BBU BANTAMWEIGHT TITLE BOUT

Irish singer Una is the title holder, and she is delighted to be facing the popular English singer and TV personality Alesha Dixon in the final of this tournament, supremely confident that she can retain her title in style, by knocking the older girl out. Alesha is equally sure that she will win, predicting that she will stop Una by the end of the fifth round.

As challenger, Alesha is first into the ring, and she’s wearing a sexy black bra and panties set tonight, looking wonderful as ever, soon joined by Una in her green bikini, who loses little by comparison.

Round 1

As expected, the opening seconds are frenetic, with both girls quick to let the other have a taste of their punches, and Alesha rocks Una with a good straight left to the mouth, then turns her sideways with a right hook, and the champion’s wobbling – this could be over very quickly! Alesha hits Una in the face again with her left, then her right, and Healy’s down, her expression one of shock. The champion’s on her feet at 5, but Alesha’s swarming all over her now, thumping her face with either glove, the Irish girl forced to clinch and hold to avoid a second knockdown.

Round 2

Alesha is still keen to take Una out early, but the champion is ready for her this time, working on the older girl’s body from the start, working her around the ring well, then taking her to the ropes, where she expects to knock the fight out of her, but Dixon’s too good for that, and she fights back, hard. Alesha lands two swift punches to Una’s face, turns the girl around, and now the champion’s on the ropes, taking punishment to her face, which is getting pretty red now, and she clinches hard, pulling Dixon in close and stifling her, frustrating her until the bell, then tapping her face in a playful manner, which clearly annoys the challenger.

Round 3

The red mist has not cleared for Alesha during the interval, and she rushes out of her corner, wanting to hurt Una – but she’s careless and clumsy, and the Irish girl just picks her off, thudding some lovely shots into Alesha’s face, then switching downstairs, she hurts the English girl with five unanswered punches to the body. Dixon has lost the plot, swings again, and gets absolutely nailed by Una Healy’s left hook, which cracks into her mouth and drops her on her back on the canvas. Alesha is up at 7, but she is disturbed, gets hit again to the body, those punches taking their toll on her, rolls to the ropes as the round enters the final seconds, then eats another left hook, hitting the floor again – the bell ends the round, but the count goes on, and Dixon is on her feet at 8, lucky that Una can’t get back at her just yet.

Round 4

Alesha is still a little groggy as the round starts, and Una pounces, getting some more good punches into the older girl’s body again, sensing that she is weakening, with Dixon now the girl holding on and clinching when she can. Even that tactic isn’t working brilliantly, as Healy uses her strength to work on her girl on the inside, popping good punches into her body, then, when they are broken, she catches Dixon with a cruel right hander which opens a cut under her left eye right where Jessica Schwarz cut her in the semi-final, and she works on it, too, Alesha forced to just box defensively whilst Una pops punches onto her damaged face.

Round 5

Una comes out looking for that eye again, but Alesha’s turned southpaw, and she smacks her right jab into the shocked Irish girl’s face as she finds herself outwitted by the challenger, who is protecting herself in the best possible way – taking the fight to Ms Healy. Una’s trying to get back inside Alesha’s lead, but she’s constantly in range, and her cheek and mouth are really taking a peppering from Dixon’s right glove, with a few left hooks following in as required, too. Una simply cannot fathom this change of style, and she gets caught with a right jab, left uppercut combination late in the round, which has her slumped backwards against the ropes, a good left to her belly leaving her groaning at the bell.

Round 6

Still boxing southpaw, Alesha swiftly slots into her rhythm, her right jabs beginning to bust Una’s face up a little, the champion still just not coping with the change of style. Una’s trying to slow the fight down again, trying to lock Alesha up inside, and she is beginning to work at closer quarters, then up comes Dixon’s left uppercut, and down goes Healy, sat on her ass in the corner of the ring, shaking her head to clear it. Una’s up at 6 – that wasn’t the cleanest punch ever thrown, but it has fattened her lips up, and Dixon looks to dominate the younger girl now, only to get cuffed hard to the body, doubling her over with two shots to the belly, then drilling a punch onto that damaged eye, reopening the cut, and the challenger’s hurting by the bell.

Round 7

Una starts the round brightly, but Alesha hurts her with a left hook to the ear, which has her staggering to the ropes, following up nicely when she gets her there, and she pats her face to and fro a little, moves to switch to the body, but gets caught to the eye again, turned, and belted to the ribs. Alesha clinches, pulls Una around, then stuns her with two right jabs, peppers her tits with a couple of lefts, then pushes the champion back to the ropes, where the girl just defends herself while Dixon goes for the win, using a lot of energy, though, and too many punches getting blocked.

Round 8

Both girls are blowing hard, but Alesha is landing the crisper punches in the first part of the round, now looking content to box Una rather than blast her. Healy takes the chance to catch her breath, letting Dixon do all the work, occupying the centre of the ring and biding her time, waiting for the challenger to get in close again, then when she does, she thuds a couple of good left hooks into that ribcage, makes Alesha grunt and groan, forcing her challenger to drop her guard, then she peppers her face with a few good shots, that cut eye a bit of a mess now, and Dixon’s quivering, but clinches and holds, hanging onto the champ, and pushing her around laying on her, almost making the younger girl carry her around the ring. After the referee hauls the girls apart, Una clips Alesha across the mouth with a nice right hook, and she’s looking shabby at the bell.

Round 9

Una piles into Alesha from the bell, pummelling the older singer’s ribcage, but she’s holding and clinching again, and Healy is struggling to shrug her off, needing the referee to intervene time and again, with the fans growing restless at Alesha’s negativity. Una is frustrated, but keeps coming forwards, and she lands well to Alesha’s face more as the round progresses – the girl’s face is looking really quite swollen, but she isn’t getting hurt by what the champion’s throwing at this stage, and starts fighting back as the round enters the final few seconds, her right jabs once again finding Una’s face – the champion may have done enough to take the round, but she ends it on the ropes, her opponent beating her with both fists.

Round 10

Neither girl can be sure of victory, as this fight is close, and Una starts the round well, tucking into Alesha’s body, forcing the challenger back, then she lands a good right hook on Dixon’s eye, and the challenger is starting to buckle, on the ropes, gloves upside her bleeding face, as Una hits her in the belly, and Dixon’s holding again. The referee pulls the girls apart, and they trade shots in the centre of the ring, each letting the other have it with all they’ve got left, and it’s Una Healy who starts to crack! Alesha rocks her with that solid right jab, sending her staggering backwards, and she follows her, lands to the mouth again with her right, to the body with her left, then she left hooks the girl’s mouth, and Healy goes down again, on her back at first, the rolling over and hauling herself to her feet at 8. She kind of nods at Alesha, who jabs the younger girl again with her right, and again, pushing her around the ring – Una fights back late on, but she hasn’t got much left, and the girls embrace when the bell ends the fight.

The result is down to the judges, and it’s unanimous, although close on all three cards – Alesha Dixon has won on points, and is the new BBU Bantamweight champion.

The Beever’s Babes corner is delighted – Una has been a great champion, so for Alesha to have beaten her, especially after that gruelling semi-final against Jessica Schwarz was a great achievement. But this is a tough division in the BBU – Alesha knows that every defence she makes will be a tough fight.
