The question coming in was “could Uma stick and move for 10 rounds, while hurting Brooke enough to get respect?” 4 minutes in, the answer was resounding “Hell no!” Uma did the right thing, busting big Brooke a pair of shattering right hands on the chin that did wobble Shields’ backside in the first round, but couldn’t get the big woman off her feet. A confident, patient Brooke Shields stalked her opponent with a battering ram jab, whittling down the ring and in the first minute of the second round, dismissed Uma from the tournament with a single shirt right on the button. KO2 Brooke Shields as the former MIDDLEWEIGHT champ made a bold statement concerning a return to welt weight prominence.
