Before: Interesting match up--maybe even a fight Cameron would have ducked if she had clout, but she’s got some re-proving of herself to do. Diaz reportedly much more sanguine on the fight in the aftermath of the GLN KO of Halle six weeks previous. Berry much improved over last year, very fluid technically, and extremely fit--Diaz once considered the best technician in the sport, may have let the sport pass her by with complacent training habits, but claims to have rededicated herself., Berry in yellow and white triangle print bikini, Cameron in lime green bikini, looking heavier and healthier than she has.

During R1: Some nasty surprises for overconfident Diaz to start--Berry athletic enough to cut off the ring efficiently hounds Cameron to the perimeter of the ring from the opening bell. Diaz likes to control the space in between the fighters with her jab--Berry jabbing simultaneously takes the punch away. Halle also putting together a nice left uppercut, left hook combination, smoothly turning the punch over with her weight on that front foot. All Berry until late--Diaz stepping back, suddenly reverses fields and hammers a straight right hand to the forehead of Halle--BERRY IS HURT! Cameron capitalizing as Halle reels--crashing lefts and rights in swiping arcs, connecting with fists, wrists, and side of the hand batters the stunned brunette to the ropes at the bell., Diaz stealing the round with flashy power over Berry’s consistent good work.

R2: OH CAMERON! Diaz walks Halle into a surprise left uppercut on the chin and berry is wobbly butt with plenty of time on the clock. Diaz starting to get her legs going, circling, slapping that open hand Ali jab into Berry’s face, occasionally pounding the straight right to the forehead or eyes. Halle sucking it up. Recovers nicely and down the stretch is holding her own, still messing with Cameron’s timing and walking the blonde down very effectively to initiate banging exchange.

R3: OH HALLE! Berry gets payback, licking the left uppercut in between cam’s gloves, putting the left hook o top, and Diaz wobbles sideways with a vacant look. Berry stalking, jabbing her way in and laying on with clubbing right hands, always coming back with that ripping Trinidad hook as Diaz awkwardly swoons along the ropes. Midway through the round, Cameron with her back to the ropes unleashes a withering series of curling lefts and rights, buffeting Berry’s breasts and face to back the brunette up--lunging right cross on the teeth swivels Halle’s head and leaves HER hurting. Both beauties looking back lock-legged, reaching punches into one another’s faces, hands low, staggering clockwise mid-ring at the bell.

R4: Halle starting strong, again cutting off the ring on a shocked Cameron Diaz who is forced one more to the ropes. When Diaz can’t leg her way out of trouble, she can hit--Halle getting there with the slinging hook as Diaz carries her hands at her stomach. Midway through the round, Diaz dancing around the perimeter of the ring, catches Halle rushing in with another sneaky, lead right on the eye--Berry double-clutching nearly goes down. Cameron stepping to the right, goes at Berry’s body with pounding intensity, pumping her long arms back and forth into the girl’s ribs to put her ropeside in trouble. Halle with her gloves at her lips, eyes pleading--Cameron pouring it on, hammering straight one twos through the mitts to pound Halle’s face, swiping double left hooks to the jaw and scoring repeatedly with whipping right hands from the hip--AND THE ~REF JUMPS IN! Halle cut, but shocked at the stoppage protests wildly as Cameron jumps for joy. TKO4 Cameron Diaz.

After: Surprisingly brutal affair sees both girls hurt repeatedly during the contest, Berry able to make Cameron fight, but Diaz responding, landing big shots when she had to and finishing with a vicious flurry that certainly looked stoppage worthy despite Berry’s bitter complaints. Cameron calling out the likes of Bell, Theron while Halle begins to look like a blonde plaything, dropping her second consecutive whack to the fair-haired set.
