Before: Peeples the only woman to hang a double L on Lucy, and Liu smarting with embarassment over continued doubts about her ability to handle Nia’s body shots. Both girls talking cocky leading in, but there’s a nervous undercurrent--loser will be winless in her last 3, and facing possible ejection from the Top 10 pound-for-found lists--not to mention immediate title contention. Lucy in black push up, red aerobics briefs, slick ponytail--Nia black sports, red speedos, messy ponytail with forelocks.

During R1: Nia out strong and fast, taking the fight right to Lucy and making Liu prove herself with harmful gut shots. Lou hurting early, cringing and covering up, looks panicky, and Nia digs vicious uppercuts into the Asian’s firm midriff and LUCY GOES DOWN! Liu in obvious pain, on all fours, takes 8, then runs for her life. Peeples smiling, gets a little overanxious, and clever Liu avoids the shutout by utilizing a pawing come-along hook under Nia’s chin as Peeples charges recklessly in.

R2: Liu with her hands down, stands her ground as Peeples wades in. at the last second, Liu falls off to the right side, walking Nia into a classic lead right uppercut from the knees that has Peeples wobbling, and it’s Lucy’s turn to finish. Liu slashing in, dragging huge rights and lefts behind her to snap into Nia’s skull or midsection, then dipping out at an angle, never taking her vicious eyes off the target, Peeples wobbly butt, holds her fists stiffly in front of her face, and is powerless as Liu batters her this round with patented leaping haymakers.

R3: Liu pouring it on, comes at nia in waves, leaping into splatter her fists across Nia’s face or taut abs, then swaying out to reload. Peeples just trying to survive, staying square to the target, legs still wobbling--but every time Peeples thinks Liu’s backed off, Lucy’s still able to slash back in and land, Nia busting up around the eyes soaks up another brutal shutout as Liu smiles like a Siamese cat at the bell.

R4: Third consecutive shutout for Liu as she widens the gulf between herself and Nia. Peeples crouching behind her mitts, seems frozen, unable to get off, and Lucy is picking her shots, Liu turning southpaw, lifts the right uppercut in between Nia’s guard with a popping impact, falling off to the right side to spank a wide left hook off Peeples’ face on the way out. Liu also bending low to leap into dragging lefts from an orthodox stance to the pit of Nia’s stomach. Peeples gritting her teeth, continues to weather the storm, but she’s getting rolled through 4.

R5: Nia rediscovers herr piston jab--the short, banging impacts pick Liu up on the way in and reject several early advances from the Asian. At the minute mark, Nia backing Liu off with jabs, jumps in and tags Lucy’s chin clean with a sharp hook--Liu’s hands down, she’s caught flush and takes a seat. Lucy up at 8, betrayed once again by bad balance duiring her wild attack and she chips way at nia the rest of the way with walking left hooks as she moves to her right.

R6: Lucy’s corner tells her she’s losing the fight based on the two knockdowns and Liu comes out looking for the home run. Nia moving her upper body again, sends Liu sprawling as she ducks under a slashing right hand, and catches Lucy;s wide open belly with a snappy right hook--Lucy gurgling in pain collapses to her knees, and Nia shouts in triumph at the sight. Liu up at 8, wobbling and discouraged, begins to retreat, slapping out her left hand, and dancing away at Peeples stalks. Nia grinning, has her girl hurting to the body, and taps away, jumping in to drop that crisp hook onto Liu’s chest or solar plexus as lou staggers back. Final minute, Lucy fading towards the ropes, touches Nia with a measuring right then jerks a hard left hand down across Peeples’ temple as Nia rushes in. Nia suddenly wobbly, reels back, eyes wide and vacant as Liu sucks it up. Now Liu hops in, crouching low under Nia’s poking left hand, and straightening up with a Statue of Liberty left uppercut, smashing Nia’s face back to look directly into the lights and NIA GOES OUT!!! Peeples spreadeaglesd to her back, shattered by Lucy’s leaping power--KO6  Lucy Liu.

After: Liu climbing ring ropes and celebrating wildly in he ring as Nia is scraped up off the canvas. Wild pitched battle meets all expectations as Nia hurt Liu significantly with her sharp punching and quick mitts, but Liu’s unorthodox style finally got to Nia’s chin in a big way. Doubly sweet victory for Liu as she puts Liu into a tailspin that’s starting to look like  a slump.
