Champion Sabrina is a firm favourite to retain her title, but she must beware, as Alex Curran can punch, and as she proved against Javine Hylton, she can box, too.

Alex is first into the ring, and she looks lovely in her red bikini, setting off her blonde hair, but Sabrina is also stunning in a zebra print bikini, the girls eyeing one another from their corners.

Round 1

Sabrina starts quickly, letting the model taste her left glove really early as she jabs her firmly in the mouth, and Alex gets her head jolted back by that, then show her skills by slipping inside Sabrina’s lead and cuffing the champion to the body, neat, short hook, which touch the singer just under her tits, a painful place to be getting hit. Surprisingly, Alex gets Sabrina moving backwards as the round enters the second half, feeling she can hurt the champion given the chance, but Sabrina stands firm, takes a couple of punches to her flanks, then just tucks into Alex, smacking the model’s face one way and the other, the girl stumbling a little as she picks up a lot of punishment, unable to stop the onslaught really, and she’s on the ropes for the last twenty seconds or so of the round, her head getting knocked around like a ragdoll’s, the skin reddening nastily.

Round 2

Sabrina shows Alex no respect when the girls resume, smacking solid punches straight into the girl’s face, then half punching, half pushing, she guides the model towards those ropes again, crunching a horrid left hook into her liver, then another, the blonde squealing in pain, from which the champion hooks the girl to the mouth, first the left, then a right to the top of her head, and Alex falls to her knees, gasping and drooling. The fight resumes after an 8 count, but Sabrina doesn’t follow in as she usually might, seeming to be shaking her right glove, stabbing her left into Alex’s face, but not really gunning for the model as she normally might, allowing the girl to recover from that knockdown, and even to land a few shots to her body later on in the round.

Round 3

Alex moves well as the round starts, pursuing a defensive Sabrina around the ring, and hitting her to the body fairly easily, with the champion just fending her off with her left glove, turning her body slightly and carrying her left hand, which she seemed to hurt when hitting Curran’s head in the second round. Sabrina is clinching when she can, buying time for her sore hand, leaning on Alex and kind of hugging the model, making life awkward for her, rubbing her forehead into the blonde’s eyebrows, frustrating her and preventing her from landing any damaging punches of her own.

Round 4

Alex comes out quickly again, and she lands some nice punches in Sabrina’s face as she closes the singer down making the champion defend on the ropes, not allowing her to clinch or hold this time, looking good as she boxes her from distance. Sabrina is still shaking that right hand, but she is still able to hit Alex in the face fairly regularly with her left, even though she’s clearly taking twice as many shots as she’s landing, and she gets pounded back herself this time, with Alex stunning her as she lands a lovely straight left in her mouth – Sabrina’s lip splits open, and she frowns and almost growls as she tastes her own blood, then, ignoring the discomfort in her hand, she just tears into the pretty blonde, and hammers punches into her face from all directions, the poor girl just waving her arms around in futile defence, finding herself on the floor again after taking a really hard left hook to the mouth. Alex is back on her feet at 8, but she’s looking to her corner – they can’t help her keep Sabrina away – and she gets a right beating as she cowers on the ropes, ending the round dazed and confused, her face gradually changing colour and shape.

Round 5

Barely able to stand, Alex gets hurt immediately with a left hook to the body, the Sabrina jerks her head back with a straight left to her mouth, knocking her down again with a left to the cheek, Bravely, the battered Alex Curran gets back to her feet once more, but the referee won’t let her take any more – he stops the fight right there.

Sabrina Washington stopped Alex Curran in round 5 to retain the BBU Welterweight title.

Alex emerged from the fight with some credit, but she was pretty much beaten up by a one armed girl, and Sabrina’s right hand is very swollen from her mis-timed punch to the top of the model’s head.
