champion is parrying those punches now, busying forward, loosing of some solid blows of her own to the blonde’s body, first the ribs, then the shoulders – an unusual target, but a painful one – and she has Emma in trouble on the ropes by the end of the round, her guard becoming a shambles, Amy’s hard right hooks now finding that pretty face a hittable target, and blood is trickling from the younger girl’s nose.

Amy takes round 4, and is looking strong.

Round 5

Amy is smiling as the round starts, punishing Emma to the ribs from the opening bell, muscling the younger girl around the ring, but the blonde does her best to stand her ground, and catches the redhead with a good straight left to the mouth as she gets overconfident, knocking her off balance. Amy stumbles into the ropes, and in pours Emma, batting the champ’s face with both fists as she covers up, but the youngster’s losing power in those punches, and she is soon having to take another barrage of blows to her aching body, which leaves her in pain on the ropes at the end of the round.

Round 6

Emma looks tired, but starts well again, landing left jabs to Amy’s face, but the champ is unfazed, and she gets back at the young blonde, hooking her to the body with both fists, weakening her and slowing her down even more, then thuds her right jab into the girl’s face, the centre now smeared in blood from that damaged nose – Emma is struggling, gets caught with a left hook to the mouth, her legs buckles, then gets caught with a right to the other side of her face as she staggers around, and Rigby’s down, hits the canvas in frustration, and gets to her feet at 7. Amy grins as the challenger glares at her, more or less pushes her into the ropes, then gives her body a hard two fisted beating for the remaining seconds of the round – it’s a sobbing Emma Rigby who stumbles to her corner.

Round 7

Her defence fading, Emma is very quickly trapped again on the ropes by a champion keen to finish her off, and Amy hurts that lovely body again, then it’s a right hook to the ear, left hook to the jaw and Emma goes down again, sliding slowly to the canvas, gritting her teeth, hauling herself upright at 8, but the ref has seen enough – the fight is over.

Amy Nuttall stopped Emma Rigby in round 7 to retain the BBU bantamweight championship.

Amy is full of praise for Emma after the fight, inviting the blonde to tour the ring with her, not a walk of shame, but a walk of triumph.
