OXYGEN NETWORK TO AIR FIGHTING REALITY SHOW
“Variety reports that a new reality show will focus on young Odette Yustman and be titled “This Ingénue’s Life”. All the gym-smokers, club-callouts, impromptu audition scraps, beach tumbles, and glass-box contests at swanky Hollywood parties will be covered as Odette looks to attain lasting stardom in the world’s cruelest city. We’ll see Odette at work and at play--with pictures of Jessica Alba on Yustman’s bedroom wall as a constant reminder of what it’s all about. (Simguy note: I’ve seen the glass box thing with Yustman taking on Sarah carter in close confines. Definitely worth a look.)
STUFF FINES HANDED OUT IN THE WAKE OF SAVAGE PPV.
“Celebrity Ring” reports that the FCBA Compliance Office came down hammer-hard on the guilty heads of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Jessica Biel for their conduct during and after respective fights in the most recent PPV. Exact figures were not disclosed, but punishments in the dozens-and-dozens of dollars have not been unheard of. Oddly enough--Cornish and Cuoco were also fined for displaying “Provocative Vulnerability” and “Failing to Protect Themselves at All Times.” The off-setting fines means no suspensions are required. A mouthpiece from Compliance is quoted in the article as saying “We think these girls have gotten the message. Loud AND clear.”
RICCI CALLED OUT
Rachael Leigh Cook, Amy Jo Johnson, Brenda Song and others have posted several blog and print responses to what appears to have been an open invitation from resurgent Christina Ricci in the wake of her successful Gellar-drubbing.
STRAHOVSKI BRANED “UNDERACHIEVER” BY BLONDE!
BLONDE! Magazine has been unusually harsh with a young up and coming Yvonne Strahovski in the wake of ‘Vonnie’s failed bid to put Mary Elizabeth Winstead in her place. “Yvonne’s got the body of a champion ,” the article stresses. “She has no reason in the world to be losing to a ho-hum brunette like MEW.”

That’s the question buzzing through the fight community, following a very public dressing-down of the former champ by her cracker-munching overlords. “We usually see that kind of chastisement reserved for Lindsay lohan on movie sets,” Observers one Celebrity ring columnist. “This is a tremendous embarrassment for one of boxing’s proudest and most professional fighters.”
