BEFORE: Combination-punching models rarer than hen's teeth...but has Lima learned the secret? "It's true," Adriana claims in prefight. "Everyone has seen my youtube video: I punch in combination now! It will make me the dominant woman in the space, and Upton will be first to feel my weight!" Kate rolling her eyes...call her skeptical. "Whatever," Upton dismisses. "Lima could hit me with a thousand punches - it only takes one of mine to stop a riot. I'm putting Ady to sleep and moving up the food chain. Lima's here to feed my record, and baby: I am HUNGRY!" Kate in orange bikini with white diamond pattern; white gloves; blonde hair loose, tangly. Lima in maroon string bikini; hair slicked back in "I'm serious" high ponytail; black gloves. Weigh-in the usual gong-show, with models scrutinizing each other on the scales - Lima tut-tutting and wagging a finger at Kate's belly 6 weeks out from the fight, nearly precipitating a brawl in the process.

During R1: Lima quickly to center-ring - dukes up, palms out: she's jab-jabbing from this configuration - ducking her head - then coming up right/left/right in uppercutting-combination. Upton buffetted early, but legging back to reorganize: blonde snarling, baring her teeth, looking to paw the left and bring the right heavily onto Lima's chin. Good two-way flow - Kate's heavier blows answering Lima's higher volume. Down the stretch, deliberately placed, thumping, single-shot blonde right hands pound brunette jugs and face...Lima stepping back each time she's smote.

R2: Kate the more rudimentary fighter, but her will and heavy hands proving decisive... she's pawing left/pouring-in righty - smashing away at Adriana up the middle. Lima pursing her lips, rolling her shoulders and chugging away hup-hup-hup in spots - good pounding contact sends blonde jugs a-jumpin', but Upton responding with Swanepoel-like ferocity. Kate's crashing rights devastating Lima's jugs, punching back her face, and occasionally slamming into her belly...blonde girl just leaning in and driving home, driving brunette before her. All adds up in Adriana's legs... she absorbs a spanking right across her sternum late...turns to her right, hugs her gut and goes to her knees, face-stricken. Upton prancing hands-high in celebration... she's a delighted blonde girl through 2.

R3: Kate keeps plowing-in righty... Lima's starting to give way. Upton stepping-to, driving Lima before her...hard right cross on the chin turns Adriana a quarter turn to her right, puts her wobbly butt...and she's down! Delayed action clout sees Adriana ease herself to all fours, Upton hooting in derision as ref's pushing her away. Lima all plucky and brave, taking a swaying 8, but Kate quickly upon her at ropes. Blonde girl snarling - curls in her eyes, teeth bared as she sets about pushing Adriana into ropes, then walloping her proper. Thick, hateful pounding administered blonde to brunette: Lima weeping into her mitts as she forms face-in-gloves, taking a vicious whacking about her hips and flanks. Upton working so hard that she'll frequently stand in front of Lima hands on hips, catching her breath as Adriana sits in ropes, covering her face and waiting for the next assault!

R4: Lima shows spirit - blinking away tears and sticking to her game plan. Pokey jab from the high guard/palm-out configuration chipping away at Upton's cheeks, startling her a little - brunette's able to duck in close, come up chugging and beat Upton's breasts right/left/right. Kate retreating early, having trouble finding punching-stance... Lima's volume pressure finally starting to disorganize her blonde. Kate finally rights herself late, pouring in those long, thudding right hands to Lima's chest and midsection to reject further brunette encroachment... blonde able to stabilize her front, force a stalemate in the fourth.

R5: Lima with that chippy-pokey jab gets Upton onto her heels: Adriana finally straightens out her right hand, slashing it across Katie's chin to get her stumbling backwards. Upton stung, curls in her eyes as she rallies...while she's loading up righty, Lima's jabbing blonde mouth; packing a tuff right hand into gut; shoving the left hand into gut - doubling blonde-girl over and backing her up! Lima walking Kate down: jab punches Katie's mouth, startling her; hook-off-the-jab turns Katie's chin; shoveling right to pit of Katie's stomach bunches her up; torso-dip-to-the-left gives Lima an angle - she fits the left in behind Kate's right elbow and BLONDE GIRL DOWN! Kate whining on all fours, hurt in her body: Lima bats mitts together while gazing down all superior, then strutting to neutral corner. Katie up for sniveling 8: Lima right back to business as blonde girl looks to brawl. Trade in swinging rights goes Lima's way as Kate's head swivels side to side, her own right missing: left hook humbles Kate's jugs; curling right carves across her tummy; Lima reloads, fits a compact right uppercut to Kate's chin and BLONDE GIRL HURT! Upton lurching forward, throwing arms around Lima's neck...Adriana spinning counter-clockwise, turning Kate and throwing her off! Upton staggers into ropes all jugs a-jumpin'... she rights herself, extends her arms to hold Lima off, but Adriana comes CRASHING in over the top righty! Head-swivel Kate Upton and DOWN GOES KATIE! Upton's legs fail - she spills onto left side, rolling onto her belly along apron... furious Jeri Ryan right there at ringside, slamming her right palm on apron inches from Kate's sleeping face while shouting "GET! UP!" Upton out for 10: KO5 Adriana Lima!

After: Lima battered, down twice herself...her pluckiest-ever effort denies a favoured blonde and puts Adriana back on the map. "I told you," Lima shouts in postfight, "I yam DOMINANT! Kate tried to boss me, but I would not have it from her. And now I take what is mine!" Lima pushes her way past the cameras, pulls a weeping/groggy Katie off her stool, slides the right arm around trembling blonde waist and pulls Upton out for the walk of shame! Adriana grinning fiercely, waving with left hand - or occasionally grabbing sleepy Katie by the chin and kissing her roughly on left cheek...poor Upton in a fog, blubbering miserably as she's pulled around and posed... Adriana milking every second of her greatest in-ring triumph to date.
