FCBA Seniors (age 45+) Relative rankings as of 1-30-2012

With an economic turnaround "just over the horizon" and with the "postwar baby boom" generation now into their 60's, sponsors are seeing dollar signs in "Senior's Celebrity Boxing." There are plenty of big names available for endorsements (Betty White is leading the way) and with burgeoning 3rd and 4th tier cable TV networks desperate for any "sports programming". (It's become so bad that "Monday Night Curling" and "Florida Shuffleboard Match of the Week" telecasts are now pushing "Lingerie Football" and "Contract Bridge All-Star Masters" for spots in the Nielsen Sports Rating wars.) It's all about 'eyeballs' and nobody attracts a senior citizen's eyeballs like scantily clad "women of a certain age" beating each other senseless!

Champion: vacant

Monica Bellucci. Still a regular in the FCBA and a ranked welter.

Brooke Shields. Still active vs. younger fighters; perennial 'top ten' threat for the last 30+ years not going away yet.

Sharon Stone. Recent beatdown of Kilcher and topless beach photos prove she's still got "it".

Nicolette Sheridan. One Housewife's not desperate; she's highly credible in action in films like "Code Name: The Cleaner."

Elle MacPherson. Head trainer keeping her body/mind in fighting shape...in case someone opens the checkbook.

Daisy Fuentes. 16-19-1 lifetime against the "best of the best"...'Nuff said.

Dana Delany. Stays fit sparring on "Body of Proof" set w/co-stars Jeri Ryan and Sonja Sohn.

Marg Helgenberger. Free of "C.S.I." contractual obligations, 'Mean Marg' now fancying a fistic comeback? Not outrageous.

Mariska Hargitay. Got Mickey's punching power and Jayne's curves. Doesn't matter how well she can fight; she sells tix!

Debbe Dunning. Regular MILF apartment fighting appearances keep her on everyone's radar.

Shannon Tweed. One FCBA fight in 8 years...and she's still feared! Stays busy on cable; maybe it's her 'bionic bosom'?

Janet Jones. Lack of visibility hurts more than lack of action; keeps busy in "under the radar" charity fundraiser fights in Canada.

Virginia Madsen. She's gone the distance w/Bell and Sobieski and has a 'puncher's chance' against anyone.

Sandra Bullock. Recent nasty public divorce humiliation has her rethinking her 'retirement'.

Nicole Kidman. Staying in shape in Oz "...in case they have to 'break the glass' for an unforeseen roster emergency," she says.

Mimi Rogers. Undefeated since a 2001 loss to Cat Bell. "They're still ducking me." (At recent license reinstatement hearing.)

Rebecca DeMornay. Has heart, but not the size, to compete regularly here - but if she picks her spot can pull the odd upset.

Mariel Hemingway. Too big to ignore; too tough to dismiss. Easily capable of wearing the Senior Title ("Depends Belt") if she wants.

Madeleine Stowe. She's proven capable of staying with younger women for several rounds, why not women her own age?

Lauren Holly. Like DeMornay & Madsen she's smaller; makes up for it with ferocity as Carpenter, Trickey & Rinna proved.

Kelly Lynch. Tall blonde won 3 of 4 by KO, proving Minnesota gals are tough! Friend of Dorothy.

Pam Grier. Pam The Beast can still bash! Too popular to leave off the list, no matter what criteria you want to consider.

Lynda Carter. No longer "Wonder Woman" she can still sell tickets and (for example) Grier-Carter would sell out in hours.

Helen Mirren. Sure they drive on the 'wrong' side of the road, but the Brits know a thing or two about women fighters...and did you see her bikini photo? Yowsers! You can fill arenas on both sides of the Atlantic matching her vs. any tomato (can).

Eligible in the next year, or so:
Julia Roberts (Oct 2012)
Jeri Ryan (Feb 2013)
Jill Hennessy (Nov 2013)
