PARAMOUNT WELTERWEIGHT/WELTER-MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE UNIFICATION BOUT)

Title hungry welters looking to bring all belts under one roof - high risk, high reward fight. Bellucci's put together a quietly business-like run, using her size to smother quicker fighters, heavy hands to bludgeon resistance - she's a true big woman's big woman. Loken the more overtly athletic, rangier boxer/puncher - she'd like to stand off shore and shell Monica from long range all night long if she can. Monica in silver bikini, small black gloves - Loken in ivory bikini, small white gloves.

Rd 1: Workmanlike jabs, Loken: poking past Bellucci's raised guard to get at forehead, eyes, mouth, cuffing the ear out wide. Kris circling, keeping Mon out at the end of the punch - sets up a reaming right cross midway through that has Bellucci stumble-footing. Big Mon rocked, stationary, dukes at her temples - she eats a dutiful left uppercut on the mouth at the bell - Loken just setting and jerking it in textbook to complete a tidy shutout.

Rd 2: Deliberate jabbing first minute, Loken: she's drawing a line in the canvas, systematically pounding away lefts, busting up the older woman's tender brows. Monica irritated, hanging back, lifting her mitts, crossing her arms, weaving side to side - Loken has brunette pre-occupied. All leads up to a searing right cross on the teeth at the midway point - Monica sent pony-trotting again, face taut with despair at the ease Loken's able to find her chin. Sturdy final minute Mons though - she rallies, keeps the right hand at her chin and finds Kris with a series of explosive hooks as blonde gets a little carefree letting her hands go. Loken put wobbly butt, stomping backwards, then forwards as she shakes off Italian wallop - Kris doesn't recover as well as Monica during the break.

Rd 3: Loken much more tentative, uses her legs, fights behind a safety first jab this round. Bellucci, warding off blows, crossing her arms when she bends forward to weave, stepping forward - but this is frustrating stuff. American much faster, more agile - Kris using the ring - Theron influence obvious in Loken's rangy mat generalship in a breezy third.

Rds 4-5: Monica finally warmed up, imposes her will and style on Kris. Job 1: get past that jab - Monica willing to take poke to get to Loken's chest. Job 2: Get Loken's back on the ropes - Monica reaching under Krissy's arms and stepping her, muscling her in sweaty stages to the perimeter. Job 3: outwork Loken on the inside - Kris stacked up, bent forward, keeping her head close to Monicas to avoid any home run strokes. Bellucci able to shorten up stroke, pound away gut and rib on Krusher, occasionally brushing Loken back with sudden right uppercuts or cudgelling little hook/forearms inside. Classic Bellucci, pinning Kris down, smothering her, bludgeoning the arms and body in an effort to coax that chin into something huge.

Rd 6: Loken stuns Monica a long right hand at the open - important to regain respect and the distance that goes with it. Kris able to regain initiative midring after wobbling Italian backside - systematically pounding away upperchest, face and shoulders with that pulsing stick. Bellucci slow, sullen outside - she's lumping up, but she's taken Kristanna's hardest right hands and growing more comfortable as a result.

Rd 7: Monica jabbing to Loken’s chest, eating right hands and walking through them now - bad signs for Loken. Kris walked to the ropes for a smudging beat down - Bellucci hamhanded as she methodically slams away lefts and rights. Loken weary, leaning forward, hands at her temples - she's being buffetted side to side, slowing down as Bellucci goes at her subtle as a cinderblock.

Rd 8: More Bellucci walking Loken down, bodying up, and pounding away. Kris open mouthed, unable to extend on punches - she's catching Monica coming in, but after that brunette's the boss. Combination of bull strength and center of gravity working for Bellucci - she's getting underneath rangy Kris and nullifying blonde's great strength - Kris just can't get her back off the ropes. Shoving, mauling beatdown - very patient stuff from Monica - happy to bash away at shoulders and flanks whenever tummy, tits and chin aren't there.

Rd 9: Loken sucking it up, coaxing life back into her legs - she boxes out a smart, cautious ninth behind her jabs and loping lateral movement. Bellucci not great at cutting off the ring and it's costing her - she can take Loken's punch and walk her down, but Kris is able to turn her, steer her and bamboozle her to a certain extent.

Rd 10: Rousing trade early as girls check one another's chins stern right hands - nobody's budging! Loken goes to the Bellucci breadbasket with some risky but effective looping right uppercuts - blonde getting after soft European underbelly and she's got Monica backing up for the first time in the fight. Late the round, Kris shows lightweight handspeed, clip-clipping Monica's startled face a doubled up swat-slap hook, then DRIFTING her a popping short right that snaps the mouthpiece off Bellucci's teeth! Monica staggers straight back into ropes forlorn, glassy eyed - she covers up lamely as Loken storms in at the bell. Comes back UD10 for the winner and two-belt wearing vixen: Kristanna Loken!

After: Throw out Loken's fast start and Monica wins this fight, but those first three rounds give Krusher big girl the gold. "She's strong…" Kristanna admits. "…but whopper slow. She's got that wrestler's mentality in that she wants to body up and wear you down, and it works for her, but she can't handle you if you stay outside on her. I knew if I just boxed my fight, kept touching her, good things would happen. That's two, two more to go and everything will be right back where it belongs!"
