BEFORE:

"Nobody's picking ME to win," says a smiling Jamie Lynn. "That's ok. They'll just all be wrong, that's all."

"Yeah, I said it," says Rachael. "After starching a Top 20 fly like Harnois, I deserve a better class of opponent than Jamie Lynn Spears. Oh, and tell her the reason no one's picking her to win is because she's not GOING to!"

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back to ringside, Jenny O'Dell with Pam Anderson and Tess Valmore and I do believe that's 'Follow Me' on the sound system and here comes Jamie Lynn Spears, coming to the ring with big sis, who'll no doubt run the corner tonight."

Pam: "Kind of a big fight for the kid, Jenny. She's had some successes in her young career, but some setbacks, too. Coming off a disappointing loss to Miley Cyrus, it would be nice to get a 'W' over a good, veteran fighter tonight."

O'Dell:  "Jamie Lynn Into the ring, helped off with the robe to reveal a pink number...and Cook's wasting no time, because that would be Fat Boy Slim and 'The Rockafeller Skank', and here comes Rachael..."

Pam: "Cook's back from the wilderness, Jenny. She'd had one fight in two years when she got management again, this time from the Garnet Gunners, and since, she's gone the distance with Mishy and knocked out Beth Harnois. She wants to build on that win, and beating Spears is the way to do that."

O'Dell: "Cook into the ring, helped off with the robe, and that's a nice silver bikini. Can we get a prediction, Pam?"

Pam: "I think you have to go with the veteran Cook here. Jamie Lynn has shown talent, but she's been very inconsistent."

O'Dell: "And, Tess has previously predicted this one for Cook, and I don't expect she's changed her mind...."

Tess: "I'm with Pam, I think experience will be the difference."

O'Dell: "Let's find out. There's the bell and we're underway in the first. Spears out aggressively with that jab, but not finding much with it. Rachael counter-punching and having a bit more success. Jamie Lynn getting off, but not landing much. Cook showing angles and head movement and countering well off misses and glancing blows."

Pam: "This is the experience I was talking about. When Cook was fighting for TU, Spears was fourteen. Rachael's using the younger girl's aggression against her."

O'Dell: "Spears looking more tentative now as the round goes on. Cook landing nice combinations. Spears off balance, unable to find the range. This is good, fundamental stuff from Cook."

Pam: "Nothing special about it, but it works."

O'Dell: "Spears lands a right but a nice flurry in response from Rachel and there's the bell to end the first. No doubt about the winner, Pam."

Pam: "Cook in control from bell to bell. Great start from Rachael, and that's exactly what she wanted. You have to wonder about Spears' confidence, and if Cook piles up a few rounds, whether or not 'Here we go again' is going to start running through the blonde's mind."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second round underway and Jamie Lynn beginning to find the range, sticking that jab and hooking body off of it. Backing Cook up in the early going."

Pam: "Rachael looking to counter, but Spears getting the hands back quickly, showing better movement, getting squared up better."

O'Dell: "Spears banging body as Cook fires back to the head. Jamie Lynn digging to the midsection, using the shoulder to bump Cook back, then landing a hook to the side of the head. Rachael being crowded and forced back."

Pam: "Spears now dictating tempo, and it's a faster one than Cook would like."

O'Dell: "Jamie Lynn puts punches in bunches! Nice flurry forces Cook to cover up. Rachael right back with a couple of good shots of her own as the bell rings. Nice combo to end it for Cook, but that was the blonde's round."

Pam: "Certainly was."

Tess: "I agree. I have it 19-19 through two."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Pretty even so far as we head to the third, and Spears right back on the offensive, sticking that left in Cook's face, moving her with it, hooking body with the right hand, backing Rachael up."

Pam: "This isn't the fight Cook wants. She wants to be able to play angles and counter, but Spears is dictating at the moment. Cook finding some openings, but Jamie Lynn's calling the match."

O'Dell: "Spears thumping that body with the right hand, looking to drop that guard. Cook not biting, poking with the left, looking to find spots for the right, but being forced off her position by Jamie Lynn. Spears accurate with the jab, scoring with it, and using it to frustrate Cook's offense."

Tess: "Those body shots are going to start adding up, too. Spears has heavy hands for a flyweight."

Pam: "Good point, Tess."

Tess: "I'm not sure how to respond to that. I'm not USED to being complimented by the color commentator..."

O'Dell: "And there's the bell to end the third, another good round for Spears."

Pam: "And it puts her in the lead. 29-28 through three."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Ready to go for round four and Spears a nice combination right off the bell. Landed a couple of good shots in there that backed Cook up."

Pam: "Here's the thing about Spears, she's a physical flyweight. She's about 5'5", which is tall for the division, and she walks around at 115 or so, and, as I said, she has heavy hands. Sometimes that works against her, because she gets caught up in wanting to bang with girls when she can outbox them. That's what happened against Cyrus, and, to some extent, against Simpson. But, tonight, it's working the other way. She's using that power effectively to take a more experienced boxer out of her game."

O'Dell: "And Spears ROCKS Cook with a left-right-left! Solid jab, then a right cross that wobbled the knees and a left hook to the side of the head! Rachael backed up and covering up as Jamie digs body."

Pam: "Spears thudding that leather off the belly and lats. Cook taking a pounding along the ropes. Spears a solid left splits the gloves, back to the body with a right hook."

O'Dell: "Cook trying to answer, but being heavily outworked at the bell, and Jamie Lynn's stretching that lead, Pam."

Pam: "I've got it 39-37. How about you, Tess?"

Tess: "Same here."

ROUIND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Britney was doing some talking to Jamie Lynn between rounds Tess."

Tess: "Sure was, and I'm next to Spears' corner and was able to hear most of it. Britney was in her ear about focusing and not going all in for a knockout."

Pam: "Pretty good advice in this situation. Cook isn't out of this fight, and trying to finish her to early is a good way to get in trouble."

O'Dell: "Jamie Lynn listening to big sis, jabbing and moving her feet. Cook keeping the guard high, but Spears able to put punches through small windows, landing a good percentage despite Rachael's defensive posture."

Pam: "Cook's not right, Jenny. Looks slow and heavy-legged. She got rung up some that last round, and I don't think she's all the way back yet."

O'Dell: "Spears taking full advantage, staying busy, scoring well, moving her head and feet, backing Cook up with a solid right there."

Pam: "Staying in control, though. Just like Britney told her. Speaking of Britney, there's a girl I wouldn't mind lacing them up against before I hang them up for good..."

O'Dell: "Couple of icons. I could see that putting butts in seats. And speaking of butts, Jamie Lynn trying to put Rachael on HERS with a four-punch flurry that wobbled Cook! Rachael leans in and clinches as the bell rings ending another excellent round for Jamie Lynn Spears!"

Pam: "49-46 now. Spears has some breathing room.

Tess: "Our picks aren't looking very good at the moment, Pam."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Into the sixth now and Cook coming forward to meet Spears, landing a double-pump jab and hooking the body."

Pam: "Wondering when Cook was going to get more aggressive. Trying to box Jamie Lynn wasn't working. Needed to change tactics."

O'Dell: "And that's what she's done. She's pushing forward, getting a bit lower, digging body, landing some thumping stuff."

Pam: "Jamie Lynn on her heels a bit, surprised by how aggressive Cook is being. Rachael's seized the momentum big time, slowing Jamie Lynn down with the body attack and throwing off her timing with this level change..."

O'Dell: "Nice uppercut, Cook! That hurt Spears! Jamie Lynn backed up...and WOBBLED with a right hook! Rachael right back to that ribcage and ANOTHER uppercut! Spears hurt again, clinching now, legs a bit unsteady. Cook punching free, taking plenty of body as Jamie Lynn has the guard up high. Good straight right from Cook backs Spears up again."

Pam: "Cook looking for the big shot here. Spears covering up to try to prevent it..."

O'Dell: "She won't get it. That's the bell to end the sixth, and it was Cook's best round of the fight."

Pam: "Got her back in it."

Tess: "That, it did. 58-56 through six."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "The seventh is underway and here comes Rachael forward...and she's stopped cold by the blonde! Nice one-two to the head by Spears and Jamie Lynn hooking lats, then banging a right off the side of Cook's head."

Pam: "Kid's shaken off the hurt, hasn't she?"

Tess: "And she's dishing some of it out at the moment."

O'Dell: "Spears backs up Cook with a pair of nice uppercuts to the chin! Cook digs back to the body, but Spears can play that game, too, burying a right hook to the midsection, shouldering Cook back and sticking the left in her face."

Pam: "This is a great response from Jamie Lynn."

O'Dell: "And it gets better! Right hand wobbles Cook!"

Tess: "Rachael got a piece of that or it was lights out!"

O'Dell: "Spears with a rally that backs Cook up again!"

Pam: "There were two solid rights in that burst. The second one put a little limber in Cook's knees."

O'Dell: "Spears snaps the head back with a left and bangs a right to the side of the head as the seventh comes to an end. And there's no doubt she's back in charge, Pam."

Pam: "68-65 with three to go. Jamie Lynn's fight to lose. ESPN's crawl has this one on 'Upset Watch' as we speak."

ROUND EIGHT:

O'Dell: "On to the eighth and Cook moving forward again, wants to work in close, and Spears is OK with that. The two fighters going body in the early going, Spears a nice left to the head, Cook counters an overhand right. Spears lands a good three-punch and Cook answers to the belly."

Pam: "This may be one of those situations where being physical isn't the best idea for Jamie Lynn. She's got a nice lead here. Cook has to pressure. Why not force her to work forward and fight outside?"

O'Dell: "Doesn't appear to be the game plan. They could fight this round in the proverbial phone booth..."

Tess: "You know, there's a cliche that's going to have to be updated at some point. When was the last time you saw a phone booth?"

O'Dell: "The could fight this thing in a shower stall?"

Pam: "Not bad, Jenny..."

O'Dell: "And there's a shower of punches from the blonde...backed Cook up a step with that last right hand. Rachael fires back and Spears scores to the head then hooks to the body. Jamie Lynn outworking the brunette, Pam.

Pam: "I agree. Spears just digging for points in tight. Nothing pretty about it, but plenty effective. There's the bell to end the eighth, and Spears has got Cook in a hole, Tess."

Tess: "I've got it 78-74 with two to go. Cook needs something big."

ROUND NINE:

O'Dell: "The ninth underway and we're back in that shower stall. Cook comes out to meert Jamie Lynn and Spears stands toe to toe with her and here we go!"

Pam: "Still not sure about this strategy. With a lead, maybe Spears ought to be fighting outside."

Tess: "This is what her corner wants, Pam. They think she's got the advantage because she's younger and fresher."

O'Dell: "And, so far, they're right. Spears outworking Cook in close, wedging in shoulder to shoulder, banging body, coming upstairs occasionally. Rachael looking for something big, but not finding it."

Pam: "Cook doing more head hunting, for obvious reasons. Can't spend too much time on the body, because she needs a knockdown or two at least."

O'Dell: "And that's certainly her plan, but Jamie Lynn isn't having any. Backing Cook up with a nice flurry there. Rachael fires back and Spears digs to the belly as the bell rings."

Pam: "Cook needs a knockout now. I've got it 88-83. She's got to stop Spears or Jamie Lynn's going to pull the upset."

ROUND TEN:

O'Dell: "One round to go and Cook and Spears once again toe-to-toe to start the round, banging away at close quarters. Cook clinching, wrapping around Spears' head...OH! RIGHT UPPERCUT COOK AND DOWN GOES SPEARS!"

Pam: "Shouldn't have been in there in the first place. With the lead she has, box and dance for three minutes!"

O'Dell: "Spears wobbles to her feet at eight. Will take the mandatory..."

Pam: "I'm seeing the replay on my monitor now, and that was sneaky stuff from Cook. She wrapped around Spears' head, pulled it down with the left and then slammed the uppercut home with the right..."

O'Dell: "Referee waives Cook forward and she's all in! Spears rocked backward with a nasty flurry to the head. Jamie Lynn covering up...NAILED WITH A HARD LEFT-RIGHT! Spears staggered! Referee watching closely..."

Pam: "Kid's ready to go. Dominated the fight and she's blowing it in the last round..."

O'Dell: "Hard right by Cook! Spears answers with a good one-two! Rachael letting the hands go! Backs Jamie Lynn up. Spears firing back with a good flurry! That got Cook's attention. Rachael not taking a step back, though. Letting it all go to try to stop the blonde! Good right from Cook...HARD LEFT HOOK SPEARS! Spears with a right-left that backed up Cook!"

Pam: "Cook's HURT!"

O'Dell: "And Spears knows it! Jamie Lynn thumps a left hook to the head, snaps back Cook's head with a right cross! Rachael stumbles backward, fires a right, Spears with a BOOMING left over top and Cook staggers...nearly goes down! The brunette wobbled into the ropes and Jamie Lynn going to town! Referee looking in again and now it's Cook he's watching. Spears a three-punch flurry that knocked sweat flying! Cook stumbles along the ropes..."

Tess: "She's out on her feet!"

O'Dell: "Spears a left-right! Cook staggered again! Bell! Bell! It's over! What a rally by Jamie Lynn Spears!"

Pam: "Ten more seconds and Cook's sucking canvas!"

Tess: "Not going to matter, though. Cook got that round, but what WAS 10-8 is going to be 10-9...and even 10-8 wouldn't have been enough..."

Pam: "Right, I've got it 97-93, a good, solid decision, but even that's not the story. It's how this kid got up and turned the tide in the tenth. That was SOME kind of a performance by the winner UD10, Jamie Lynn Spears!."

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Decision announced now, so let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I'm here with our winner, Jamie Lynn Spears and..."

Jamie Lynn(still out of breath): "She couldn't DO anything! She tried to box me, and she couldn't do THAT. She tried to SLUG with me and she couldn't do THAT. She even held me and hit me. She tried EVERYTHING and NOTHING worked! Know why? Because I'm better. That's all. I'm just BETTER and I proved it. Go ask her if she thinks I'm a good enough opponent NOW!"
