Sarah: Great match up this one. Two of the sexiest swimsuit models of their time going head to head. Emily the greatest AWUBA Super Feather of all time, Nicky up there with the best Feathers. Emily with the height and reach advantage, you’ve lost your last two AWUBA fights by KO, any last minute comments?

Emily: Not really. We’ve got history and it will be nice to get the bragging rights after this one is finished.

Sarah: And Nicky, you lost your chance at a title shot when you were beaten by Felicity Urquhart last month and then more recently were brutally knocked out by Kate Ritchie, how do you see this panning out?

Nicky: Katie got lucky. I’m still at the top of my game and as Emily said, she took the words right out of my mouth, there’s a score to settle tonight.

Sarah: I think we are in for a real treat here girls.

Round 1

Girls meet in the middle, Scott very aggressive to start, working Whelan’s torso which is there for the taking. Whelan stays put, taking the shots well on hard abs, but Scott is coming on too strong. Whelan folding forward under the pressure, covering up taking a pasting to the gut. Crunching right hands whack against her ribs, Whelan returning fire now as Scott continues the tummy torment but she is now taking shots at the head and backing away. Whelan following her and placing the jab precisely on her chin. She’s dominated the middle minute. Two tired girls take a breather through the final minute as they circle each other and take a well-earned rest. The bell ends a round which Scott just takes.

Kristy: There first minute from Scott probably secured that round from her. Whelan scored well mid-way through by Emily was able to still land.

Kylie: This is exactly what I was expecting from these two. They are so evenly matched.

Round 2

Emily keeps at it, this time leading with the jab up top, opening Whelan’s guard and then crouching in low and driving that jab into her tummy. She ducks the return fire and steps away, then leads the jab and goes downstairs. Whelan out boxed, Emily to evasive, making Whelan miss and then banging shots in at her tummy, nice little uppercut to the chin. HARD RIGHT HAND to the chin and Whelan stumbles backwards, Scott catches her with another FIESTY LEFT HOOK and Whelan spins to the neutral corner. Scott blasting a shot into Whelan’s ribs as she turns to face her foe, wincing in pain and dropping her right hand, another HARD LEFT HOOK against Whelan’s cheek and her legs give way. Scott banging away with digging shots into her ribcage and Whelan’s winded, mouth agape and mouth guard slips out. BLISTERING RIGHT UPPERCUT from Scott and A TIGHT RIGHT HOOK to the jaw and Whelan’s out on her feet, head being bashed around and the Ref steps in, it’s over! TKO2 Emily Scott!

Kylie: Well we haven’t seen this very much tonight. Emily Scott just demolishing Nicky Whelan in much the same vain as the Gleave Watts fight.

Kristy: She was simply too much for Nicky Whelan, enough said.

Sarah: News just in guys, Nicky is nursing a broken jaw so the fight would have ended anyway but regardless, what a win Emily Scott.

Emily: Yeah, I‘m kind of surprised by the way that went as Nicky is normally the aggressor. The plan was to take it to her and try and beat her at her own game but I didn’t expect it to be that easy.

Sarah: When did you sense you had her?

Emily: Immediately after that right hand to the chin. There wasn’t much behind the punch but you could see it in her eyes that there was nothing there. The thing with Nicky is she is impossible to knock down early, you’ve got to wear her down. I just wanted to stop it because I didn’t want a long fight.

Sarah: And stop her you did, well do. We can’t get a word from Nicky Whelan as she has been carted off due to that broken jaw.
