(Result:Simguy/words:Simgrrl) Front Street/Empuire vs Academy Stable War

Before: This is fight #8 in the long series between two of the dominant blondes of the early 21st Century...and the first since May 2006. The series stands 4-3 in favor of Theron, but Cam makes no bones about her intention of evening it up... and then some!

Diaz has experienced something of a renaissance in the last two years, resurrecting a career that had languished since that 2006 loss to Theron. From 2004 through 2009, Cam rarely fought and her record was 2-10. She'd been forgotten or overlooked by everyone in the FCBA, managing to keep her fight career alive only thanks to apartment bouts and wrestling. But in 2010, miracle of miracles; she was reborn! Since then, she's undefeated, going 6-0 and beating some of the hottest lightweights in the FCBA (Arterton, Bell, Cuoco, Swan, Swanepoel and Winstead). Now, her old nemesis Charlize Theron is waiting and Diaz can't contain her excitement.

"Charlize has gotten old in the last few years," Cam preens before the mics. "It's why she retired and, if some investments hadn't gone South on her, she'd still be retired." When prompted by a media question, Diaz wisely declined to speculate on whether 'one of Theron's investments' had personal, rather than financial. Instead, Cam wisely just stood by her statement. "Old...that's what I said and that's what I meant. She's taken a lot of abuse in, like four hundred fights; that catches up with a girl suddenly. Look what happened to Cat Bell....world-beater one day, has-been the next. Same thing's happening to Theron."
When it was pointed out that Cam is actually OLDER, she just chuckled and hit another sexy pose. "Yeah, but the Gods have been kinder to me," she said, making a pouting little moue for the cameras. "I haven't had as many fights, and I don't have to give up my body the way Charlize had to for the last several years. Why if you compare the wear and tear, I'm almost ten years younger...physically. Mentally, who knows, it may be even more. She's gotten so darn serious lately..."
Theron anything but frumpy in appearance as she appears all glammed for the media - as if to put the lie to Diaz' charge of "old age" - in fact, Theron's downright gorgeous in a tight mini-dress that shows off her long legs to perfection.
"While Cam was sitting on the sidelines from 2006 to 2009, I was in the ring fighting...and winning. I had 64 fights and won 42 of them while she had only 12 fights total. I also won an Oscar and a Golden Globe, in case anyone is paying attention to the real reason we're doing this! So Cam can pose, preen and posture all she wants; fact of the matter is, I'm better than her in every way and she just can't accept that. So I guess I'm just going to have to take her to the woodshed one more time and prove it to her like I did the last time she faced me."
Attire: Cam in her blue bikini; Charlize in a fawn color thong bikini. Both women barefoot; both with black gloves. Cam's hair in a fighting braid; Charlize's a saucy ponytail. Glares from both prefight as they meet at center ring.

During R1: Competitive round, but one Diaz more/less controls the majority of the time with via a straight jab and her nimble legs. Combined, they manage to keep Diaz well outside of Theron's power zone. Charlize, ever the aggressor, unable to pull the trigger on a significant punch. So despite a 'defense first' approach, Diaz narrowly takes the round - mostly on her showmanship as Theron is forced to miss often and Cam dazzles the judges with a lot of flashy (but missing) combination flurries of her own.

R2: Another good first minute for Diaz... until Theron triggers a pull-counter and from there Cam's stepping in fence post holes! Charlize cleans up after that; deliberately - and massively - working on Diaz' slender body; trying to kill her seemingly tireless legs. Bell: Cam hugging her ribs as she minces to her corner while Charlize greeted by Cat Bell/Sharon Stone like a conquering heroine in hers.

R3: Cam out flat-footed; Theron still coming forward, getting all big girl on Cam. With Diaz down off her toes, Charlize is able to strafe Cam's body and Diaz spends the final two minutes of the round in (orderly) retreat as Charlize drives her to backstep in ever narrowing circles.

R4: Diaz staggered again by Theron's pull-counter in the opening minute...Cam flat footed; being beaten systematically around the ring as Theron continues to fight her at medium/close range - closer the better as far as Theron's concerned. Charlize the 'big woman' in the ring and she's making Cam feel it; taking her weight as she leans in to push/shove the lighter blonde back at every opportunity. Charlize finishes the round with a five punch flurry that sends Cam reeling back to her corner. Charlize spins away, arms raised...selling the judges who give it to her 10-8 without a knockdown.

R5: Cam hurt yet again! Theron straight out, bludgeoning Diaz; hitting her very hard tonight...all that good body work piling up; slowing Cam; making her more easily available... and Charlize takes advantage. Diaz still bendy inside the pocket; but she's stuck in a phone booth, not able to use her legs to avoid heavy leather. Still, Diaz' very well conditioned; able to survive the round; sliding along the ropes; clinching; rolling...but we're not seeing much offense by Cam.

R6: Diaz walking out to meet Theron; trading right hands; eating a left hook. DIAZ GETS DROPPED! It's an accumulation of punches - not only in this round, but in the hard rounds previously - that does the damage. Cam scrambling back up like a champ; settling her butt into ropes; gloves earmuffed; shoulders dipping and torso swaying. Theron - in all her 'Golden Goddess' glory - just digging in to punish a hated rival in ham-handed, one-sided, fashion for the last two and a half minutes!

R7: Diaz' legs gone? Theron STILL hitting her hard - and Diaz is hurt again! Cam just can't get herself together; can't get enough going to manage to right the ship and go on the offensive. Another round of 'crisis-management' for Cam - her priority simply to survive; not having the luxury of worrying about scoring points. No doubt about it; Theron's burying Cam on all the cards after seven.

R8: Cam no longer making any pretense; she's running for her life...Theron sweeps Diaz about the ring; not chasing her, just calmly stepping after; cutting off Cam's retreat; pounding the body when she gets her cornered. Cam turns; runs; but Charlize is right there with another right hand that sends Cam reeling along the ropes in disheveled disarray. It's ugly and the fans are muttering...some wanting Charlize to end it; others hoping Cam can land a punch or two to turn it around. Nobody's entirely happy - except Charlize who struts grinning back to her stool.

R9: Cam finally getting her second wind, or is Theron just taking a breather? Diaz still flat-footed, but with Theron now also immobile, Cam's finally able to put some Ali/Sugar Ray combos together and it brings the fans out of their seats screaming. Late: Cam lands a couple of rights to the head that brings a stream of blood from Charlize's left brow as Cam puts a wobble in Theron's butt for the first time! Pandemonium from the Theron faithful. Crossed fingers by Diaz' supporters; is this the 'Cam-back' they've been praying for?

R10: Nothing to lose, Diaz goes all in; jab targeting Theron's left eye. Two blistering combos drop Theron to her knees a minute in! Charlize up, reeling back-to-ropes. She spends the rest of the round; stunned; her butt jammed in the strands; gloves earmuffed; hanging tough as Diaz lays on a desperate two-fisted beatdown. But all proves to be too little; too late. Theron's superior legs hold her up to the gun and it comes back a UD10 Charlize Theron when Cam Diaz' late rally comes up woefully short.

After: Bitter pill for Cam; being man-handled for seven or eight rounds by a hated rival who's whole career seems to have been devoted to frustrating Diaz at every turn. Cam's proud legs neutralized early, then her sleek body abused with her helpless to stop it. Charlize over to make a big show of 'good sportsmanship', raising Cam's hand in what may have been an insincere gesture. Cam quickly, angrily; snatches it away and turns her back on Theron! Charlize wraps Cam up in a bearhug from behind, Cam wriggling and writhing; struggling to free herself from the big blonde's clutches. Charlize hisses something in Diaz' ear that turns Cam's face bright red. Then Charlize sends her away with a swat on the keister!

"It was between us," Cam grunts brusquely when asked later what Theron said. "I'll remind her about it one of these days...preferably sooner rather than later." Then Cam stalked angrily off the stage; refusing to answer further questions from the inquiring minds who want to know.
"I caught her early and shook her; after that it was just a matter of cleaning up," Charlize said breezily, as if the one-sided dismissal of a legendary blonde rival had always been a foregone conclusion. "Diaz is a quick little blonde who's usually able to out-maneuver bigger women. As you saw in the ring tonight, I'm not like most women! You have to get on a fighter like Diaz; not give her room to maneuver; corner her and take her legs out of the equation. I mean, without her legs, Cam isn't much of a fighter. She doesn't hit that hard and her combinations are...um, predictable."
Like Diaz, Charlize declined to discuss their postfight exchange. "There were some hard feelings as you might expect with two longtime rivals," she said. "Things were said that maybe should have been left unsaid - if either of us had thought about it. But it'll all be forgotten; we're professionals after all."
