Sarah: I’ll tell you what. I am looking forward to this one. Australia’s Top Model Host Sarah Murdoch taking on the veteran soap actress Kimberley Davies. It pains me to say it, but Kimberley is an AWUBA Hall of Famer and one of the very few to win titles across three divisions. I am pleased to say that Sarah tops her, 6th all-time greatest, Hall of Famer, and the greatest middleweight of all time. In my opinion, it’s hard to see Kimberley getting close to Sarah tonight.

Sarah, 43 titles in the AWUBA middleweight division. Coming up against Kimberley who was bashed by Sabrina Washington. You’re coming off a good win in the BBU over the struggling Sophie Howard. This should be a walk in the park tonight.

Murdoch: Sometimes as a reporter you have to put your indifferences aside Sarah. Kimberley Davies is one of the most formidable opponents I have ever fought and tonight will be no different.

Sarah: And b###h face….

Kimberley: Excuse me?

Sarah: Sorry, Kimberley, any comments?

Kimberley: I may have lost a Title fight to Washington but I am coming off an 8th Round KO of Wunmi Mosaku, and I am feeling very confident coming into this tonight.

Sarah: Yes, well, a victory over some no name Japanese girl is sure to prepare you for the punishment you are going to receive tonight.

Round 1

The taller Murdoch on the attack, using her reach to put the jab in Davies face. Davies on the back foot from the outset, leaning back each time the jab comes on. Murdoch, commanding the ring, working Davies where she wants her, popping her head back with the jab. Davies ducking, weaving, hooking to the body and missing, then back off, taking glove to the guard. All Murdoch through the middle, works Davies to the ropes, hard body shots as Davies leans against the ropes, bouncing forward into jabs to Murdoch’s face, leaning back but taking a SWIPING HOOK to the cheek. Davies rattled by that shot, belted sideways, stumbles away and then spins out of the corner. Murdoch chasing, continuing to jab away upstairs. Davies is just circling the perimeter, guard nice and high, clinching when she can, trying hard to stay in the round but there’s the bell.

Kristy: It’s hard to be impartial when my best mate is fighting my head trainer and colleague. Great round from Sare, really took control right from the outset. Not what I expected to see from Kimberley. I thought we would see a far more confident attacking approach to the first round.

Kylie: That hook was spot on. You could see Kimbo trying really hard keep Sarah at bay. I’m with you Kristy. I want to see the brawler of old.

Round 2

Murdoch on the attack again, quicker movement this time, more jabbing, more punches hitting Davies, she’s red faced, lips parted, backpedalling and taking hard shots. Murdoch positions her on the ropes, clubbing left hand to the ribs, Davies wincing, left and right hand to the chin, Davies punches going astray, HARD RIGHT UPPERCUT to the chin, Davies looks like she might go down, knees trembling, left jab from Murdoch puts Davies head over the top rope and a FLASHING RIGHT HOOK to the jaw sends Davies to the canvas, DOWN GOES DAVIES! Murdoch, grinning as she stands over her opponent, the ref sends her to her corner. Davies, slow to her feet, nursing a swollen and cut left eye. The fight goes on, MURDOCH CHARGES IN! Davies picks the body shot, guard low, takes it on her gloves and leans into the clinch. Pulled apart and Murdoch now works upstairs but the veteran is blocking well, ducking in and under and falling against Murdoch again. The ref pulls them apart again but Davies is just walking into Murdoch, ducking punches, pushing her back and clinching. Murdoch arms in the air as the ref pulls her off again and warns her. OH STRAIGHT JAB to the face, Davies walking into that one, head punched back, stumbles back to the ropes, MURDOCH POURS IT ON! Clubbing left and right hooks at the high Davies guard, over and over just bashing her head this way and that, taking more glove than anything but Davies is not offering a shot, Murdoch burying body shots into the Davies torso, bends her knees and launches into a BLISTERING RIGHT UPPERCUT to Davies chin and she is spread-eagled across the ropes, hard left and right jab to the bobbing head but the REF STEPS IN! It’s over! TKO2 Sarah Murdoch!

Kristy: Huge victory for Sarah Murdoch as Kimberley Davies falls into the ref’s arms and down to his feet. She was out when that uppercut crashed into her chin.

Kylie: Certainly is a big win Hinzy. As Delta said, this is a strong division and now we have Sarah Murdoch knocking on the door for a title shot as well. Let’s who has her name sake with her.

Sarah: YOU’RE NOTHING DAVIES, YOUR NOTHING! SUCKED IN!

Kylie: (off mic: Cumming, you’re on!)

Sarah: Oh thanks Kylie and what a sensational senseless beating of the old veteran has been Kimberley Davies…..run us through it Sarah.

Murdoch: Not much to say really. I decided to take charge because she likes to brawl and that was what I was expecting. I can only assume she was a little tired after her last fight and she sat back in the pocket so I took my chances and got the result.

Sarah: Great win Sarah. We can’t talk to Kimberley because she is still unconscious. Give me a shot at her please. I know I am only a Bantam but I want to take her down so bad.

Kimberley: YOUR ON!
