Before: Liu itching to get back in action grants solid but unremarkable veteran lane as unexpected title shot. Di always in great shape, sports black push and panties, black shoes and gloves--Liu in blue floral print Oriental short sleeved shirt to a turtle neck, cropped tight beneath the breast line, matching print high cut briefs, long ponytail white shoes and gloves.

During R1: Lane lays a beautiful veteran trap to open the bout. Leaning forward to invite Liu’s leaping uppercut, Lane rocks back and tags Lucy lunging in with the quick left hook. Liu stunned, off balance, begins to reef around the ring as Diane steps with her, punching Lucy ragged, Lane not a big puncher, but her pursuit keeps Lucy off balance and chopping right hands wreck havoc on Liu’s exotic face. By the bell, Lucy has been rocked over and over, beaten from pillar to post, and Diane has not been touched, Feverish corner work on Liu’s side as her bulging right eye and swelling cheekbones are fixed up.

R2: not your usual cocky Liu. Hurt and tentative, Liu backpedaling, sliding and wheeling away from Lane as Diane looks to finish the champ off, Lane inexorably cutting off the ring--Liu almost in the corner. Lucy shoots out the don’t-hurt-me left, but then drops a slicing right hand down across her body, bashing Lane hard on the temple and Lane is stunned! Di reels drunkenly back, and Lucy creeps forward, staying low, leaping up to bang full blooded right hands hard off Diane’s face as she backpedals. LANE GOES DOWN! Diane Lane lies writhing on her back, gloves at her head, knees bent, and she will not beat the count. Team liu breathes a sigh of relief as that hamed-like power comes through.

After: Lucy lucky to get out of the first, was as badly beaten in that round as she ever has been. Lane forgot the cardinal rule: never follow a puncher, and it cosr her as Liu gets off cheap in this one.
