BEFORE: "It's a stay-busy fight for me, but a tough stay-busy," Missy says by way of face-slap and compliment in one. "We've always had Laura Vandervoort just a smidge higher on our scouting report for the young Foxfire lightweights, so it'll be interesting to see how Mary compares right now. Honestly, I think she's there to be hit, there to be hurt...I've got a chance to showcase and I'm really excited to get in and take it to her!" MEW a little gobsmacked - Missy playing the Laura card, AND being superior at podium. "I think I know what Missy can do with her scouting reports!" combative MEW chirps at podium. "I'm not fancy; I'm not cheesecake poster-material, but I'll tell you what: I'm a fighter. Missy Peregrym's taking me for granted and I won't have that. If she's expecting Laura only a 'smidge' easier? Missy's in for the worst night of her life!" Peregrym perky in lavender cotton sport top with thin straps; boy-leg royal blue bottoms with thin white belt; white gloves; gym-rat ponytail with messy bangs. MEW in yellow bikini top; charcoal low-rise boy-leg slugging bottoms with a velvet finish; black gloves; high fashion ponytail with bangs. Girls pound gloves hard when asked to touch 'em up; tuff grins an both eager faces.

R1: Midring Mary - she lowers her head, pumps in lefts and rights to Missy's hard gut; Peregrym forced to dig in to withstand the ab-shock. MEW off the body via ringing hook to chin and MISSY PEREGRYM'S DOWN! Missy hooked to her buns, hands behind her, taking her weight as she sits in astonishment; MEW seething down, yelling: "Showcasin' your buns Missy!" until ref shoos her away. Peregrym up quickly, bouncing on the spot during 8 count, then ON COMES MARY! Pawing jab; overhand right to ear as Missy ducks/covers; Peregrum back with tuff right uppercut to body off the ropes; trading hooks as Winstead won't back off. Missy ducks/lifts right uppercut to the Winstead midsection again; another trade in hooks punches Peregrym's back into ropes! Mary into the abs again hup-hup-hup, then hooking for chin...Winstead a woman possessed - ponytail tossing maniacally side to side as keeps elbows in, hunches forward and works. That's the way of it - Missy fighting for her life off the ropes, ripping Mary hard shots to the body, trading licks up top, but Winstead won't budge. Bell: Mary shouting "YEAH!" hot into Missy's blinking face...that's MEW storming out and taking a 10-8 round from Missy Peregrym.

R2: Hard-nosed Missy comes out grim faced, determined. Step-and-jab routine from Missy early - putting poke on Mary midring, sidestepping to turn the Winstead right flank. Mary turning - dukes at cheeks, head bobbing...she's looking to weave the poke, then leap in hooks. Both girls having moments, but Peregrym basically dictating - or at least suggesting terms: jab controlling Mary; stiff right hands keeping Mary honest through 2.

R3: Same again - Missy looking to establish an orderly, methodical pace, working behind the jab, the right hand cocked at her shoulder, deploying in straight, short shots to chin at intervals. MEW out on the end of the work, turning to match Missy's circular pivots...Winstead bob-and-lunging to bring heavy hooks to Missy's ribcage in spots.

R4: Peregrym's third straight...she's fighting her fight here. Mary creating moments of tension and suspense off her lunging hook - leads to bump-and-dig exchanges as girls work shoulder to shoulder in spots, but for the most part, Missy's outside, pumping the jab, picking her shots. MEW lumping up nicely under Missy's crunching poke - not uncommon to see Winstead in crossed arm, bobbing on the spot as Missy picks her over with a number of thumping left jabs in orderly succession.

R5: Missy working the plan - circling Mary, keeping the jab on her, but now Peregrym's mixing in the hurt. Straight, sudden right hands off the shoulder penetrating, knocking back Mary's face with spanking authority. Left hooks off the jab finding Mary's rightside lats as Winstead ducks into earmuff. Batting left hooks to waist bunch Mary up, bring a grimace to her lips, but she never stops trying to lunge for Missy's chin via the hook. Winstead able to leap inside and cause turmoil in spots, but Missy's iron discipline starting to be decisive through 5.

R6: Mary's been leaping in all night: hook finally catches Missy CLANGING flush, driving a spellbound Peregrym back into ropes. Missy: eyes glassy, lips parted, strong legs digging in as she's butt-in-ropes/hands-at-eyebrows. Mary: sensing hurt - stepping-to, RIPPING a hook across the waistline, then leaning in righty to test the defences. It's Mary on Missy, thick n' tuff: Winstead pawing at Missy, nudging at her, then SMOKING her hook-to-gut, or hook-to-ear - batting away a few left hands in succession, then driving short-righty between the mitts. By the midway point, Peregrym's head starting to loll back on impact, her hands wilting...Mary's loosening Missy up! RINGING hook toggles Missy's chin, buckling her knees...she slides to her right along ropes, eyes all "don't-hurt-me" as Mary steps-with, grinning. Hacking right to left ear; hopped-in hook to mouth as Missy's spilling to her right...Peregrym nearly dropped, but tumbles along ropes to her corner instead, stabilizing herself against the turnbuckles. Mary wades in, pushing head in between Missy's mitts, fists a-PUMPIN' to breadbasket...Peregrym's face pinched in distress, just sponging it up from Mary here. It's Winstead on Peregrym to the bell - Mary just shovin' and a-slugging, keeping her head on Missy's chest while wearing out the body. Bell: Mary pushing up off all hot-and-sweaty Big Girl...Missy cringing, hugging her ribcage after one of the worst single rounds of her career. Goes 10-8 without the knockdown: Mary's PUMPED!

R7: Winstead jabs Missy to ropes, loops in righty over Missy's oustretched arms to HAMMER that left eye: Peregrym's hurt, covering up earmuff, trusting her body to withstand Mary's work as Winny squares up. Good times for Mary: strong legs braced wide - she'll palm Missy's broad shoulders to prep her, then rip Missy the hook-to=waist - palm up again to set - then clout MIssy righty-onna-ear. Peregrym numb, hurting, but strong legs holding her up: she's hating it from Mary here, just soaking up the hurt. Winstead bell to bell strong on Missy - pushing on Peregrym, owning her, thumping the body, then looking for uppercuts or clouting shots up top. Missy rides it out tuff, but she's busting up - both eyes swelling nicely, and her ribs quiver at trainer's touch during break.

R8: Missy grim-faced, determined to back Mary down in the 8th. Peregrym pumping left jabs, easing weight to back (right) leg while walking Mary onto the short left hook...Winny gobbling some tough shots here, working her way inside only to be clinched for ref's breaks. Smart, hard-working punch-n'-clutch worked by Missy here - allowing Mary to be aggressive, but pre-empting her, then tying up before Winstead can get off. Midway through, Mary's knees buckle as she munches on that short, clipping hook on the walk-in: Missy doesn't gamble on the chance - just ties Mary up, waits for break, then keeps working the plan, touching Mary up to bell. Mary nicely bruised at this point, left eye closing...tough fight for both girls through 8 hard rounds.

R9: Back to back shutouts for Missy P: she's jabbing Mary as Winstead's weaving forward; catching Mary the shrugging short left hook off the right (back) plant leg - then either pivoting left or tying up. Winstead visibly slowing now: Missy's controlling her, then catching her clean, tuff shots...Winstead's legs sponging up the harm, but her pace is slowing, and her output's a mere trickle compared to her earlier rounds.

R10: Gutcheck time for Mary Winstead as Missy gets hard-hearted. Winny groggily forward - back of right hand at left cheek; back of left hand supporting right elbow as she's bobbing in, trying to get close. Missy PUMPING the jab, stepping back to lure Mary forward, then hooking her head or body, pivoting-left around the harm. Drilling, straight right hands from Missy kiss off Mary's forehead; short, jagged left uppercut search for Mary's chin as Missy leans in on front (left) leg. Tic-toc body work from Missy hammers both sides of Mary's waist: Missy's arms batting away straight, her back shredding into muscular relief as she gives Mary the business downstairs. Winstead's curvy legs hold her up, but it's a payback beating if you've ever seen one: cold-blooded Missy answering some of the hard-work Mary did earlier with an equally brutal treatment. Bell: Mary reeling, battered wobbly-butt, but too proud to take a knee...comes back UD10 Missy P in surprisingly competitive fashion.

After: Classy Missy having a respectful word with Mary in immediate aftermath, patting Mary's tummy when they're done then going over to shake hands with Mary's trainer and Beth. Peregrym battered lumpy herself - sporting an angry shiner on the left eye...she's deeply impressed by the fight she got out of Mary Elizabeth Winstead tonight. "Tougher than expected," Missy grins/winces in postfight, hands on hips, ribs visibly bruised. "I just told her afterward, 'you're top of the chart' and I apologized for under-estimating her. I never dreamed Mary Winstead could slug me off my feet, but she went right at me like a champ tonight. I had to rally from hard beatings all night - it was incredible really, the pressure she put on me. I didn't think I would come out of this fight better than I went in, but it's obvious that Mary made me grow a little. If I hadn't, she'd be talking to you right now - not me!"
