Sayuki has come to the UK as part of a group of Japanese glamour models (known as gravure models in Japan) and actresses who are considering an entry into celebrity boxing. They are the guests of BBU in Cardiff, and a few of them are watching the British girls training, with Sayuki particularly interested in Lisa Maffia, who is sparring with the unmanaged Eve Myles, with the actress giving the former BBU lightweight champion a good workout.

Sayuki is smiling, and speaks quietly to her manager after watching the session, and Lisa frowns at them from the ring,

“What’s she saying about me?”

The manager laughs,

“She’s telling me she could knock you out very easily – I agree!”

Still scowling, Lisa spits into a bucket,

“Be here tomorrow evening at 8, and let’s find out!”

The man grins, and speaks to Sayuki, who stands and nods, as he replies,

“Agreed! Be ready”

This fight has been hastily arranged, and there has been no time to arrange any publicity, so the small arena at BBU HQ is to be used, seating around 100 people, mostly BBU girls and officials, plus the Japanese contingent.

Already the mutual loathing is clear as the blue leather bikini’d Lisa steps into the ring, her looks impressing the Brits as usual, but not the Japanese, who await their favourite girl, Sayuki, who soon emerges, dressed in a black bra and panties set. Lisa is a quality fighter, so Sayuki will soon discover if her challenge was a good idea.

Round 1

Quick out of her corner, Sayuki is straight into action, throwing big, looping hooks at Lisa’s face, and the Brit is feeling their full force in the first minute, getting caught with a ripping left hook which sends her gumshield spinning from her mouth, then a straight right to the eye which has her head popped back – the referee does her a favour by calling time out to retrieve her gumshield and replace it, after which Lisa lands to Sayuki’s body with two neat hooks, which makes her pause, scowl, then punch Lisa once, twice, three times in the face with her right hand, and the Brit is down, on her back and taking a count of 6. Back on her feet, Lisa now takes more punishment to her face, tries to clinch, then gets belted hard to the body for her trouble, and she’s glad to hear the bell.

Round 2

Sayuki is slightly slower into the action in the second, and Lisa cuffs her to the face with a couple of left jabs, closes in to land a following right hand – and gets a mouthful of leather as the Japanese girl just hammers punches into her face, left hooks causing the singer a lot of difficulty as they simply crash into her jaw and cheek, and she goes down again, her knees on the floor as she takes an 8 count. Although she gets back to her feet, Lisa is by no means happy, and Sayuki hurts her with a lovely left hook to the body, follows it with a right, and another, leaving Lisa gasping and vulnerable, and the actress takes full toll on her, smashing two right hooks into her unprotected face, putting her back on the floor, and cutting her cheek into the bargain. Sayuki stands over the prostrate Lisa, motioning her to get up, and there’s chaos in the ring, with the referee refusing to start his count until she retreats, all of which gives Lisa time to recover – she’s up at 7, but was probably down for twenty seconds at least. The round is almost over, but Sayuki has enough time to drill a left punch straight between Lisa’s gloves into her nose, which spurts blood immediately.

Round 3

Swollen-faced and bleeding, the damaged Lisa is soon getting beaten up again, with Sayuki crunching punches into her face. Lisa slumps against her tormenter, who thumps her in the belly, half pulls her away from the ropes, thumps her in the belly again, and a third time, the girl pretty much out on her feet, then up rips Sayuki’s left uppercut, landing whack in her mouth and nose, and Maffia’s face-down and out, totally lifeless.

The arena is hushed, save for the applause from the Japanese girls and minders. Sayuki just destroyed Lisa in the ring, and she’s going to take a lot of patching up.
