The gorgeous British model, Sophie Howard, is 20 years Elle’s junior. Her debut fight was an epic 8 round TKO loss to Michelle Marsh but it was anyone’s fight up to that round. Elle has made her intentions clear, that she wants that FCBA Welter titles before she retires at 50. This is her first real fight after wins over Vissor and Hurley and an enormous task against a tough young opponent. These are the fights she will have to win if she is to fulfil her dream.

Round 1

Howard comes out fighting; pushing Elle back with powerful jabs and the veteran is on the ropes taking a lathering to the body and face. Howard pummelling the Aussie with a barrage of combinations, she’s looking to end it in the first. Elle bunched up on the ropes taking a pasting from the younger Brit, manages to fight her way off the ropes and into open spaces. Howard comes on again but Elle lands a stiff jab at distance which straightens up the Brit. Elle now advances with lightning fast sweeping hooks at the ribs. Howard arching side to side as the powerful shots have her wincing. Elle fires a quick RIGHT UPPERCUT which collects Howards chin AND DOWN SHE GOES! Howard flat on her back in the first. Rolls to the side, blinking and squinting, trying to focus as she gets up at 8. ELLE CHARGES IN, combination 8’s tapping against the brits stomach, and again. Swift uppercuts light her up at the bell and DOWN SHE GOES AGAIN!

Danni: Howard coming on strong from the beginning and looked to have Elle in trouble but she worked off the ropes nicely and that jab from the outside was right on the money.

Kylie: Howard not disgraced but the speed of MacPherson is just out of this world. 16-20 punches landed in less than a few seconds in that last exchange before the bell. Howard knocked down by speed there not power.

Danni: Yeah it is frightening how quick she is at 48.

Round 2

ALL MACPHERSON. She storms over getting Howard almost before she gets out of the corner, blasting stiff jabs right through her guard. Howard cut. Elle showing some power punching now. Ripping massive hooks into the young brits body. OH CRUNCHING RIGHT HOOK to the ribs and DOWN GOES HOWARD AGAIN! The young Brit yelping out in pain as that punch smashed into her rib cage. She bravely gets to her feet at 8. ON COMES MACPHERSON, more quick-fire jabs to the gut as Howard nails her with a RIGHT HOOK TO THE JAW and DOWN GOES MACPHERSON! Howard hook out of nowhere smacks into the Aussies jaw and now MacPherson is dizzy on the mat. Howard with a spring in her step comes in at Elle and takes up where she left off in the first, pasting Elle with shots to the stomach chest and chin but is beaten by the bell.

Kylie: Well just when I thought Elle was going to finish the fight off, she stood unguarded and copped a hook to the head. She has to be more careful than that. Showing off to the crowd and forgetting she has a job to do tonight.

Danni: Who knows where this fight is going but come one Elle, save us from 3-6.

Kylie: Impartial Danni.

Round 3

Both girls circling through the first minute, slinging jabs at each other. Elle connecting with her jab more effectively, scoring often, popping Howards head back but taking the odd one in return. Mid-way through MacPherson ups the power and speed, driving the jab through the young brits guard, Howard slips and stumbles to the neutral corner. Fires a hook at Elle but she slips it and fires one back in return that clips Howards nose and she’s stunned, Elle in and under working the body with blistering pace, I can’t see what she is throwing but Howard is taking it badly. Knees are just about gone as Elle crouches and launches into two MIGHTY UPPERCUTS to the chin and DOWN GOES HOWARD! The young brit springs to her feet like a startled gazelle, determined she can fight on an HERE COMES MACPHERSON, smacking her head left and right, with the jab, back and forth with the hook, pounding away at the young brits body. Howard buckles over and Elle bends into a MASSIVE RIGHT UPPERCUT that splits Howard’s nose up the middle and DOWN SHE GOES! It’s over! KO3 Elle “The Body” MacPherson.

Danni: Well she did it the hard way going down in the second but that is definitely what we can call Vintage Elle MacPherson.

Kylie: As I said earlier if she is going to make it in the FCBA she has to win fights like that but she needs to now take a step up in class.

Danni: NO disrespect to Sophie Howard however, she is a young brit with a huge career ahead of her. Just beaten by the experience of Australia’s greatest female fighter.

Kylie: But all the accolades must go to the Lioness Club girls tonight. Vassago and his chargers were way too good this evening, taking the series 5-4.
