Visser making a statement by following Landry with Loken - Aussie vixen bent on becoming the best fighter in boxing, could be one win away from achieving that distinction. "A year ago," notes one BLONDE! magazine correspondent, "if you had told me Nik Visser was going to tear up the welterweight division, retire Farrel, beat up Cindy Crawford, turn back Ali Landry, then meet a former Middleweight queen for all the marbles - I'd have thrown a net over your head and sent you packing. Visser's fighting the toughest schedule in boxing and winning - you can't take anything away from her for that." Loken used to being the quicker, more athletic girl at middleweight - won't have that advantage against the svelte welter champ, but that big-girl punch will be a factor. "Absolutely," confirms a confident ex-champ, "Nikki can't hope to take my punch. And aside from that lucky Landry-buster she landed, I haven't seen Nikki punch much. I just don't see what she's going to use to keep me off her." Nikki quick to respond, citing the advantage she's likely to have in a long fight - "Loken's dropped 20 pounds of muscle to take this fight," notes a savvy champ. "I'll take the risk of her big punch early if it means I can have a drained and labouring big-girl in the second half. Rd 1: Visser cautious, using her legs, feeling Loken out - welter champ wants to see exactly what she's got in front of her. Kris moving well, stepping over to cut off the ring, spreading Nikki out the jab - bigger blonde advancing, being the boss. Visser changing directions, spinning off the ropes - she won't be pinned down, but she's not getting off - Loken with a calm, big-girl shutout as she walks Nik down, makes the fight.

Rd 2: Nik still using abrupt direction changes, trying to wrong-foot Loken - now Visser stoops to reach a jab into Kristanna's tummy. Loken calm, brushing the poke away from belly with a sweeping right - girls on their toes, using every inch of ring. End of minute one - Visser with a sudden step-in feint, gets Loken to commit her guard, then drives a chopping right in around the left wrist. Kris momentarily stunned - Nikki hops forward with a biting hook between the mitts and another crisp right on the eye - LOKEN'S HURT! Kris tottering backward, trying to keep her face behind her gloves - Nik stepping forward, letting her hands go - criss-cross lefts and rights skidding off the head, shoulders and gloves of her foe. Loken upright at the ropes, hands at her temples - Nik spanks out a brazen right/left on those flat abs, sending a shiver through Loken's sleek frame. All Nik Visser, working up and down, letting her hands go in clusters, then stepping out behind her jab to avoid the receipts. Kris shook, just blocking, soaking up strong punches like a woman confident her legs will stand no matter what.

Rd 3: Nik emboldened, jabs the forehead, goes right back to that waistline with spanking right/left action - Loken finally times her counter hook, cuffing Nik neatly on the chops. Visser won't back off, - attacking again off her jab - Loken standing in the pocket, taking on her body, but clouting Visser short hammer-drop rights or cuffing hooks out of the high guard - it's stinging tit for tat midring. Swap-meet not a good strategy for Visser - second minute sees her step out after taking a Loken hook on the temple - Nik walks to her right and legs suddenly give way with delayed reaction. Loken hopping-to soon as she sees it - bat-batting wide left rights as Visser covers up. Kris shoulder-cycling her jab in, just muscular force as she guides Visser to the ropes - pawing the jab, pawing the jab - then ROARING over the top a rocket right hand! Crowd-shocking blast on the jaw torques Visser's head - standing her bolt upright and NIKKI GOES DOWN! Visser bouncing off the ropes and sprawling - hardest punch she's ever been clocked has welterweight champ all tingly and helpless. Loken taking a moment to cavort over the prostrate queen - delaying the count as ref struggles to body the rangy challenger back - Visser's able to climb ropes to avoid the one-punch stoppage. Nikki a ruined beauty, gloves at her mouth, eyes forlorn - she takes an uncomprehending 8 and ON COMES LOKEN! Kris loving the sight of ramshackle tart on her heels - extends that left to split Nik's mitts, drives in and down with an angular right hand straight to the body, jerks up into a natural left uppercut off the front leg, picking Visser's chin up pretty. Nik limp in the ropes, guard drifting - she's a helpless beauty and LOKEN RELEASES THE HOUNDS! Kris squaring up and letting her hands go, eyes gleaming as she shoves straight lefts and rights up the middle, pounding past the remnants of Visser's defences, batting Nik's sleepy face hither and yon AND THE REF STEPS IN! Loken yelping in satisfaction as she hops away - Nik Visser protected from further torment - TKO3 for the winner and NEW welterweight champ: Kristanna Loken.

After: Loken proves a blonde too far - Visser's grasp exceeds her reach at last as the clock strikes midnight on her Cinderella reign. Visser spiking Kris, but mistaking the signs - punch that would have unhinged a welterweight and probably set up a finishing flurry not as devastating to a true middleweight. "Too big, too strong, too hot," is Kristanna's gloating assessment as Nikki's brought around on her stool, "Nikki just got in WAY over her head and I smoked her little butt!" Remains to be seen if Loken will defend the belts or treat them with middleweight disdain and trashcan them, throwing the sub140 class into chaos. "Right now, I'm thinking about Torrie Wilson," says the new champ, "You'll know the status of the unified welterweight title when I tell you."
