Dannielle defends her flyweight title for the second time in a couple of weeks, now opposed by Gemma Merna, who at 26, is 5 years younger, and who is on a roll, whereas Dannielle has suffered a couple of defeats lately, unable to overcome experienced FCBA boxers.

Gemma is first into the ring, gorgeous in a navy blue, white trimmed bra and panties, the fans whistling at her. Dannielle wears a gold bikini, her slim body also looking great.

Round 1

Gemma, as ever, takes the fight to her opponent immediately, no respecter of reputations, and she is landing some pretty heavy shots to Dannielle's face, backing the champion up in the early stages, with Brent just unable to land her more correct jabs. The round carries on like this until the final thirty seconds or so, when Danni at last gets a good straight left through Gemma's gloves, then rips a nice right hook into her flank to leave her in pain between rounds.

Gemma had the better of the first round

Round 2

Dannielle starts this round better, now looking to dictate the fight by jabbing and moving, keeping out of range from those clubbing Merna hooks, working hard behind the gloves to ping her nice crisp shots landing all around Gemma's face, gradually reddening the skin, especially around her right eye. Gemma is trying to close Danni down, but the champion is a skilled boxer, more than capable of keeping the younger blonde off with her jab, and landing her own heavier shots to the body, too.

Dannielle took the second

Round 3

Gemma is again forced to defend in the early stages of the round, with the energetic Dannielle moving well, moving quickly, and smacking her accurate jab unerringly into Merna's eager face. Gemma doesn't lack aggression, but her tactics are rather naïve, her telescoped hooks too easy for Dannielle to ride, the older girl countering well, not just with the jab to the face, but she's hooking well to Gemma's body, too, the closing seconds being hard for the challenger as Brent gets her on the ropes and bumps those big, soft tits around.

Dannielle takes another round

Round 4

This is turning into a boxing lesson for Gemma, with Dannielle in total control, landing so many punches in the younger girl's face whilst her own are missing or being blocked. By the midpoint, Brent has manoeuvred Merna to the ropes again, clearly looking to unload to the girl's much-vaunted body, but now the challenger spots her chance, ripping two, three, four thundering hooks over Danni's guard and into her face, knocking the champion backwards, teetering on her heels, she then follows up, hurts Brent with a left to the liver, ands a right to the side of her head, and the champion is sat on her ass, gazing up at a sneering Gemma Merna whilst taking a 7 count. Once on her feet, a shaky Dannielle manages to survive til the bell, but she has been caught and hurt.

Gemma wins a big round

Round 5

No longer moving with the same confidence, Dannielle gets caught by Gemma's lunging left hook to the ribs early in the round, and she's twisting and writhing on the ropes as the younger blonde cuffs her with left and right hands. Hurt, but not by any means finished, Dannielle fights back strongly, punishing Gemma for her impertinence by cracking a pair of lovely jabs into her face, then, with the youngster's head ringing, she lets go an absolute peach of a right hook which thuds into her eye socket and puts her on the canvas. Gemma crawls to the ropes to get to her feet at 8, and she's in big trouble here, with a rampant Dannielle moving back in on her, and the champ gets her again to the body, but can't quite find the big one to knock her down again.

Now Dannielle wins a big round

Round 6

In comes Dannielle again, knowing she's hurt Gemma - but she's still boxing, still jabbing from a distance and moving, not wanting to risk a long exchange of punches with this girl, and this gives Gemma the chance to get herself back together, leaning onto Brent when she gets the chance, making the champ do the work, looking to tire her out. Danni is looking tired, too, then, when there's around a minute to go, Gemma goes for her, gambling everything as she swings big, looping hooks into the older girl's head, rocking her backwards, and putting her on the ropes. Brent looks dazed as Merna follows her up, knocks her head back with a good left, then hurts her to the belly, first with a right, then a left, so that Dannielle, wincing in pain, drops to her knees, gasping on the canvas, regaining her feet after the bell.

Gemma takes the initiative back

Round 7

Dannielle has not really regained her senses during the break, and she's wide open as Gemma moves into attack again, knocking her off balance with two quick left hooks to the mouth, she rips into the girl's body again, Brent gasping the word, "No!" before Gemma puts her away with a right hook to that unprotected jaw, the now former champion motionless as she is counted out.

Gemma Merna knocked Dannielle Brent out in round 7, to become the new BBU flyweight champion.

Denise van Outen is back at ringside tonight, and hears a beaming Gemma Merna tell the fans, "Now that Danni's out of the way, I'm ready to defend this title against anybody! Silva! Mulheron! Porter! Keegan! I'll take you all, one after another!"
