BBU Stable Flyweight Tournament: Quarterfinals

Reigning BBU Flyweight champion, Michelle Keegan from Beever's Babes stable (7-6, 7 KO) begins her title defence in the quartefinals stage against Heidi Range from Lioness Club (3-0, 3 KO). Range has defeated Cheryl Cole in the preliminary stages to set up this meeting and scored a first round KO victory over Emilie de Ravin in the meantime as well, so comes in well-prepared for the challenge. The winner of this fight will meet either Tiffany Mulheron or Kara Tointon in the semifinals.

Both Keegan and Range have abused each other verbally before the fight and this promises to be a real ill-tempered contest.

Heidi Range enters the ring first and talks to the journalist:

- I'm pretty confident about this fight. Michelle is so random as a BBU champion and deserves to have the title taken away from her. I will knock her out and send back home crying!

Michelle Keegan soon joins her opponent in the ring and gives her a death stare before talking to the journalist herself:

- The only one crying in the ring will be Heidi. I will beat the crap out of her and she will regret questioning my champion status! Let's get this one started!

Round 1:

It's a lively start from the challenger as Heidi delivers a good combination to the champion's stomach and forces her back on the ropes. She goes for a follow up with a stiff jab but that crashes against Michelle's guard. Heidi remains unmoved and continues her attack with several jabs and hooks but the damage to Keegan is minimal as the champion guards well. Finally Heidi gives up on her futile efforts and allows Michelle to sidestep away from danger. Both girls are in center of the ring again where they land a number of single punches. Michelle tries a combination down low, but Heidi clinches and muscles her into the corner. She launches another attack but gets rocked by a big hook inside the final seconds. The round ends and Heidi made the better impression of the two.

Round 2:

Champion Keegan keeps waiting for Range to launch an attack and the blonde quickly jumps from her corner to make it happen. She lands a nasty hook on Michelle's head and pushes her into the corner. More solid punches finally make Keegan moan in discomfort and Heidi is really giving the champion a hard treatment. Michelle leans on her rival and peppers Heidi's ribs in the clinch as she tries to muscle herself away from the danger zone. She manages to do so and literally shoves Range to center of the ring. Heidi is upset and wants to regain control as soon as possible but is unable to land any solid punches as Keegan is very quick on her feet and keeps the distance using a slightly longer reach to make her jabs land on he blonde's arms and body.

Round 3:

Heidi still comes forward and lands a strong hook to Michelle's jaw, but the champion ducks low and delivers a flurry of punches to Range's stomach which catch the blonde off-guard. Heidi jumps back but is pinned along the ropes as Keegan suddenly unleashes some lethal blows to side of the blonde's head and makes her suffer. Range's knees are getting soft as she tries to move herself away from danger, but Michelle pounds her mercilessly and only allows her to sidestep into the corner. Michelle traps Heidi in the corner and is turning her stomach into a mush in matter of seconds. With one minute remaining on the clock, Heidi's legs finally give way and she slumps on her knees in the corner. Referee is there to start the count and Range gets up at seven but looks seriously second-handed. Michelle smiles back at her but refuses to finish off the wounded opponent in this round.

Round 4:

The previous round has created a big hole in Heidi's confidence as she abandons her attacking approach and waits for Michelle - who has shown flashes of her champion's skills instead - to make her move. Indeed the brunette seems to have dropped her patient style of boxing from the opening rounds and now begins to step in on the blonde. A nice combination to the stomach rocks Heidi again and a great stiff jab sends her firmly on the ropes. Michelle doesn't waste much time and jumps straight in front of her opponent and continues to pound her with several big jabs and hooks. Heidi covers up along the ropes, bends forward and looks just to survive this onslaught. She is clearly outmatched by Keegan who punches her at will and finally the blonde can't take it anymore and goes down on her knees again! Referee counts her to eight and allows her to rejoin the fight, but Heidi's face looks very red and sore as a consequence of all the punches she's taken from the brunette. Michelle continues her attack and breaks Heidi's guard time and time again and the fight is very one-sided in this round. Being aware of her advantage Keegan steps back and allows her rival to move forward to center of the ring. But Heidi looks very beaten up already and refuses to punch Michelle and just stares at her with very scared looking eyes. Keegan circles around her rival like vulture around a prey but the bell breaks this show and forces another round.

Round 5:

Heidi was waiving her gloves in the corner during the interval and looked very likely to quit there and then, but she comes out for round five. Michelle quickly jumps from her stool and looks to finish the aching blonde for good this time around. Heidi manages to land a couple of jabs early on, but Keegan squares up to her immediately afterwards and delivers a massive uppercut that sends the blonde flying on the ropes. Heidi barely has time to raise her guard when Michelle lands another big hook to side of the head. It's painful even to watch as Michelle is pummelling her opponent around the ring in full destruction mode. A couple more big hooks send Heidi left and right all over the place before another unanswered jab to the stomach send her crashing down the canvas. Range's eyes are closed and she's almost knocked out cold. Referee doesn't even bother to count her out and calls this fight a day!!! Brutal TKO victory Michelle Keegan R5!!!

Michelle accepts the manner of her victory with a big smile on her face as she watches her fallen opponent trying to crawl her way back into the stool. Heidi's face is all red, sore and swollen as Michelle brutally punched her out in merciless fashion. She doesn't even bother to look at the champion giving an interview in the middle of the ring. Meanwhile Keegan talks about her success:

- I knew there were a lot of people doubting my championship status. Heidi Range was one of them and she got roughed up by me, don't you all think? I promised to beat the stuffing out of her and that's what I did. I think my chances of retaining the title are pretty good although I expect Gemma Merna to be my biggest challenger. This being said, Kara Tointon knocked her out recently, so I need to look out for all these wannabes hunting down my crown. One down, two more to go.

Final result: Michelle Keegan def. Heidi Range TKO5.
