WILDETIME BOXING VS GARNET GUNNERS UK

Georgie Thompson commentates on this first fight:

These girls look to be fairly well matched, and both are making their BBU debuts in this high profile event. I know that Charlotte Jackson speaks very highly of Layla, and predicts a big future for her stablemate.

Here they come, and it’s the Australian Havana out first, the blonde musician looking real good in her black bikini, and here comes Layla, the popular British TV star looking cool, confident and up for the fight in her white bikini, emphasising her tanned body.

The girls are sneering at each other as they receive their instructions, but this looks like false animosity to me – let’s see:

Round 1

Off we go, and the girls are both sitting tight here, faces well guarded by their gloves, not making many moves as yet. Layla stabs out her jab – blocked by Havana. Havana pumps her jab out – blocked by Layla. Havana jabs again – ah – making contact, and Layla backs off, with the blonde picking at her a bit, snapping the quicker punches off, and the Brit’s shaking her head – that didn’t hurt, she’s saying – but her face tells a different story – nice right hand from Havana, smacking the brunette’s mouth, and she’s hurt by that – Layla’s on the ropes her, gets caught again with Havana’s right hook, smack in the mouth – she’s down – Layla’s down in the opening round and taking a count of 7, and she doesn’t look great as the Australian hits her to the body when she rises, doesn’t have the experience to keep the blonde off her, and she’s taking a beating right now, lucky not to hit the deck again before the bell.

Round 2

Layla’s being evasive now, keeping away from Havana, on her toes, flicking out the occasional jab, but very much pedalling her bike around the ring. The blonde doesn’t like it, but what can she do? Every time she gets in to thump Layla, the Brit’s not there any more, and she’s getting frustrated – ah diving in there, she got clipped herself. Havana needs to be careful, and Layla’s hit her again as she recovers, but the Brit isn’t getting in too close, just keeping herself moving, keeping out of range – defensive stuff, but doing enough when she does come in, and that’s her round, I’d say.

Round 3

Again we’ve got Layla stepping round the ring carefully, with Havana chasing after her, the brunette never really standing still long enough to trade punches. But Havana’s closing the girl down – she’s doing a good job, and she’s got Layla having to defend herself statically now, and that gives her the chance she wants – she’s finding the Brit’s body with hard punches, and that slows the girl down a bit I have to say. Yeah, Layla took some stick from the blonde there, and she’s getting a bit more, right in the Aussie’s corner, - good shot, darling! Havana really hit Layla with that straight left, and the Brit’s hanging onto her in there, but – ooh – nice uppercut from Havana on the break, and that’s the bell – good round for Australia that time.

Round 4

Havana knows she can hurt Layla, and she’s brimming now, really up for this round – Layla knows it, too, but she’s not keen on this – Havana’s got her closed down really quickly this time, and that jab’s skimming off her face again and again, the Brit looking a little stunned. Right hook to the body there – that hurt Layla lots, and she’s in trouble! Lots of it, with Havana now just laying into her – got her! – Looping right hook from the blonde has Layla on her back, and she’s not moving, the girl’s out of here.

Havana Brown knocked Layla Kayleigh out in round 4.

What did that tell us? Told me that Havana Brown could be a helluva good boxer, but I’d like to see what she does against a more experienced opponent next time – we don’t know if Layla’s any good, really.
