Just two fights left on the card and it's a highly anticipated clash coming in the lighweight division next. Reigning champion Rochelle Wiseman (Double A Boxing) takes on the late-blooming sensation from Australia, Poppy Montgomery (Downunder Boxing). Montgomery became an overnight star in FCBA when she sensationally knocked out Jenny McCarthy last October and these two women have agreed a rematch in the upcoming days already on the next FCBA PPV, but it's Wiseman who gets the opportunity first and she looks annoyed that despite being the champion and having a better percentage record then even the great Sabrina Washington, all eyes are on Montgomery.

Indeed, the extra buzz surrounding Poppy's rematch with McCarthy adds a lot of interest to this BBU bout, there's no question Montgomery will be sharp as hell and Wiseman could get that snack before lunch treatment if she's not careful. Ignoring Montgomery, 17 years her senior would be a lethal mistake according to most

Round 1:
Wiseman charges out early, peppering the Aussie's face, but Poppy just ducks away easily, countering from distance and couple of hooks land on the English girl's breasts before an uppercut grazes her in the jaw and forces to jump away. Rochelle circles around and fakes a few shots, but Poppy ducks and weaves around those efforts, before sidestepping into the corner. Wiseman moves on her, tries to land a big jab in the face but catches the leather and gets rocked with a straight jab in the mouth herself. Crowd goes up a notch as Poppy smiles back at her rival and teses her into coming forward again. Rochelle thinks better of it and retreats, leaving the Aussie to fake an aggressive charge herself, but couple of wild swings make no impression on the champ before the round is over.

Round 2:
Rochelle keen to make a serious impact, jabs at Poppy from close distance, but the blonde's guard is bulletproof, and there's a sharp hook from the Aussie and the champ's head rocks to the side. Another from the right and Rochelle winces but tries to respond, throws a hook all teh way around the guard and nails the challenger in the ear, but Poppy laces her in the ribs and clinches before pushing her to the ropes. Rochelle lands a couple of jabs in the ribcage but Poppy leans on her and forces the ref to step in. Big jab straight after the command catches the champ in the mouth as Poppy fires from both flanks and Rochelle jumps to the side before throwing a hook in response. That goes wayward of the blonde's head and a big jab breaks Wiseman's guard again, lacing her in the chin. Montgomery unloads from both wings again keeping her opponent pinned to the ropes and it's a excellent piece of boxing from the veteran, making look the champ like a mediocre also-run. Big jabs sway Wiseman's head back and forth and only the bell comes to the rescue. Poppy looks mighy impressive and leaves her rival and most of the crowd stunned.

Round 3:
Despite a poor start Wiseman desperately tries to ignite some fire, leaping up to the challenger and nailing her in the guts a couple of time, but she can't land anything on the face. Poppy counters with a single jab and it's leather-testing for most part of the round, Montgomery really laying it out to the champ and looking stronger of the two. Double jabbing combo to the face is followed up with a low shot to the ribs and Wiseman takes all in, responding with a weak hook that once again goes well wide of the mark. Poppy throws more jabs and backs the English girl to the ropes where she unloads more heavy blows to the chest and tummy, Rochelle just covers up and throws single punches in response. Poppy targets the face, couple of hooks crash off the leather but then a big hook from the left goes around it and catches the champ on the cheek. Rochelle leans further backwards but a stiff jab breaks the guard and the blonde pours in with another jab in the mouth. Heavy pasting from the Aussie veteran. Rochelle unable to escape the trap tries to clinch but gets laced in the stomach as Poppy's relentless charge is paying huge dividends. People in the stands look in disbelief as Rochelle is being torn apart by the blonde's methodical display of boxing. At the bell it's all about the Aussie and the Double A corner looks disgusted.

Round 4:
Wiseman circles around the ropes, looking bleak but Poppy squares up to her quickly and lands a couple of hooks that crash off the leather but a gut wrencher follow up rocks the champion and there's a crisp uppercut in the jaw in the middle of all that as Rochella falls to the ropes and the story continues. Poppy lashes out at her, landing big jabs in the chest and couple of hooks break through the guard and land on the mouth. Rochelle moans in pain, weaves around the ropes, but gets pushes only as far as the corner post where a massive right hook sends her rocking to the side again. Montgomery with a furious charge, turns on the screw, lands more jabs and at the bell Wiseman's lip is one big mess, having been cut wide open in couple of places. She remained upright despite the blonde's best efforts, but the cutmen are forced into an extensive work during the interval and whatever plan Wiseman had for this bout, it's gone down the gutter helped on by Montgomery's top class showing.

Round 5:
Blonde picks up where she left off, squaring up to the champion and landing crisp jabs in the midsection before covering up for a wild hook from the champion. Rochelle jumps and almost pushes her opponent over; she's so eager to damage her, but gets clinched and shoved to the ropes. Poppy's immediate flyimg hook goes missing as Wiseman deked out of the way and she counters with a couple of hooks that finally find their way past the blonde's guard and snap her head backwards. Rochelle on the charge now, laces the challenger in the guts and lands a solid uppercut, testing Poppy's chin, but it holds firm and the Aussie jumps to the ropes as Wiseman leaps after her. Both girls begin to trade punches, couple of hooks graze Montgomery's cheek before she responds with a big hook to the nose and Rochelle wobbles on her legs before clinching as Poppy for gasping for air herself. Extended clinch follows, referee separates them a couple of times, but they show little interest in breaking clear and the round ends in a stalemate along the ropes.

Round 6:
Offensive charge from Poppy and she whacks Rochelle between the gloves, busting her nose up with a massive jab. Wiseman's briefly rooted to the spot and gets caught a couple of more times from both wings as the Aussie delivers punishment without any response. Rochelle jumps to the side, but gets countered by another left hook from Poppy that lands on the mouth and the old wounds have been opened up again. Wiseman completely out of her comfort zone, enables the Aussie to close in and land sharp jabs to the ribs and push her to the ropes. Rochelle's guard is turned into a minced meat, Poppy breaks it with massive jabs and lands another stiff one to the nose. More blood covers the champion's face now and it's getting really ugly. Montgomery lands vicious jabs from both flanks and Wiseman just stands there, taking all the pounding in the world. She sinks on her knees and Poppy almost shreds her apart, but finally runs out of steam and drops the intensity of the barrage as Wiseman's unable to respond anymore, leaning on the ropes, blood all over her face!!! There's the bell and Montgomery is ripping the English girl apart in thunderous fashion.

Round 7:
Hardly a clean spot on Wiseman's face, her nose and mouth squashed into jelly, but she's not ready to quit. Poppy breaths heavily but is keen to continue with the execution and seconds into the seventh she laces Wiseman in the chin before landing another jab in the eye. Rochelle cannot even cover up for those shots anymore, sways on her feet and stumbles over to the ropes when another hook nails her in the ear. Poppy leaps forward, jabging to the head from both sides and Wiseman is dead on her legs, unable to defend herself. Another left hook to the nose opens up the wound and the blood continues to pour again. And there's another hook to the jaw from close range. Rochelle's arms drop to the side and the ref steps in grabbing her by the waist as her eyes bawl out in agony. It's all over!!! TKO R7 and the NEW BBU lightweight champion Poppy Montgomery!!!

Post-fight:
Poppy climbs the ropes and waves her gloves to the crowd, blowing kisses to everyone around!!! She looks happy with that thunderclap victory over the seemingly unvincible Rochelle Wiseman and the matter of success was overwhelming. Poppy looks ready for the McCarthy rematch more then she could have dreamed of. One can suspect she has her eyes firmly on the FCBA career now and could only return to Britain to defend her title but she's wrote the chronicles, becoming the first non-European BBU title-holder in the organization's history. Moreover the guests from Down Under end their appearance on tonight's card with five wins and just a single loss.

Meanwhile it's a very tough pill to swallow for the outgoing champion Wiseman who just couldn't live with Montgomery's core strenght and technique. Katy Perry exposed her weaknesses last August and now another FCBA regular has done likewise. Rochelle was thoroughly beaten and busted up by the veteran and she leaves the ring with a gigantic ice pack covering her swollen face. However there's little doubt that the 23 year old singer will be back very soon as she's still got the measure of almost the entire BBU lightweight division.
