Before: It’s personal. Girls have sparred dozens of rounds at the WB, with Gellar reportedly handling Dushku in her formative years, but insiders note that Eliza had he cuffs on--producers unwilling to let the talented brunette go at the biggest star in the shop full bore. No longer the case--Dushku blossoming into one of the most well-rounded fighters in the game. Relishing the opportunity to face her nemesis on equal terms. “Its been a long time coming,” explains Eliza, “Sarah deliberately held me back and now it’s my turn to jeep her down. I’m not ashamed to say that I’m looking forward to slapping her around--she’s going to find out just how much I was letting up on her.” Remains to be seen--Gellar is still one of the best technicians in the sport--she can chisel out a decision if she can keep clear of Eliza’s hammer. Sarah in white bikini, slick ponytail, Eliza in red leather bikini bra-style top.

During R1: Mid ring, both girls hook off the jab and SARAH GOES DOWN! Buffy scooting to her butt with a look of shock as Dushku lifts her mitts and drunks in the sight. Buffy takes her 8 and girls close, get into comfortable range and start working at a brisk, professional pace. Sarah coming out of her guard with flashy 3 punch slaps to the body and jaw--Dushku blocking strong and coming back with thudding left hooks to the stomach as the girls rotate clockwise. End of the first minute, once again girls get to hooking and DOWN GOES SARAH! Exact replica of the first sit down as Gellar bounces to her backside, obviously bitterly disappointed to get muscled early. After 8, girls go shoulder to shoulder and Sarah shows her determination: she’s hurt, a little ragged, but basically going toe-to-toe with Dushku as the girls work with chopping lefts and rights to the body inside.

R2: Another minute of Eliza’s harsh work inside prompts Sarah to move more--she’s not running, still essentially flat footed, but she’s turning Dushku now, touching her with the jab from the elbow, slipping and pivoting under brunette punches and at the midway point--Sarah’s scoring some clean right hand counters off Eliza miscues. Dushku actually rocked onto her heels on occasion by the precision if not heft of these blows--Gellar comes back from a disastrous first to chalk up some gutty points.

R3: More Spadafora impressions from Sarah--she’s staying away, buttering Eliza with a constant jab, potshot ting with wide right hands to the body, coming back up top with biting hooks. Dushku unhurt by Gellar’s punches, but her disrespect is making her get hit--Eliza not cutting off the ring, not jabbing with Sarah or moving her hands--Dushku acting like she can end this fight any time she wants drops another round.

R4: Eliza does indeed turn it on at will--stepping over to take away Sarah’s lateral move, wdging stern lefts and rights in behind Gellar’s elbows to yank breathy grunts from the smaller blonde. Gellar with arms in, covered up--Dushku just working her over--palming those slender shoulders to prop Sarah up then hacking at her waist. Gellar’s legs don’t look good--she folds forward to put her head on Eliza’s chest and Dushku rocks back blonde head with a tight right uppercut. Eliza D putting ‘em together, makes it look easy and painful as Gellar goes back to her corner with a grimace.

R5: Gellar sweet early--she slips in under a Dushku right hand. Comes back with a clapping hook on the teeth to score cleanly, pivoting around her left hand as Eliza has to reset. Midway through, girls trade scorching rights that miss, girls trade lefts and SARAH IS HURT! Undone AGAIN by Dushku’s compact hook, Gellar’s legs give way and she flounders in retreat as Eliza gets big. Bad final minute for Sarah as she is punished along he ropes--she covers up, slides along trying to avoid a stoppage as Eliza keeps patiently on her.

R6: Dushku walking Sarah down, continues with that wedging hook to the body when the heads not there--Gellar bending at the waist, wincing and turning her body with punches--she’s getting all banged up. Sarah still thinking in there though--she slips Dushku’s right hand and rings the brunette up with another slinging hook on the chops, putting the straight right hand on top and DUSHKU IS HURT! Eliza staggering back a few steps to cover up as Gellar has a spot--sticking lefts and rights spank against Eliza’s taut little midriff as she folds over to accept the leather.

R7,8: Compelling two-way action. Girls stay close, but compact--this isn’t senseless brawling--they’re busy, but always looking to create with jabs or combinations. Toe-to-toe, Eliza just too strong. Time and again, Sarah will have to stop and cover as Dushku rips into her breast or tummy with those crunching hooks. When a girl has to step back and regroup, it’s always Sarah--the thick trade in close too expensive for the blonde--judges see the brunette out punching her girl, then walking her down as Gellar is banged into grudging retreat in these rounds.

R9: Sarah turns it around just like that--a rare lazy jab from Dushku and an instant Gellar right hand over the top puts Eliza wobbly butt. Sarah bouncing lefts and rights off face as Dushku goes straight back, right hand at her cheek, left hand low and suddenly blonde is helping herself. Dushku with her back to the ropes, digs in and a crowd pleasing war erupts--Sarah gambling with wide lefts and rights, setting down on punches in an attempt to get some more hurt onto the brunette--Eliza trying to clip little right uppercuts or short left hooks in between her opponent’s punches, good stuff--continues on after the bell as Sarah clangs a left, right onto Eliza’s sturdy chin.

R10: Eliza taken by surprise as Sarah paints her with volleys of jabs and straight right hands--Dushku fads to the ropes, covers up and appears to be defending herself fairly well. Wheels fall off the apple cart as Sarah stays on her girl, weaving in and out as Dushku looks a little erratic in response, making the brunette miss, then making her pay with slick right hands on the mouth--DUSHKU IS HURT! Eliza D standing lock-legged, back on the ropes, gloves at her cheeks, looks stunned as Sarahj starts to slug it up! Wide lefts and rights jerk past Eliza’s guard--brunette buffeted from mone foot to the other, but Gellar just can’t get her down. Fight spills into Dushku’s corner as Sarah continues to flail away--blonde scoring liberally with splashy lefts and rights--brunette in a stunned daze, but taking each shot like a trooper to the bell. Comes back a UD10 Eliza Dushku to scattered booing from the crowd.

After: Post fight to walk Gellar are scrapped as a woozy shiny-faced Dushku is escorted from the ring. Confusing fight even in round, 5 a piece, but Dushku’s early power the difference on all cards. Both camps claiming victory--after all--Gellar’s butt hit the canvas twice--but wasn’t Eliza out on her feet after a shackling SMG rally late? Flattest Dushku performance in quite some time--Eliza later admitting she may have been sleeping on Sarah just a bit--Gellar still too good to write off beforehand. Nevertheless, it’s a win, belt in the bag, job well done.
