The Flyweight Invitational event kicks off with Lioness Club's own Jeanette Biedermann returning into action for the first time since a painful loss to Emilie Ullerup last December. Her rival is the London-based Dutch model, Sylvie van der Vaart, wife of Tottenham Hotspur player Rafael van der Vaart.

Sylvie enters the ring first and looks somewhat nervous and there's a brief delay before Jeanette rushes out of the locker room. Whispers in the stands indicate that she clashed with Emilie Ullerup backstage and had to be dragged away by the security and coach Gina Wild who follows her to the ring looking very upset. Extended German cursing is heard before this bout and surely Biedermann's focus is under question. Will van der Vaart take advantage of this situation? The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Jeanette steps in, looks to teach the newcomer a lesson but misses a couple of early jabs and Sylvie backs away before single punching in response. Aggressive jabbing from the German, but Sylvie's guard holds up well under the test and the Dutch blonde swings a hook herself, but Jeanette steps out of reach and circles to the other side. Sylvie keeps tracking her but gets laced in the stomach after a quick leap from the German. She tries to respond but can't reach Biedermann who shows little signs of distraction despite the clash with Ullerup. Couple of big jabs from Jeanette and Sylvie gets nailed in the nose, being forced back to the ropes quickly afterwards. Jeanette steps up a gear, traps her rival in the corner with more intensive jabbing and Sylvie just covers up, struggling to tame the onslaught. Bidermann with chaotic shots from both flanks, peppers her in the arms and body and it's a wasted opportunity as van der Vaart throws a low hook and catches her in the jugs before they lock in a clinch. Jeanette tries a cheap shot to the back of the head and gets shoved away by the referee. Early warning for the German blonde! Sylvie circles around the ropes, still looking overwhelmed by the occassion and Jeanette can't close her down in time before the bell anymore.

Round 2:
Another aggressive jump from Jeanette who doesn't allow the Dutch rival to catch a break and throws a series of jabs to the body before an uppercut attempts tests Sylvie's guard. Biedermann pours in with the sequence to the ribs and van der Vaart tries to respond with single jabs in the middle of all those efforts, but misses the German's head repeatedly and there's a left hook which lands straight on her jaw and Sylvie wobbles back to the ropes as Jeanette laces her in the eye with a jabbing follow-up. Sylvie gets trapped along the ropes as the German unloads a furious attack, now working with great intensity, throwing punches from all areas. Van der Vaart is buried under the onslaught and just soaks all the punishment, covering up in despair. Crowd urges the German to finish her off, but she can't send her down despite Sylvie sinking on her knees. Biedermann scoffs at her and finally gets somewhat tired, dropping the intensity and sending single punches to the arms and body. The Dutch blonde weathers the storm but at the bell she's visibly shaken, breathing with difficuilty, her face reddened by all those blows from Biedermann.

Round 3:
Jeanette in firey mode again, suaures up to her rival immediately after the bell and throws a solid combination to the midsection. Sylvie's puzzled, her footwork's hardly impressive; not looking to escape trouble and bide some time along the ropes. She tries to handle the German in a straight-forward exchange and she's coming second best as Jeanette laces her in the breasts before avoiding single jabs to the face. Bidermann ducks ands weaves, dances around the Dutch blonde and counters her repeatedly from both flanks, showing more speed and agility. Van der Vaart annoyed with her progress, tries to jump forward but can't match the German's lightness, several punches cut through the air and add further misery. Jeanette with a nasty jabbing sequence to the head, sways the Dutch girl from side to side and signs off the round with a heavy gutwrencher. She's just beating Sylvie up after three rounds and looks in total control much to the crowd's delight.

Round 4:
Dutch girl tries to turn the things around early in the fourth, steps up and throws a nasty sequence to the ribs which Biedermann was slow to react for once and a low uppercut whacks her in the jugs before a wild uppercut goes wayward. Sylvie with a good charge, but still lacks pure execution and Jeanette's not that impressed at all, counters after jumping to the side, thumps the blonde rival in the chest, follows up to the head and Sylvie's caught in the nose twice, stumbles backwards and Jeanette just misses a haymaker to the cheek, grazing van der Vaart's ear instead. Both girls with more intensive footwork rate now, but Sylvie just wants to jump away into safety as Biedermann hassles her around, throwing jabs at her with no signs of letting off the pressure. Dutch girl drops her arms and switches into pure avoidance mode as Jeanette steps on her but misses another hook to the face and fails to trap her along the ropes as well. Sylvie circles back, clearly overwhelmed by the German's relentless charge, but Jeanette can't continue with it forever and also retreats in the dying seconds of the round.

Round 5:
Early hook from van der Vaart catches Biedermann in the mouth but a follow up crashes off the leather and Jeanette responds with a big hook to the ribs as Sylvie bends down in pain, feeling that blow. Jeanette with quick jabs to the head, tries to take advantage of the brief moment of her opponent's unsettlement and works her over, pushing to the ropes and jabbing to the arms and body. Van der Vaart moans in pain under the barrage but covers up. Biedermann has none of it, pounds her couple of times in teh ribs from the left and another right hook results in a loud scream from Sylvie. Crowd is on their feet and the Dutch girl is hurting a lot, unable to fnd any response now. Jeanette thumps her in the midsection time after time and Sylvie sinks on her knees even firther. Wild swing from the German catches her on top of the head and there's more punches now breaking the guard and landing all over the Sylvie's face. She can't take it for too long and finally goes down on her knees after another hook caught her in the jaw!!! Several unanswered blows shattered the Dutch blonde's face during that onslaught and she has extreme problems with getting up as the ref counts her to eight. Van der Vaart's on her feet, her face battered and bruised with a big swelling around the left eye. It's almost over for her but the ref gives her another chance. Surely a mistake for a rookie who's been pounded around the ring on her her debut? Only few seconds left on the clock and Sylvie manages to jump to the side and avoid more cruel blows from the German who now sports a wide smile instead of being angry. She's got the Dutch blonde at her mercy and she knows it.

Round 6:
Lots of people in the crowd wonder how come this bout hasn't ended late in the fifth already, but the Dutch girl bravely comes out from her stool only to get whacked by an early hook from Biedermann again. She tries to throw some jabs, however looks awfully slow, clearly feeling the effects of the rough treatment she received so far tonight. Jeanette leaps around her avoiding all the efforts and continues to send venomous blows to the midsection and chest. Sylvie falls onto the ropes and reverts in a desperate cover as Bidermann sinks her further on the knees, landing a series of jabs and showing no signs of easing off the pressure. Sylvie's completely torn apart now, cringes with every punch landing on her bruised body and Biedermann rips through her gloves with couple of hooks, lands another nasty jab to the nose and the ref finally steps in as the beatdown was reaching mammoth proportions. TKO R6 Jeanette Biedermann!!!

Post-fight:
Jeanette punches the air in delight, leads the applause looking mighty confident after the dominant performance to open the Flyweight Invitational. There's still a long way for her to rank among the best of the division and she's hardly been tested by the Dutch newcomer tonight, but neither she nor the Lioness Club executives will mind that too much. Mission has been accomplished and she's looking towards Cheryl Cole as her next opponent already.

Meanwhile it was a rough BBU introduction for Sylvie van der Vaart who showed a lot of spirit in the early stages but was eventually thumped into defeat in a really vicious fashion by the ruthless German. Medics attend the Dutch model after the fight and she requires an extended treatment for all the cuts and bruises to her face, but looks to have gotten over this result very quickly and flashes a smile to the crowd as she leaves the ring and heads back to the locker room. The crowd responds with a decent applause, either impressed by her physical appearance or by the fact she didn't trouble the local favorite despite some pre-fight concerns about Biedermann's rustiness.
