Despite coming off two tough losses to former bantamweight champion Una Healy and the highly-touted Imogen Thomas, Foxfire Atlantics' Leilani Dowding rates her chances high against Lioness Club's Keisha Buchanan. Dowding has fought twice against Lioness opposition already and defeated both Pilar Rubio and more impressively Melanie Brown. She's confident of keeping her perfect record against the North London-based stable.

On the other hand Keisha Buchanan has lost both her previous fights, against Liz McClarnon and Kym Marsh and comes in with much more reserved attitude than her rival. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:

Dowding wastes little time and moves on her rival, throwing hooks to the head which force Buchanan to jump away almost immediately. Leiliani continues to move forward, but Keisha covers up well and blocks most of the punches. Leilani tries to land some low jabs to the ribs, but Keisha clinches her and both girls struggle with each other in center of the ring. Keisha manages to push the older girl away and lands a nasty hook on the cheek as Leilani's head snaps backwards. She jumps away into safety as Buchanan wasn't quick enough with any kind of follow-up. Both girls circle around each other and fake some punches before Keisha finally tries to move in and throws single jabs to the chest, but Leilani easily weaves away from danger and keeps the younger opponent at distance until the bell.

Round 2:

Leilani steps in and lands a jabbing sequence on Keisha's midsection who responds with a big right hook to the side of the head. Dowding gets rocked on her feet but bends down just in time to avoid Buchanan's flying hook. They crash into each other and Keisha tries to lace her rival in the back before the ref separates them for good. Keisha jabbing more confidently, tries to push Dowding to the ropes, but the Foxfire girl stands up to the challenge, blocks off her punches and responds with a nasty hook to the ribs. Keisha closes the distance and barely misses a vicious hook to the jaw as Leilani nails her in the ear in response. Both girls clinch again and Keisha tries to drag her rival down before landing some quick jabs to the ribs. Leilani pushes her away and unleashes a combination to the head, but it's Buchanan's time to circle around the ropes now and keep the distance as she avoids those shots.

Round 3:

Still not much between these two and both come forward with Leilani ripping a nasty hook to the cheek and following up with a jabbing combo to the boobs. Keisha rocked for a moment responds with a wayward stiff jab and that grazes off Dowding's nose as the older girl was somewhat unprepared for this shot. She barrages Buchanan with a flurry of punches to the ribs and chest, but Keisha clinches her and stops the brief onslaught. Leilani leans on her and pushes along the ropes where she continues to make a mush out of the younger girl's stomach. Keisha moans in pain, but catches Leilani in the ear with a couple of vicious jabs. However it's Dowding in control now, she thumps her rival in the guts one too many times and down goes Buchanan on her knees, holding her tummy in visible discomfort! Ref starts the count but Keisha gets up at five and although she's breathing heavily and covering her stomach, she looks otherwise OK to continue. Leilani with a big smile in the other corner, lashes out at her wounded rival immediately after the command and Keisha weaves around the ropes to avoid any close encounters. Leilani traps her in the corner though and unloads a vicious attack to the midsection, Buchanan bends down and tries to clinch, but gets laced in the mouth as the older girl punishes her without much sympathy. Keisha stays upright though and is eventually saved by the bell, but this was a big round for her opponent.

Round 4:

Bout has swung in Dowding's favor and she tries to take full advantage in the fourth. She peppers Buchanan with a jabbing sequence early on and dances around her with more fancy shots coming from both sides. Buchanan reverts to strong defence, covers up, tries to weave around her opponent's punches, but gets hit time and time again, allthough mostly on the arms and body as she protects her head well. Leilani not getting carried away, metodically works Keisha over and even teases her to come up with a response on her own. Buchanan throws only single jabs though and they are easily blocked off before Leilani lands more quick shots to the stomach, taking the steam out of Keisha's lungs. Late in the round Leilani catches her in the head twice and pushes to the ropes where she pounds her viciously and Buchanan's legs start to really give way now. Dowding merrily jumps around her and nails her twice in the guts again and at the bell Keisha is almost on her backside, looking very bleak.

Round 5:

Leilani in much better shape, continues with her methodical onslaught. She doesn't allow Buchanan to keep the distance and closes on her immediately before firing nasty hooks to the ribs and a big uppercut to the jaw. Keisha's guard barely withstood those punches but Leilani pushes her to the ropes and unloads more quick jabs to the midsection. Buchanan in total agony by the ropes, tries to lean on her rival and clinch, but gets nailed in the mouth for her trouble. She moans in pain and Leilani just pummels the stuffing out of her with more sharp jabs to the guts. Keisha loses her footing and can't prevent a big left hook catching her in the cheek. Down goes Buchanan in the corner!!! Ref steps in and Keisha climbs to her feet using the ropes, but she looks in total disarray. She nods her head to the man in charge, but the spark is gone from her eyes. She's allowed to continue, but Leilani pours on her with another jabbing sequnce to the midsection that pushes her to the ropes. The final thirty seconds of the round is all about Dowding who lands a plethora of unanswered punches and has forced Keisha to slide half-way down the corner post in agony. She keeps her guard, but it's all one-way traffic and the question is whether she can make it back for the sixth?

Round 6:

Brave girl, Keisha! She comes out of her corner despite spending most of the interval sobbing in pain on her stool. Leilani is plain ruthless though, she rocks the younger girl's head with a nasty left hook and sends a couple of more jabs to the stomach. Buchanan slow in all areas, can't do nothing about Dowding beating her up senseless! Same old story, Leilani easily pushes her to the ropes and mounts another attack, Keisha's guard finally gets torn to pieces with a nasty combo to the head and alltough she tries to lean on Dowding, she's awfully slow and before she can do anything, Leilani nails her in the nose twice! The Foxfire girl tries to follow it up with another hook to the face but here comes the ref and drags the hapless Keisha onto her corner

Post-fight:

Leilani Dowding goes 3 for 3 against the Lioness Club opposition as she delivered an impressive beatdown over the lacklustre Keisha Buchanan. Things were pretty even in the early stages, but ever since round three, Dowding took control and mercilessly wrecked her opponent to pieces. Buchanan was down twice and never looked like a winner ever since hitting the deck for the first time and could have easily quit on her stool before the sixth.

Final result: Leilani Dowding def. Keisha Buchanan TKO6.
