Lisa is pleased to be back in action against the leading contender Sabrina, and is confident of knocking out Alesha Dixon's former bandmate - but Sabrina is no mug, and Lisa must show her respect. Sabrina is a very confident girl, and she has vowed to knock Lisa out tonight.

Again, the girls look superb in their fighting outfits, Sabrina in pale blue bra and panties, and Lisa in her favourite black leather bikini.

Round 1

Lisa is into the attack first, her jabs finding Sabrina's face, but Sabrina is aggressive too, and she lands a few good shots to LIsa's face, smacking it back and forth, making the champion cover up and retreat. Lisa's on the ropes towards the end of the round, taking shots to her body, and Sabrina is helping herself now, sending Lisa's legs to jelly when she rips an uppercut into her chin - Maffia is hurt and shaky at the bell.

Sabrina takes the first round, and looks dominant.

Round 2

Sabrina is very confident, and she's knocking Lisa around easily, landing her solid punches to the champ's face, and Lisa covers up again, takes a right hook, and another - Sabrina follows in with a hard left to Lisa's mouth, and she's down, Lisa on her back, dazed. On her feet at 7, but still shaky, Lisa gets pushed to the ropes where she takes some heavy shots to her body again, then Sabrina wipes left and right hooks across her mouth and Lisa ends the round sat on her ass on the canvas, after being felled with a lovely left hook.

Big round for Sabrina - this could be over real quick!

Round 3

Sabrina comes out, looking for Lisa, wanting to finish her off, and she hurts her with a straight left to the mouth almost immediately, then rips a right hard into her belly, and she has Lisa clinching, her mouth gaping. The girls are parted, and Sabrina swings a wild hook at Lisas face which misses, and that allows the champion to land to Sabrina's body instead, crisp hooks to the ribs which hurt, following up to the face neatly, leaving Sabrina unsteady at the bell.

Tight round - too close to call.

Round 4

Lisa won't let Sabrina settle in this round, batting at her body all the while, looking to bring the big girl's guard down - but Sabrina is strong, and Lisa can't push her around. Sabrina stands up to her when they trade punches, and hers appear to be harder than Lisa's as she makes her back-pedal, her right hooks clearly hurting Lisa, who has to hold again. Late in the round, Lisa at last begins to wear Sabrina down, landing well to her ribcage again.

Round 5

Lisa is keen again in the early stages of the round, her hooks to the body beginning to take their toll on Sabrina, and the bigger girl looks tired as she rests against the ropes, then clinches, leaning onto Lisa, which annoys the champion. The girls are parted by the referee, after which Sabrina gets another left jab through Lisa's guard, then lands a right hook over the top, which has Lisa's knees buckling again, and she's the one clinching again, taking punishment inside at the bell.

Another too close to call round.

Round 6

Sabrina starts the round the stronger, and her left jab is again knocking Lisa's head back, a shower of blood from her nose and lips spattering across her face with every blow, then Sabrina hurts her to the body again, making her knees buckle, with Lisa holding on, almost down again. Once more the girls are broken, and they exchange punches, with Lisa getting the worst of it, the champion on the ropes by the end of the round, as Sabrina is crashing left and right hands into her face.

That's Sabrina's round.

Round 7

Sabrina is breathing hard as the round begins, having put a lot of effort into the sixth, and a brave Lisa is landing hooks to her body again, Sabrina almost seeming to take a rest, allowing Lisa to unload to her ribs and midsection. Sabrina is on the ropes in the second half of the round, those hooks now hurting her, but still the challenger manages to fight back, a lovely right hook to the jaw almost decking Lisa in the closing seconds.

Just about Lisa's round.

Round 8

Lisa comes forward as the round starts, but she gets knocked back by Sabrina's hard left jabs, then takes a brutal right hook to the gut which has her quaking. Sabrina works that left into Lisa's face again , standing the girl upright, then cracks her right hook across her cheek, and Lisa goes down, grovelling around, before regaining her feet at 8, clinching, holding on like a limpet to the end of the round - she's looking like a loser now.

Sabrina takes another big round.

Round 9

Now Sabrina is looking to knock Lisa out - she cuffs the champ's face good and hard with her left jabs, forcing her onto the ropes, Lisa just looking to survive in the early part of the round, holding and hitting, using her experience to try to get some advantage. The referee breaks the girls several times as the round continues, with each break seeing Sabrina looking more and more weary - and Lisa catches her! That's a solid right to the jaw to have Sabrina staggering backwards into the ropes, two lefts to the body have her slumping, and Lisa floors her with another right hook to the jaw. Sabrina is up at 7, but unsteady, and she takes more punishment before the bell.

Round 10

Two very tired girls struggle to their feet for the final round, but it's Sabrina landing the first punches, her jabs smacking into Lisa's face, making the champ clinch again, then she pushes her to the ropes, hurting her with body shots. But Lisa won't give up her title easily, and she's fighting back, landing to Sabrina's body at first, then to her face, left, right, left again - finally, with just seconds left, Lisa lands a peach of a right hook to Sabrina's cheek, and puts the exhausted girl down. Sabrina struggles up at 9, and hangs on to the final bell, both girls seeing to think they have won.

Lisa takes that last round - is it enough?

It's a split decision - and Lisa Maffia is adjudged to have beaten Sabrina Washington on points, to retain the BBU lightweight title. The decision is not popular- most fightfans had Sabrina winning that. Sabrina herself is outraged, convinced that she had won.
