The title card event starts on a high note with the newly crowned ACB flyweight champion Penny Higgs taking on Front Street Japan's Yuu Tejima. Higgs makes her debut on European soil tonight while Tejima has one BBU fight under her belt where she lost to former champion Michelle Keegan in a split decision last November

The odds are evenly matched for this bout allthough Higgs recently left the entire Australia in a state of shock when she brutally knocked out Dannii Minogue, the best flyweight ever to come from this area of the world. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Aggressive start from the Asian who immediately throws a sequence of jabs to her rival's head and forces Higgs to sidestep even before she can launch any punch on her own. She looks stunned at this early onslaught and Tejima backs her to the ropes with ferocious jabbing. However most of Yuu's punches land on the arms and gloves of the Aussie and she's unable to hurt Penny who finally stops the rout with a couple of uppercuts that graze off Tejima's head. The Asian looks unmoved though, driving her head forwards and literally pushing Higgs off the ring and tangling her up in the ropes. Ref jumps in and Higgs shoves the Japanese away in disgust and throws a warning hook that Yuu covered before jumping back to center of the ring. Penny finally unleashes a solid combination, lacing her rival in the stomach, but Tejima counters with a hook to the head which swerves around the Aussie's guard anc catches her in the ear. Higgs stands firm, absorbing that belter and immediately leaps forward, trying to stop Yuu's follow-up and both girls tangle in middle of the ring where the ref is forced to separate them after some extensive clinching,

Round 2:
Tejima continues to come forward, throwing more jabs at Penny's head, but the ACB champion covers up well and responds with sharp hooks from mid-range. Yuu's guard fails to remain in tact and the Asian gets nailed right between her gloves and winces in pain as Penny rockets a jabbing sequence straight on the nose. Higgs follows up with couple of jabs to the midsection and allthough Yuu stays on her feet, she bends forward and covers up the face, exposing the ribcage in the proccess. Penny lands several quick, low jabs before Yuu can finally clinch her, but the Aussie shives her away before the ref can separate them and throws a flying hook to the nose. Tejima ducks low along the ropes and avoids that haymker before trying to respond with a jabbing sequence to the head herself. Penny circles around her, keeping the distance and refusing a silly charge. Yuu looks more focused now, also reverts into circling around the ring and keeping her guard high. Single punches are thrown for the remained of the round, but no further damage to each fighter is incurred.

Round 3:
More aggression from the Asian who seems comfortable with coming forward and not waiting for the Aussie's attacks. Higgs has that tactic figured out and dances around the ropes, teasing the Japanese into another charge. Tejima tries to close the distance and throws several hooks to the arms and body, but there's nothing coming through Penny's guard tonight. She drops her arms to the side and weaves back and forth, teasing Yuu to the extreme. Tejima leaps forward with another malicious attack, looking to land a haymaker to the jaw, but misses as Higgs leans herself on the ropes and responds with a nasty jabs to the ribs from both sides. Yuu moans in pain again as her guard is badly exposed and Penny punishes her with more jabs aimed at the face. Couple of solid hooks land on Tejima's mouth and her knees buckle for the first time tonight as she leans forward and looks to clinch. Higgs is having none of it though, shruhs her away and pounds again with more jabs to the head. Yuu covers up in despair, but gets pummelled along the ropes and is only saved by the bell as the ACB champ has kicked into a higher gear in the third.

Round 4:
Some concerns in the Front Street Japan corner after a bad round for their fighter and Yuu looks very careful at the start of the fourth. On the other hand Higgs with a bright smile on her face during the interval, feels she's turned the corner on this one and steps forward right after the bell, landing a couple of quick hooks around the Japanese's guard. Tejima rooted to the spot, allows the Aussie to close the distance and land more punches to the midsection. Penny well in her comfort zone, circles around the hesitant opponent, and keeps pounding her both in the head and guts. Yuu looks to respond but only grazes the Aussie's arms and gloves and is rocked with another big hook in the mouth half way through the round. She jumps away to the ropes, but Higgs harrasses her all around the ring and lands more shots to the body. Loud screams from Yuu's corner are unable to prevent their girl taking more punishment and Higgs looks to finish the job early. She traps the aching rival in the corner where Tejima can only cover up, waiting for the bell and a series of unanswered hooks to the stomach almost thump her horizontal to the ground but she survives again with Higgs totally dominant at the end of the fourth.

Round 5:
Yuu breaths heavily during the interval, her face looking more red than anything else and allthough she hasn't been knocked down yet, the last couple of rounds were all about her opponent. Indeed Penny doesn't give her any break from the bell and leaps forward inside the opening seconds, landing more punches to the face. Tejima's guard is non-existent and only her fighting spirit keeps her upright. Penny with straight jabs to the nose and that has finally drawn some blood! Yuu's nose has been busted up and she moans with every punch landing on her face. Higgs with a practice session in the fifth, keeps Tejima's head snapping back and forth all the time. The Asian's corner is dead silent now, watching their girl getting trounced. Penny pushes Yuu to the ropes again, unloading more vicious jabs to the stomach and it's too much to handle for the aching Asian who goes down on her knees holding her tummy in pain. Penny was almost surprised that she finally broke her opponent's resistance and the ref gives Yuu a six count before she's up on her feet as the Front Street Japan corner was screaming again, trying to spare themselves a humiliating loss. Tejima looks in terrible shape, but vows to continue regardless of her wounds and physical condition. Higgs rewards her for the gutsy attitude with more jabs to the face and Yuu's nose is a complete mess at the bell with Penny literally breaking it with her relentless barrage.

Round 6:
Tejima somehow makes it back for the sixth, but her face won't be appearing on any glamour magazine cover after this one's over. She tries to weather another furious charge from Higgs but the ACB champion cuts through her guard with ease and lands more jabs to the mouth. Yuu almost in kamikaze mode almost walks into a right hook that nails her in the eye. Down goes Tejima flat on her back with her eyes closed! Ref starts the count and Yuu is on the verge of another miracle escape as she opens her eyes at four and scrambles back to her knees at seven before retrieving upright at nine. Unbelievable courage and spirit from the Asian, but no, referee spoils all the fun and calls it a day after looking into her eyes. TKO R6 Penny Higgs!!!

Yuu bows down to the referee and heads back to her corner where's she's consoled at first but the cutmen are already working on her wounds before the verdict is announced. Her nose took a tremendous pasting and medics are on hand to check whether it's not broken.

Post fight:
As the medics still attend Yuu Tejima, Penny Higgs encourages the crowd to get louder and cheer on her victory. Not many people knew who exactly she was but an impressive win to start the card has never hurt anyone and Higgs enjoys her moment in the spotlight. After a tentative start, she fully exposed Tejima's poor defense and dominated for most of the fight, eventually winning not through sheer brutality but ovewhelming confidence in execution.

Higgs' emphatic win over AWUBA legend Dannii Minogue was the first warning that she's as tough as they come, but her European debut was equally impressive and confirms her status as one of the hot prospects for the flyweight division where the champion's belt changed hands more often then anywhere else in BBU organization. Higgs looks ready to challenge the big guns and one can expect her making a serious charge towards the title in the upcoming months.
