TESS VALMORE
SPEARITT/ SHAKIRA This was a good fight, if not terribly close. Spearitt built up a good lead in the first half of the fight. In the sixth, Shakira had her best round in an attempt to get Spearitt out, but was unsuccessful. From there it was down hill for Shakira. Spearitt decked her for a five count in the seventh and put her down for good in the eighth
DENNINGS/ J. JONES To say I was surprised the way this fight developed is an understatement. Jones simply gave Dennings a boxing lesson. In the first six rounds, Dennings took only the second. She came on strong in the seventh, but then dropped the eighth. Jones had the fight won, and chose to stay outside and box. Jones took the last two rounds to get the wide decision. An unexpected win for Jones and a lesson for Denning
McCUTCHEON/ PERRY The way this fight started, it looked like a bad night for Perry. McCutcheon floored her in the first and again in the second. Perry turned the fight around in the third and took the next five rounds with a fierce body attack. McCutcheon would take only the eighth as Perry walked away with a wide decision
ELLISON/ B. SPEARS Once again, this was a better fight than we expected. Like the bout that preceded it, the British girl won the first two rounds. Britney came back to take the next two and the fight was even at the end of six. The rest of the fight belonged to Spears who floored Ellison for an eight count in the eighth. The fight ended in the ninth with a Spears’ left hook that dropped Ellison for the ten count. |
